I play CS: Source. From the reviews I've read for 1.6, there is terrible anti-cheat software, and the graffics using the Source engine are much better.

Since when did better graphics make a better game?
And there are many reasons why 1.6 is better, but to sum it up.... All the big tourneys are in 1.6.
All the pros still play 1.6
All the money is in 1.6
And there is a reason for it.

Mr Pokemon:
I wasn't saying 1.6 was bad, I haven't even played it. While better graphics do not make the game itself better, it is nice to have a little bit more realistic look.
