Title: Mapping expert
Post by: NotteEterna on April 21, 2011, 06:32:37 PM
So I have been mapping both via rips for different things with Photoshoop and with a program called RPGMaker VX. I am considered to be near-god when it comes to mapping so I figured I would put this out there.

-No, I'm not in a Euro time-zone, but I am up at all hours of day(and night) so It shouldnt matter that much.

-Age: Is this really important? I mean you could be shorting yourself out of some very good help here.

-IRC: I havnt found it yet...

-Previous works:

Age is important to them, because they want mature people on the team. See that yellow bar at the top? Click chat to get on IRC, and then register your nick so that other people can't use it.

how could you have a shot at being a mapper without showing any previous work?

Yeah, I was wondering that too.

It's a pretty agressive approach, and (as mentioned before) you didn't show any of your previous work, which is necessary to evaluate your mapping-skills. You might have to change your approach in order to become a mapper, but this is only my honest opinion.

Here are 5 examples of my work. I must admit that I have better works on my home computer, but I figure these are good enough. They are in an editor in case you see somthing odd like a faint square or NPC. Also some are zoomed out so you may see the whole picture.

I am posting this as a reply since i cant find a topic edit button on this forum.

If you are good in spriting, you could apply for that too, they need alot more spriters at the moment.

If i have a base and can take bits and pieces form other sprites to do it, I think i would be able to do so. "frankenspriting" if you may, is the only thype of sprites I do.
