What is your favorite starter type?

I've went with the grass starter in every generation except for II and IV, where I chose Cyndaquil and Oshawott, respectively.

Jerry:
Except you don't get Oshawott in Gen IV :P

I take it you meant Gen V ;)

Arctus:
I choose fire type for every gen except V which i chose snivy.

Azure_Flame:
Definitely water/steel

Pokeshadower:
My two favorites would have to be fire/fight or water/ground. If a water/ground pokemon has: icebeam(or blizzard) surf( or muddywater) earthquake, and a speed up move, it would be (almost) undefeatable.
