Again, no they weren't. I think you must be misreading. Please take note of the EVs on mega scizor. Its a build by someone from smogon servers. He built it just right for surviving fire attacks from non-stab and non-boosted pokes. It is designed with flamethrower in mind since most people go for accuracy over power. Though it is still able to let scizor take a fire blast from a few pokes, clefable included among the few.

The calcs done were done using a mega scizor set from smogon and a standard clefable build (which is the set you said you were using a few pages back)

--- Quote from: Roloc on November 05, 2013, 08:38:26 PM ---Here are the results of the damage calc:

Bulky scizor
EVS:
108 Atk
252 HP
150 SpDef

Clefable:
EVs:
252 Def
128 HP
128 SpAtk

128 SpA Clefable Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 150 SpD Scizor: 300-356 (87.2 - 103.48%) -- 25% chance to OHKO

108+ Atk Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 128 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 193-228 (53.16 - 62.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

This is using 40 base power bullet punch and 110 base power fire blast.

Bulky Mega Scizor wins 75% of the time.

108 atk EVs and adamant nature lets scizor still 2HKO 128 HP / 252+Def Clefable every time. While the clefable only OHKO mega scizor 25% of the time with fire blast, not calculating in the huge miss chance for fire blast.

Now the HP and SpD EVs on mega scizor could be switched around to let it take the fire blast even better, but, scizor needs the 252 HP EVs for taking physical hits as well. Making mega scizor super easy to get off a SD and then slaughter with bullet punch. I have swept with this set soooo many times.  It's a very nice build that guy came up with.

I have had 0 problems keeping Mega scizor alive and I don't run defog. Don't see the need to. I do however run sticky web, and it is such an awesome entry hazard. Nothing better then making scarf pokes useless. :D

And yeah, I have played with the new scolipede. It's awesome. It actually might be better then the one we have here on PU. xD

This calc is off by the way. This is the actual calc for that.

252+ Atk Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 124 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 213-252 (58.83 - 69.61%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I think you may be forgetting to change the base attack to 150 for mega scizor.

NinjaskEDIT:
Still waiting for the new update to PO. I think they must be doing a thorough job at removing bugs/errors from this next update. Which is good news.

Expect an update when PO releases the new build. :)

GrizzlyEatsKids:
Ok, I have a new contest update of sorts. While I will wait to reveal new pokemon on the weekends, I can tell you all that there are at least two Fairy type pokemon on the list. Have fun speculating with that and whatnot.

Roloc:
I know one at least. :D

Also it's the weekend. Time for that pokemon update! I are ready!

GrizzlyEatsKids:
Welp, here's a new one for the contest:

Christmas Tree and Decorations: Abomasnow OR Torterra AND Sylveon OR Starmie, You must either choose Abomasnow or Torterra to represent your tree, and either Sylveon or Starmie to represent the decorations on star.

Also, Roloc, Gameboy Advanced has decided to join over PO. DO you mind adding him as a participant?

Roloc:
Awesome, my team is coming together nicely. Starmie was a great addition.

EDIT:
Can't wait to start building my team, I think this event will require a good bit of skill.
