I woke up drowsy, it was getting a little late... why was I up? I slipped on my shoes and went outside, the atmosphere seemed a bit stressed, there must have been a ruckus nearby. I shrug it off, not my problem. I walk twards the gym, I should beat the leader before its dark. I entered and saw the gym was covered in rocky terrain. I saw someone standing in the center of the room.
Ah, a challenger, I'm Brock the leader of this g-
Yeah yeah, I have a question before we start.
Uhhh... sure? Shoot.
How long have you been standing there? It's almost six o' clock. I mean it's just at almost all the gyms I'v been too the gym leaders seem to stand in one spot all day waiting for a challenger.

I bring out my Shelgon and he brings out Kabutops. Kabutops uses aquajet, but I smile and Shelgon uses protect, then Kabutops runs over it full force. Shelgon then uses draco meteor directly agenst Kabutops, creating a big explosion.
Hey! That was a cheap shot!
What's wrong with a combo? Cant Kabutops take it?
When the smoke clears, Shelgon is the only one standing and Kabutops fainted. But Shelgon also has taken some aftermath from that explosion. Brock returns kabutops and sends out Onix. Onix combines sandstorm with rock slide to create a devastating barrage of rocks. Shelgon tries using protect, but fails and takes great damage. Shelgon recovers and uses dragonbreath, but Onix counters with iron tail and hits the dragonbreathe and Shelgon, causing considerable damage. Then Shelgon uses Draco meteor full power, but Onix uses iron tail to bat some of the meteors back at Shelgon, but gets hit as well causing great damage to both of them. Shelgon faints and I return him and send out Gabite. Onix is in pretty poor shape though. One more attack and he's a gonner.
Tickles:
We reached the ship at last. I was flying pretty slow from exhaustion.
Sorry about that Manaphy. I don't think I need to remind you that I'm pretty old.
We went inside and I placed Manaphy by the pond.
Now, get some rest, tomorrow, I'll need you to stay in the pond while Staraptor is here. She tends to have this nasty habit around small pokemon.
I went to the storage area and put the berry bag there. Enough food stocked for the next week or so.
Goodnight. I promise that after Staraptor leaves, we'll go and explore again.

The two soon reached Cinnibar. Pikachu wasn't with them because Sarah wanted to be alone. They landed on what was left of Cinnibar.
(This takes place after the eruption)
Sarah got off of Latias.

She walked over to the highest point on the island. It was a small, flat area on the North-Eastern most part of the island. She sat down, facing East, looking out at the open seas. She sighed, as this island reminded her of her old home.

Latias flew up following her and hovered next to sarah, worried about her as she nuzzled sarah's shoulder gently
