Except... the anime sucks, and as I remember, Charizard barely appeared after the first season ended.

This is what I mean! In the anime, he kills every thing that gets in his path! the only one that is worse is... his pikachu! it never loses against type disadvantages. sometimes it can only take one hit, other time it is unbeatable!

Except that in the recent episodes, Pikachu lost against the Hiyakku of the first Gym leader, a water type monkey...
