Our only gaming shops sell Xbox, PS games and old Bintendo and PC games.

Oh ._. that sucks D:

Why do I always come in to the conversation late....

I'll be getting alpha sapphire. It was my first Pokémon game, but I like groudon more than kyogre. I liked the original story, but it could do well as a sequel. I REALLY hope they keep the ability to catch rayquaza in both games (since they've already announced that they WOULD NOT be remaking emerald version). I also want the old battle tower format back from gen IV (gen III was the training wheels) and also the return of secret bases, gen IV style but with online gameplay instead of just wireless/IR so you can actually move all the rocks.

A return of the old music would be nice like they did in Heartgold and Soulsilver (you would obtain an item and toggle between old music and new music).

Where did they announce that they would for sure not remake Emerald? This is the first I've heard of that, anywhere, and there's nothing online about any announcement of the sort.

There certainly is possibility for it. I did some reading across some sites, and one forum-goer stated that while the remakes of Gen I and Gen II incorporated the additions that the third games had, (for example, anything that Blue or Crystal had was added to FRLG and HGSS respectively), and in these two Gen's, you could catch all of the legendaries in either game, (specifically Lugia and Ho-Oh, catching the namesake of the game first and the remaining one later in the game).

However, with Ruby/Sapphire, you could only catch the namesake of the game, and Rayquaza later, at Sky Tower. Sure, if GameFreak wanted to, they could copy Gen II and place the remaining legendary wherever they're normally found for more postgame content, but there is still the possibility of Emerald being remade to re-enable the ability to catch all three of the weather trio.

Anyways, I'm definitely going for AS. Sapphire was my first Pokemon game, and I would love to play through again with renewed enjoyment, (not that I don't enjoy playing Pokemon anymore, it's just that the first time is always so much more special). Can't wait to get the old team back together.

._. make up your mind..

@ soul: It has been confirmed that they have claimed Delta Emerald. However, back in fire red and leaf green they also claimed water blue, they mostly claim three titles to make sure no other companies can take the name to make a game pretending to be pokémon.

Doesn't mean it can't happen! D:
