Why not have everyone as your rival?  Its going to be like that once you start playing anyways.

you need to have that one person that you're going to have to strive to beat.
it's going to be a give in that you will fight everyone.
but there can be only one rival.
just like in the games.

I want Amphy to be my rival!

Mr Pokemon:
It would be nice to have a rival. That way I'd have a goal to work towards that keeps progressing, instead of beating the games and being done.
