But really, you can get a lot of tutorials for pixel art on the internet and some are very good ones too. Whereas vector is, I think, more dependent on you and your style. You can have a look at the screenshots in PU. Cyndaquil in the battle screen is an example of vector art. It's then only a matter of practice :)
