Help to Play Puplic Beta

First of all hello to all Pokemon trainers.
I'd like to try it the game and I hear there is a beta, I downloaded the "pu_prebeta_webinstall2," I open this and it makes the CPU up to 89% then says "press any key to continue" I click and it closes. He downloaded the beta all? If you made it to where I can play?

One question: What Pokemon only works on Linux or also work in Windows Vista?  :-X
