Tylan and Daylin

Tylan looked at the girl like she was crazy.

I don't think they will follow us, but if it suits you Daylin will close it.

Daylin sighed, reminding Tylan he was still young when he said

Do I have to?

Tylan nodded, his answer leaving no room for arguement.

You are the only one strong enough to jump to the ledge and pull yourself out so you can cover the entrance.

Daylin cast his head to the ground before jumping to a height not possible by most, grabbing the ledge, and pulling himself out. He stood up and dusted off his jeans then said to the pople still running

Hurry up, we gotta go.

I jumped down the hole.

I landed on my feet at the bottom. and got out of the way in case if someone else was about to jump.

Now we just have to see if Ayara and Artemis will make it...

Ayara twisted bak around to face forward as she heard the people in front stop running. The twins reached the hole just as Daylin pulled himself up.
"Hurry up, we gotta go."
Ayara slid to a stop, and with no visible sign or communication, waited while Artemis caught up and quickly dropped into he hole. She glanced back as footsteps and yells began to echo down he hall towards them.
Try running through THIS, idiots.
She whipped her hand around, and line of fire spread across the hallway behind her. She stumbled a little but quickly moved forward and jumped down the hole. Her knee buckled slightly as she landed. Artemis moved forward and took her hand, bringing her over and out of the way of the hole.
You did something stupid again, didn't you. You really shouldn't overdo things so much.
Ayara glanced at Artemis.
For your information, I bought us some time. It'll take a while for the fire to die down enough for them to pass through. By the time they can get here, we'll have covered the hole and be gone.

Tylan and Daylin

Daylin watched as the fire was spread and then a Demi-titan began to shoot water from his hands, extinguishing it. As the flames died Daylin grabbed the tile and slid down in the hole, the tile almost crushing his hands as he slid down. Daylin stood beside Daylin and listened as he said

I think we are good, but-

He was cut off as a roar split through the air, so loud it shook the walls of the maze and caused Daylin to trip as he lost his balance! Tylan was visibly unphased, but his heart felt like it was trying to rip open his chest! Daylin looked at the others as he stood up and said

This may take longer then expected.

The Demi-titans ran completely past Spectrome, thinking he was on there  side since he was a demi-monster.

"It won't hold forever if they know where the passage is."
"And we might as well get this over with what ever awaits us in here.."
