Eh, there's more there than in other places. Fire types are just scarce in general.  :-\

Very true. Fire types are generally rare because fire doesn't occur too often in nature. If you notice, fire types are much more common in southern regions like Hoenn as opposed to northern regions like Sinnoh. 

Tickles:
Cinnabar has more poison types because of the mansion, and water types because it's an island.

No, fire types appear in some areas in every gen, but they don't appear often.

I think Hoenn has the most fire types. Fire is rare in the wild, so like, fire types are rare.
