In the midst of combat, many writers like to imagine that a warrior isn't thinking about anything but the fight. In Cedric's case, that was disgustingly wrong.
Hm... I wonder how hat's doing. maybe I should think of a name for him. I read somewhere, that once you name something, you get attached to it. I don't want to be attached to him. But what if I don't name him, and I'm stuck having to think of some roundabout verbose way of identifying my hat for the rest of the game? Isn't talking too much supposed to damage your lungs? Then again, my voice is already pretty scratchy, so I guess it doesn't matter.
