Hiteryan:
I NEED YOUR HELP!
Hello. As you know I am the music composer for this wonderful game. Last year, I have released about half a dozen pieces of music so far on my YouTube account.
I am planning to release more, if all you guys are willing to help me out!
I am participating on one of those crappy contests they put up here for everyone for all categories such as video, music, etc. I'm participating with a video of mine, and the final winner by the end of July is decided partially by the number of votes the video gets, and partially by a pro juri's decision.
So what do I want you to do?
If you have a Facebook account (AND ONLY IF YOU DO. Please DO NOT make a Facebook account with the sole purpose of voting for this video, unless you are planning to make that account your own and actively use it. Otherwise people might suspect there's some kind of cheating going on to get votes), go to this link:
http://www.conteconnosco.com/trabalho-detalhe.php?id=381
Then watch the video if you'd like (and then you can even compare with the other videos up for contest. Only about 3 videos are decent, the rest is utter crap, seriously, just my opinion but you go judge by yourselves).
To vote, you have to login with your facebook account, then click on the vote button. As such.
-
If the vote is successful, a message will pop up saying "Voto contabilizado com sucesso." If not, please reply to this topic with any questions.
This works on a daily vote basis so I ask you, if possible, vote EVERY DAY!
You can vote once a day. Please share with your friends. This isn't just a matter of winning. You see, I am a student of engineering. My most beloved thing though is movie making, as well as music composing. If I succeed at this, it will be major proof that I truly should follow this area, as well as it will allow me to gain more resources to continue my movie making quest as well as my musical endeavors, allowing me to make more awesome music too for your games and your general listening.
I am aiming to reach a medium, very hopefully, of 50 votes a day at least, counting with some other people I myself manage to get voting too.
In exchange for this, I will be posting, on my YouTube, one piece of music from Pokémon Universe EACH WEEK. Starting next Saturday. GO NOW!
zylonnick:
for pieces of Hitaryan, I'll vote every day. I'm in.
genbor:
After reading your post, I got curious so I went to check it out. Here are the three that I liked:
1.) Absorbing Reality - César Ramos
- Beginning of the day and ending - nice "framework" story
- The corridor, the empty stadium (with applause), the moving swings next to the still one, standing on the seashore, and finally the setting sun - all very artistic
- But to me the best was the ending - To me it seemed as if a person was reflecting on his life so far, that had it's on share of success (stadium applause), joy (the feeling at the seashore) and sorrow (the swing remained still while the others kept moving). The arriving train would suggest that a part of life is gone, and we are back to the present. Also suspect the person was blind.
- Also, I liked the detail of the video and the representing picture is also very appealing.
= Well since it's art it can be interpreted differently than what the author intended or what others would interpret it as.
I won't go into too much detail on the others but here:
2.) Video das férias da neve - António Lencastre
- More dynamic
- Nice Camera work
= Why I chose yours over this: No story in this one.
3.) Tokyo EYE - Miguel Fernandes
- It looks into life in Tokyo
= Although very detailed, not much real skill is involved in making it. Videos like these can be taken from Street Webcams, and other videos on the net, and just mix it all together, and add a music. It still was in my top 3 though.
- To be honest I found these to be the top 3. There were a couple which looked like some sort of soap operas (might be due to me not understanding the language), but yes, yours was the best. I will vote for it everyday. Really good job on making it.
Cheers, Genbor
Hiteryan:
Thank you Ponge, and thank you genbor for your insight, that is exactly the kind of feedback I like to receive, whether good or bad! I never actually thought much about your personal perspective on my video, because as I've always said, there was a particular meaning for it when I made it, but it is always open to one's own interpretation, because I figured many people would relate themselves to the video in their own way.
Thank you. Much appreciated :)
DarK_SouL:
Sure thing Hiteryan, I'll vote everyday!
Good luck winning!
