I think people would domesticate pokemon, and those pokemon would protect some people from the dangerous ones.

The most likely option would be the government would capture and dissect and study the powerful ones to figure out how they can just randomly shoot fire beams from their mouths.

Yeah, I guess they would do that too. Then they would try to kill off all of the very dangerous ones.
