If you want good strategies, you can always go to Serebii, pick your fave Pokemon, then see what their Pokemon of the week/day says. It will give you a good moveset and lots of other cool things like strategy and what ability and item.

i don't really do all the moveset and stuf i usually just work with pokemon that have a high defense like geodude

But what is it good against...? Normal? Flying? Bug?
But what is it weak against? Grass, water, ground, fighting...
Shows that rock has more weaknesses then it does strengths... :/

I'm pretty sure rock is invulnerable to electric attacks as well.
