IRC Help?

Hi there.
I've been having problems trying to connect to the IRC channel.
I connect with the name 'Domino', but after a few minutes it says: NickServ changed your name to Guest274782674 or whatever. Also, I can't seem to see anyone's messages.

I was just wondering how I could get my name to not change? Also, does nobody talk on the channel normally, or is there a problem on my behalf?


EDIT: Figured out how to register to NickServ (I'm such a noob), still... is it normal for the chat to be that quiet?

I asked the same question haha.
It's normal to see no one talking on the channel.

Most of us are idle. But when there's a conversation going on people will join in. Just don't do something like this:

*join channel*
You: Hello!
You: Anyone?!
You: HEEELLLOOOO AANNYYYONEEEE HERE!!!
*leave chan*

Just leave IRC open and check once in a while (this is what we do ;) because we're always busy with other stuff)
