Good question! My answer would be, trusting is a very important thing in life! Trusting makes everyone happy, and friendly. It's better to trust someone than to miss out on the chance of something if you don't trust the person! In this world, we need to have faith in people! Also, if someone breaks the trust and does something wrong, then we know to NEVER trust them again, or punish them! Or in some cases forgive them. (Remember this is coming from a 12 year old in his own words) It's better to have trust, than to never have trusted at all.

PowerPoke:
For example:

I am the leader of a army! I send my troops to North of the enemy! My advisors say, No go to the East.

If they are correct:

I TRUST them and send my army to the East, We slaughter them to defeat! I am so glad that I TRUSTED them! We have won the world war! We now have peace!
     
If they are incorrect:

I TRUST them and send my army to the East, they slaughter us to defeat! We lost the war and they take over England.

Conclusion

Trusting people is important, in this world it is 50:50 choice. It's better to have tried and failed than to not tried and failed.
