He walks twards a ledge next to the ocean.
There were Originaly three relics, the necklace of wisdom, the brace of power, and the belt of courage. They are actualy heys to unlocking the ultimate treasure. One that can create miracles. The flute of salvation. It can remove any curse, but there is another thign there besides the treasure...
He turns to us.
He is there, the one responsible for disrupting the balance... and the leader of Team Oblivion.

I looked up at him "I....I'll help you Darkrai..."
"What? your a human, I HATE humans, you know this better than anyone"
"I...I don't think I can be called a human anymore darkrai, this is an illusion just like my other ones....but staying with you so long, I learned how your powers work....I know you better than I know myself...I know your moves...I know your heart...."
I lifted my soft hand and gripped it, focusing like I did when we were fused....I strained vary hard....it was difficult, but I felt it.... my aura....it was nowhere near as impressive as our fused state... but darkness wafted into my hand....curling into a ball
"you and I are to parts of the same coin right now...If I train with you...our fusion will be that much greater when the time comes....perhaps enough to take down this foe..."
I put my hand on him "I know you, your tired, but just take this trial a little longer, and you will be free
Darkrai stared into me, then turned away, he knew I spoke truth "fine....fine Ven, you have your wish..."

Everything was happening at once. Relics? Fusion? And something about omnipitent beings? This was all a lot. I finally decided it was time to try this fusion. I put my hand to my heart, and tried to think of everything I knew about my friend. I waited for the energy to appear...but it didn't. I tried again, and it didn't work.
-Um...I can't seem to create the energy.

Oh, forgot to mention that. Sometimes it takes more than one try to get the fusion down. If you're too nervous, it won't work. You need to be able to be brave enough to accept the price of the fusion if it goes wrong.
I had hoped this could explain a bit.

I emptied my mind of all thoughts, all feelings, everything. I just focused on my bond with my friend. We had been friends forever, and we understood each other pretty well. I waited for the energy to come. It did, briefly, but as soon as it was there, it was gone. But then I thought of something.
-Bisharp, are you nervous?
He was looking down. After a couple seconds, he finally nodded.
-...It's okay. I understand. I'd understand why you'd be nervous. But If we try hard enough, we can get it right.
He still looked worried.
-...Alright, what is it specifically?
He pointed at the Houndoom perma-fused guy.
-...I see. I admit I'm afraid of it too, but I think that if we try as hard as we can, we won't end up like him. No offence.
