Well, your Dugtrio will have some harsh time with Milotic and Altaria, CB... ::)

For HG/SS, I got one of my old GSC teams; Meganium, Noctowl, Haunter, Magmar, Ampharos, Lapras

They are made only for in-game.

As for PU, I really don't know which pokemon will be available first, or which pokemon will be rare, etc. While I would like to have a better than average team, I don't want to lose much time. After my better than average team, then I'll focus on building my main team.

As one who has mastered the use of many Pokemon, it is nigh impossible to choose a single Pokemon. But, as I said, it is only nigh impossible. I personally have to work with my original partner.

Pikachu (M) @ Light Ball
Ability: Static
Best three stats: SpAtk, Speed, HP
Nature: Hasty
Moves:
Volt Tackle
Iron Tail
Thunder
Surf (Special Move granted in an early game)

The Pikachu I mentioned is the combination of all my best Pikachu from all the hand held games.

Reason: Because Pikachu was the first partner I ever had and has always come though for me. Even when the odds was stacked against us, he always came out on top.

Well, I will just point out that Pikachu is more of a physical pokemon.

I would drop thunder for thunder punch/dig/brick break and surf for wish/fake out/attract

Marshtomp for me.

As with everything else, I can't tell what will be around when I play, but as a part of the community I will let on my current team. These are what I will use in the end:

My original partner: Pikachu
Moves: Volt Tackle, Iron Tail, Thunder, Surf (Special Move acquired in an old hand held game)

Darkrai
Moves: Hypnosis, Nightmare, Shadow Claw, Faint Attack

Giratina
Moves: Shadow Force, Fly, Dragon Pulse, Dark Pulse

Blaziken
Moves: Blaze Kick, Blast Burn, Bulk Up, Strength

Venasaur
Moves: Frenzy Plant, Giga Drain, Solar Beam, Sunny Day

Shiny Dugtrio
Moves: Dig, Earthquake, Sand Attack, Protect

Kuixta:
Charizard: flametrower, fire blast, earthquake, fly         
Tyranitar: stone edge, dark pulse, thunder fang, fire fang           
Ampharos: rain dance, thunder, power gem, discharge             
Alakazam: psychic, recover, shadow ball, focus blast       
Gyarados: hydro pump, waterfall, thrash,  dragon pulse           
Feraligatr: aqua tail, crunch, ice fang, hydro cannon                                                         

this is a list without legendaries :)
