He isn't the water Elite. I think Ponge just messed up. No one is given the Elite title without battling for it.

I thought he battled for it, but it may be possible he didn't. If so, it's my bad.

I forget if I ever battle for it, or if it was a case that it was assigned to me because I was the first. Which of course wouldn't count for much, so a challenge is in order.
