The first game I ever played was the special yellow edition and at the same time used one of my friends red versions.

I first got hold of/saw people playing Red/Blue while I was in elementary school. I loved Pokémon at the time but I just found the games complicated. Plus I was too poor to afford a gameboy. Eventually I got a GameBoy Color and the first Pokémon game I owned was Silver.
