To my knowledge, Rotom does not change his type when taking on a different form. The only change that is made to Rotom is that he may learn a new attack upon changing; when Rotom then changes to another form, he losses that move, and is offered a different one.

Yes he does change because type because I have the game in my hands, thats why karman said its a unique pokemon ^_^ and I think we both understand why because electricity cannot learn Leaf Storm, thats why they made diferent types of Rotoms you should check it out one more time (Pokemon Platinum Version)
