There needs to BE a Clan for you to join one. When a clan is made, ask then. Try to be in a clan with ppl you trust.

How many people can join a Clan? I mean... You wouldn't want it to be too crowded or anything
Plus, the clan leader or someone with a high rank should be able to accept/reject people from the clan.If the real leader isn't on as much as they should be, then that means there should be someone second in command... xD!
Going on clan sizes and such, i think it should be the leader to decide how many people can join in, and about 3 people in the clan can get powers like accept/deny new members, but on a vote basis. The leader has over say about the new members though.
Oh, with all sorts of people coming into PU once the game is out, I won't be surprised to see many 'Zubats'. I actually like the idea that the members have equal power, but the ultimate decision will always come from the leader. I'm saying this because you can also have a handful of Zubats suddenly appearing. I won't go into details to incite any idea into people though. I don't want it to happen in the guild I'll make =S

Moderaters are meant to be chosen by who is the most trustworthy as an athaurotive figure, not who won a contest. The top three might get the honor of leading the next guild war -assuming those would be implemented- and first place might get some money, if the guild leader feels stingy, or a rare pokemon, if he's feeling particularly generous.
If you think the leader is unfair, then don't join his guild/clan.

That probably would be the smartest thing to do. You can make another group about the same thing because chances are, other members would leave too because of all the unfairness...

What if you don't want anyone to look at it?But the more people see the banner, the more poeple will know about the guild, and the more popular it will get, and the more people will want to join. And the more people will want to join, the bigger the storm of cash soaring into the guild's various funds.

Clans would be awesome in the game, I hope they add it in"They". being the PU team, ARE going to include clans. Hence why we've been talking for several pages about clans/guilds.

So I was playing another MMO yesterday, and I noticed that people seem to make guilds just so they can be the leader and get a sh*tstorm if cash and "epic loots" flowing into their inventories, and because of this, guilds seem to spring up and die out overnight.
Please, people, please, do not make a guild unless you are a fair leader, and will be active enough to keep it alive. That means don't make a world of warcraft style guild (unfair) or a Metal Gear Online run clan (inactive).
Fairly easy fix....That's actually a pretty good idea. Though, with this, there can be people that just create clans and have just them or just two people in the clan, and so many people do that that very few real clans can get made.
Have a fixed cap to the number of clans that can be active at one time (I say 100 or so)
Establish strict requirements to being able to found a clan. (based on player lvl, tenure in the game, or whatever)
If a clan leader is inactive for over a month, delete the clan.
And if a clan plans to be unfair, any member would have the option to leave...Well I know that. I actually mentioned it before. I just don't think that obnoxious people like that deserve to have athourity. And yes, there are people that will not leave just 'cause they think it's unfair.
Well technically there are no rights to guild names, and the only thing you could do if someone used it without your permission is be pissed off.actually, if one wanted to be a jerk one could go and trademark/copyright the name but no one would do that unless they were really mean ;)
