Heh, I'm probably one of those campers. I do actually run around the area I camp, though, so that has to count for something...

Still, in agreement with quite a few others in this thread, I am appalled at Modern Warfare 2 in all honesty. Activision is trying extremely hard to turn all of their games into flops. Modern Warfare 2 had such promise, until they decided they wanted to rush it almost a year ahead of production schedule. So, it comes out, and what do we get? Match making. No dedicated servers. Horrible balance issues. Uninspired maps. (Yes, most of them are rehashes of older maps or they are horribly designed.) Terrible game mechanics. Bad AI. And to top it all off, some of the lamest guns and perks I've seen.

I loved the original CoD; CoD2 was one of the hardest games I've played when it came out; and CoD: MW was one of the funnest shooters I've picked up in a long time. Great online play, combined with a great storyline and amazingly balanced classes / guns /etc., led to a great experience.

Now this deal with the royalties Activision owes someone and it's not hard to see why MW2 floundered. They just want the money now. They really don't care about their games anymore. At least Infinity Ward could have made the game great had they had time. This is why I hate Publishers.
