Effort Value points and Individual Value points are what seperate the men from the boys in pkmn games. What they basically do is make it to where you can boost your pkmns stats a considerable amount and can make the difference in casual play and tournament play. If you dont already know what they are, then you should really take the time to check it out if you are looking to get more serious with gameplay. I WOULD tell you all about it, but it would be SO much easier if you checked it out yourself as there is alot of info on the topic
