Pokemon: Best Wishes... (Opinions)
loudskies:
What is Your opinion about Black and Whites series? I hate it. Brock is gone. No Original Characters are left. Diamond and Pearl > Sinnoh League Victors 4ever :( For the most part I like it, except for the fact that everybody was replaced, with lame excuses too!
*Brock Becomes this never before heard of, 'Pokemon Doctor'
*Dawns Buneary becomes a fashion model?! WTF?
*How they killed off my hope of Dawn and Brock being carried over into Black and white by saying,
Dawn: 'Hey, maybe I will come back to kanto with you and brock!'
Dawn: 'oh wait Never mind, because my Rabbit is becoming a Fashion Designer!'
Brock: 'Last two episodes of the Season, changing my motives, ima become Doctor instead of WHY I WENT WITH ASH IN THE FIRST PLACE, I will not become a breeder, see you 11 Years of Plot.
Ash: KGUIS IMA GO TO UNOVA NOW K GOOD BYEEE.
*I think the way they Transitioned into this season was Stupid.
Your opinions?

Well, I agree it are lame excuses, but I don't really care about the fact they left. I hated Brock from the start, and Dawn I liked better than May, but she ain't no Misty :'( The new people accompanied by Ash aren't that great either though. Dent is just annoying and I can live with Iris, but that's it. The series as a whole are a bit worse than the last one, but not too much. I mostly watch them out of nostalgia, because I don't like Ash's childish battle strategies and behavior.

Pokemon has dropped in quality after the first season in kanto.
Let's face it, to escape character development Misty was dropped for other girls. Ash always remained the same (No character development here). And Brock is the only one that developed but, they turned him into some uber pathetic doctor...
Then there is black/white. The only thing I liked is the seriousness of Team Rocket. That was great, until the writers said chansey it. The new girl is prolly the most annoying one yet, and the dude with green hair is just as obnoxious. I mean come on, Pokemon Connoisseur?

whatever happens misty was the greatest person to ever acompany ash and she needs to come back to him and they need to fall in love lol anyway the guy charcter who travles with ash now is a pretty good battler and is better than tracie and brock

Finally...a thread like this was made so I can rant about the anime!! :D
I really do not like Best Wishes at all. I don't like how they played out the DP series for so long--even taking a year for Ash to get from his 7th to 8th gym. They made the Sinnoh Leuage tournament so exciting with Ash vs Paul (Paul should have won in my opinion because he actually doesn't battle like a freaking idiot) only to drop it all in one episode by giving Ash's next opponent a Darkrai AND and Latios. Now, I can kinda understand giving a new character a good reason to be incredibly strong by giving him a Darkrai, but the Latios was just pure laziness one the writers' part. There was no closure or even a logical explination as to why Brock (who barely has any qaulifications to become a doctor) would give up his dream of being a pokemon breeder after about 13 years and leave Ash. The only reason I was okay with Dawn leaving and going to travel in Hoenn was that it foreshadowed a possible remake of Ruby and Saphire. The DP series was horribly ended.
Now, on to the Best Wishes. I like how they are switching up the roles with Iris and Cilan. Iris isn't the typical coordinator girl (thank Arceus that they didn't make her do pokemon musicals) and Cilan isn't the typical supporting male despite doing almost exactly what Brock did for 13 years. I also like how Team Rocket have become serious instead of the horrible excure for comic relief that they have been doing for so long.
Now what I do not like is that Ash has obviously not grown as a character at all. Even though he went through every Japan-centric pokemon region with his Pikachu, it was easily beaten by a brand new trainer and his very inexperienced Snivy just because he couldn't use electric attacks. Ash has consistently shown how poor a trainer he is while in Unova such as picking attacks seemingly at random and lossing to Trip twice.
What really made me mad was watching the Don Battle Tournament arc. In the arc, Ash used his Snivy against a Paniward, disregarding that Snivy was at a type disadvantage. Ash's attract strategy failed because the Paniward was also a female. Ash failed to check this beforehand. The only reason Ash was able to win this battle was because the writers felt that he needed to win...like every other battle that he shouldn't be winning. Ash then goes on to fight Iris and her Excadrill. Despite Excadrill being sent out first, Ash decides to use Pikachu. As one would expect Excadrill won the battle. This arc showed that Ash has not learned from his journey at all and has not gotten any better as a trainer.
