My favorite region would probly be the johto.
i liked all the areas and places thats were there.
and it had some interesting pokemon legends.
plus some of my favorite pokemon are there.

I think mine is Sinnoh and Hoenn. There are a lot of features not found in other regions.
Sinnoh: Snowpoint city with snow; distortion world
Hoenn: Underwater caves; introduction of battle frontier and pokemon contests

i like those regions too. but sometimes i think nintendo is running out of ideas for pokemon. some new ones seem to weird for me. but thats just me talking.

Kanto most defiantly. Hoenn was pretty cool with the fiery path, Fortree City, and Mossdeep was pretty cool but I'm defiantly going to have to stick with Kanto.

This is an easy decision for me. It would be kanto because i'm so familiar with it. I played 100+ total hours on my yellow. I enjoyed johto but i hated the fact that you had to hunt down the legendary dogs.

I like Johto, because the first game i played was gold, and i liked the national park, and how you could get scored, based on the pokemon you caught.

Johto was the most interesting one for me, they introduced night and day, eggs, hunting for the legendary pokemon, and even pokemon haircuts!
Although I'm more familiar with Hoenn, so.
I guess I'm stuck between Johto, and Hoenn. But I love Kantos 151 xD

I love the Johto region! It has some of my favorite pokemon in there!!

I would def say Kanto. Red, Blue, Yellow, LeafGreen, and FireRed were my favs. Gold and Silver wasn't that bad either, but still.

The Kanto region is definitely my favorite. It's such a classic. Saffron City and Cinnabar Island where just so much fun. Next on my list would have to be Johto. However, both my choices stem from my great love for red/blue and silver/gold.

I prefer the Hoenn region over all others. Johto region, to me, has a few well thought out pokemon but the majority is ehhh... I'll pass.

I prefer the Kanto region. It's the one I played the most. I also used to like the anime. Most of what I watched of it took place in the Kanto region.

I would say kanto is my favorite, im most familiar with it and its original. Johto is my second favorite but Kanto is definetely my top.

My favorite region is Miryus because I don't know what to expect.
I'd have to say Kanto cause the original series was my fav. I'm hoping Miryus steals the shows aswell :P

While Kanto was the first one to spark my addiction, and i know it better than the back of my hand I'd have to say Johto would have to be my favorite, just because that's when they started adding on to the basics of pokemon, and i still remember the excitement of when i got my Silver home popped some fresh batteries in my GBC and played for hours not knowing what to expect. Hoenn was pretty cool cause it was where planting berries first came into play. Johto wins my heart for sure though..

The orange islands were a pretty good region . Lance, at the end, was pretty cool and the very first team battle appeared in this arc. ;D Brock found his woman (for about a week), Tracy was cool at whatever the heck he did, and the series was taking a turn in a different direction after Misty acknowledged her affection for Ash (too bad nothing positive really came from that admission, except hentai and fan fic)
I also remember waking up one saturday expecting the same 'ol theme song only to be startled by "So you wanna be a master?, Pokemon! Do you have the skills to be, NUMBER 1!" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bexKjYiSnpE)

I personally enjoy all the regions equally they all have their pros, and cons. ^ ^ so yeah all fun to me

Mine is jhoto, for one i have played silver for 100+ hours. 2nd there was so much to do everyday, more then any other region, more so now with HGSS ;D

JOHTO FTW!!!!1 Lozl, Johto has always been my favorite because no matter how many times I play through the game I can always find something new, or never get tired of it.

it seems that the most likes kanto more than the other region and im going join them too..maybe Miryus will be one of the favorit ;-)

in all honesty i think orange islands may be a little bit higher on my likes list than the other regions in general, just because, well, its awesome it changed a lot of what pokemon was like then of course they went back to normal gym battling and such

I'd have to say Johto. I'm horribly biased as G/S/C was my favourite gen, but I just loved it.

Why?
Well,i felt in ,any regions,all you did whas become the champion,then all ended.Poof,really no reason to keep playing.
Hoen changed it for the first time,Battle Frontier helped give the sense that the pokémon world wasn't just a bunch of regions.And the story in Hoen whas awesome,altough Archie and Maxie sucked as boss battles -.-
Sinnoh whas the breaker of the fanhood.Noone whas ready for wath the 4th gen added.So it whas like a fresh new feeling.Like re-learning pokémon from the start.And not to mention alot of interesting pokémon.And yet again,that sense of not being stuck at endgame with the return of Battle Frontier.And also touching storyline.
There whas no boss like Cyrus whas,all villians should be like him.Emotionless,and Goal Striving.

As you can predict :P I like Sinnoh the best.
PS:Unova sucked,fail pokémon,fail region,fail storyline.Altough the hero and the dragon part whas cool :P

How the hell haven't I replied to this topic.
I suppose this goes strictly for the region itself, so I'd have to pick between Johto and Hoenn. Hoenn was great, since the improved graphics over the previous games' 8-bit allowed the creation of the desert and snowy areas. However I'll pick Johto. Silver was my first game, so it might be a bit biased but then again what opinions here wouldn't be biased in such a way? I wouldn't consider them biased.
I liked Johto compared to Kanto because of the rural feeling it had to it. There's just grass and trees everywhere. Even in towns. Kanto is pretty much an urban region. It also introduced night/day, which was really more immersive, and the music on it helped it, it was more complex than the music in Kanto, and felt more adventurous.
Johto it is.

Since some of my favorite pokemon are hitmonlee and dusknoir, i'd have to say hoenn or sinnoh. :) :)

It has like three water types,(oshawott, basculin, and panpour) not counting the evolutions. Gurdurr looks like a clown, and its evolution is even worse. ::) :P ::)

Um.. okay, though I don't think that one should relate the region to the pokemon that can be caught there, but instead to the map feature themselves.

hoenn? i think it is called with the totodiles and stuff? and then orre(which is what i think is both Pokemon XD gale of darkness and Pokemon Colosseum). and then sinnoh :P

Just adding to my post wich fell behind lol.
Ive recently done a rerun of Unova,and to be honest.It managed to clear of the dust of itself.
Still,Sinnoh is in the front for me lol.

Johto, my first journey as a trainer started there. The legendary pokemon are more awesome too, there are very few legends in Kanto and there are waaaaaay too many in Hoenn and Sinnoh. HG was a super gift from Gamefreak (even thought we had to pay for it)

I've gotta go with Kanto. I really enjoyed Gold, Silver, and Crystal.
