My goals?

Create lasting friends (and Rivals) throughout my career,

Catch a fair amount of Pokemon to create a variety of parties with,

explore any and every possible area of this new, Unexplored map,

defeat a member of the PU team, 

Become known in PU as a renown Poke explorer,

defeat the elite four,

and catch an Arcanine.

That may not be so hard... I think bugs would have a faster speed than Arcanine... All they need are some Ground or Water type attacks and they are all set... :3
Or just a really good strategy...

And all Arcanine needs is a good Fire attack to wipe them all out. Then I'd put in my Togekiss. The point is, a single-type specialized team isn't hard to beat.

you sir, are my new best friend. it's true, a bug type team has some pretty good strategies, but a variety team will always come out on top. assuming of course you know what your doing. And having Arcanine as an opener in a battle? well, you just know your in for quite a ride.

Alot of people think that, but i have plenty of things to counter fire types. iv gone pretty far in shoddy battle turnys with a pure bug team and own some pure fire teams. it all depends on the player not the types.

Kool, i consider myself to be a pretty good player to take out teams made purely to beat me bug team so yeah. theres more to pokemon then just types. figure out your weaknesses and make agustments to it so your able to counter. yes my fortress and scizor can both be 1-shotted by like...ember but i still have my usses for them. ninjask baton pass to my yanmega can turn the tides on any battle.

Togekiss with Serene Grace (ability). Doubles the chance of an effect taking place when an attack is used. Paired with Air slash (30% flinch chance) and paralyisis, it is a good combo. Plus, give Togekiss Roost and Aura Sphere, it is uber.

I agree, it is indeed nice. My combo is Double team ninjask to max, baton pass it  along with ninjask's speedboost and a sub if possible to Yanmega who has massive S Atk choice specs and tinted lens. He will be 1-2 shotting most poke's and hardly getting hit.
