[RP] The Outcasts |Time: Early Morning|Weather: Clear
WhistfulSoul:
Soul
Luke shows up and quickly but politely tells Soul to "put his light out", and Adam shows up behind him shortly. Luke suggests that everyone get into the warehouse, and Adam immediately stumbles in, tripping over a rotting crate, and falls asleep. Mike mentions something about someone watching for soldiers, to which Soul perks up at.
I'm not so exhausted as to needing to rest. I can sit in the doorway and watch for anyone while were talking, and maybe when Celine wakes up and is rested we can switch. Soul began to yawn, but then held it in, realizing that sleep can wait. The safety of everyone is priority.
NexosYourGayBestFriend96:
Nexalas and Sone
Sone walked into the warehouse without a word, a bit lost in thought as he sat down on the floor to meditate.
My blade has been taken and we managed to escape, but something does not add up. Why use my blade to kill a squad leader? The only thing that does is make them look stuck up and ignorant, like someone who has been feared by the entire world just did something childish. What is their real plan?
Nexalas nodded as everyone else soon arrived.
Well now that we're all here I can start making a plan. Those of us that are tired should rest inside; however, we need to decide on who will take watch if we decide to sleep here tonight.
GrizzlyEatsKids:
Luke, Leon, and Celine
As he stepped into the warehouse, Luke turned to Nexalas.
Well, there are two entrances, and they both need to be watched. Soul has already volunteered to watch this one, and I'll get the other. Once the sun rises, we'll switch out.
Leon heard this, and so rose his hand slightly.
I'll do it.
You sure? You've exerted yourself possibly more than anyone else. You need the sleep.
Leon shook his head.
Don't worry about it. I'm used to doing extreme work on little rest. with the reputation I have, the Renegade always sends me on the most demanding missions.
Well alright, go inside and get some rest.
Leon headed inside, and Luke turned to Nexalas and Soul.
Now we'll need someone to watch the second door for the second shift, and two people to watch the door for a third shift. So, talk among yourselves and the others, and decide on someone to take those shifts. Also, spread the word that we will leave at noon. I've got some planning to do.
Luke then proceeded to head inside and through the warehouse, all the way to the other doorway where he was supposed to keep watch.
As Leon went back to his spot on the far wall, he saw Celine, sitting up, her eyes wide open.
When did you wake up?
As soon as you had gotten up, but it's no big deal.
Leon set his hammer down by his gun, sitting next to Celine again.
You sure?
Of course.
Things were quiet for a moment, before Celine spoke again.
I see people like you, Luke, and Soul. You guys can seem to kill those soldiers, and other enemies as well, without much of a regret. The guy in that helicopter back there...
She trailed off for a moment, her voice getting a bit thick with sorrow. A moment later she continued.
Leon, do you... do you remember your first kill? Does it ever get easier?
Leon though for a small bit before answering, trying to find the perfect words.
Yes, I do. I do remember my first kill. I unfortunately remember many of my kills. And it never gets easier, but you eventually you realize that it's either you or them, and on a larger scale, you either kill a few soldiers, or you abandon the hope of freedom.
NexosYourGayBestFriend96:
Nexalas
He nodded and followed Leon inside, thinking a bit and looking at Sone. Sone was a powerful and respected captain, and was once powerful enough to take down twelve soldiers with little effort. However, he was old and tired, and honestly has lost his touch over the past three years. Not to mention the fact that even though it isn't obvious, Nexalas knew he was exhausted. He turned to Luke.
I think it would be best that I take the next watch. After my watch, I think our only option is to escape into the desert away from here. I do not know what we will do, but no matter what we cant return to the Renegade. Even if they did somehow accept us despite our magic, Sanctum will no doubt use us to lead them right to the Renegades base...
He then crossed his arms and tilted his head down, in deep thought.
We DO have one place to try and go but... it might be too risky.
GrizzlyEatsKids:
Luke
Luke looked up from the map outstretched before him, deep in thought.
Hm? Oh, Nexalas. Well, unfortunately, I was looking at the desert as well, but we'll have to make our way through the outer edge of the UCE, which is extremely dangerous. I don't see any other plausible option though, so it looks like that's the route we'll have to take. I've been mulling things over, and I fear that if Sanctum manages to follow us into the desert, then they'll chase us north, into dangerous, uncharted territory. If that happens, we'll just have to lead them north with us, for they are no more prepared to handle that threat than we are. At the very least, if the Renegade is watching, which I'd imagine so, what with all of their spies, it'll at least create a small opening. As to how useful that will be, I can't be certain. On the other hand, Sanctum may not chase us through the desert, figuring we'll die there anyway, which may certainly be true. Should this happen, we have yet another difficult path ahead of us. In this case, we would have to wait until things die down, possibly even fake our own deaths, which shouldn't be to hard, what with Celine's illusion-like magic. Then, our best option is to sneak back into the UCE, and form some sort of counter strike, maybe even start a rebellion. I can't see us being able to take on the Overrulers out on our own, so our best chances lies in the rebellion and destroying Sanctum from the inside.
He paused for a bit.
