I almost pissed myself, but I was actually happy to see this guy. Without a word, I obeyed him, and headed back to the place I started. I didn't know how fast I was going, but it felt as though it was taking forever. At least I'm away from whatever the hell that was.

What the hell man, how is it your torch was able to do something, but my Houndoom's flamethrower did nothing? And what's with the attitude, why didn't you tell me in the first place? Glad to meet her?! She said she ate her god damn parents, and they came out of the ground!
I relaxed a bit, I was angry scared, and knew it wasn't his fault.

I reached in my bag for a can opener to open the beans, maybe food would calm my nerves.

Why do you think this place is safe? See that fire? Its mine…its good, the only good thing left…real fire is hard to make in this place, everything is damp with the mist…pokemon fire does nothing against the mist, only real fire, real fire is the key, without real fire you can be attacked..you can be tricked…without real fire you are as good as dead….that is why I stay here, I stay here to keep the fire burning, keep me alive till I can escape…

Calm down. I understand now. I may be young, but I learn my lesson once.
Somehow, this person reminded me of my dad, always wise, but I never listened to him until I got in trouble.
