In pokemon ruby, after trading a ditto over from fire red, I mated it with my Blaziken, and when the egg hatched, it was a shiny torchic. I had my friend trade me his chansey for it. ;D

You can get happinys, in DPPt if I recall well, easily (and get them in an egg in DP).

Yes I know Silver, I just added the Kyogre/Groudon part to say where they had a condition to fill first to get another pokemon. But that's not important.

he had a good chansey, he had spent three months to get the perfect one through a series of breeding with random pokemon to get the best one possible. The final result was a chansey he dubbed linda, but he would trade anything for a shiny.

Wanna know the unluckiest thing to happen to me? I was playing pokemon sapphire and i started a new file and the Pokemon that was chasing the proff was shiny and i couldnt catch it  :'( it was really hard to kill it.
