Yeah. And I bet it will be. It's just that a guild would still take up a lot of a person's time on a game.
I used to play WoW (forgive me), so I know that being in a serious guild takes a lot of time for gameplay and stuff.
I know there are quests in the game, but still... the 'main' objective is to beat all of the gyms. And either way; questing and doing gyms takes a significant amount of time... maybe a guild would take up some of that time.
But of course, one could simply... not join a guild.
I'm an idiot.

Guilds/Clans have been confirmed, and even buildings they could use as a Base of Operations. They're in.
In other games, I tend to join a guild/clan, and as soon as I notice inactivity going on, I splidaddle and find a new one.

Im thinking about making a team simply named "The Elites". If that doesnt work im down for joining other teams, got to get this stuff sorted out before the game gets launched

Actually, there is something like that since DPPt came out called 'Groups'.

There is no Elite 4 in PU. Would taking care of a guild be taking so much time? I don't think so.

Ah yes. I had completely forgotten about groups.
Also, I know there isn't an Elite 4 in PU, but there will be tournoments. I for one would like to perfect my Pokemon for said tournaments.
A big guild requires a lot of commitment... especially if you're the leader... but then again, I'm only getting this from WoW; it'll probably be different (and better) in this game.
