Found a bug in our server report it here?
This can be anything from an incorrect number to an ability not working properly!
-
Fiery Dance
- Base Power decreased from 80 to 70.
On server it is 75.
There was another that I found but I can't remember it at the moment. I will report back when I do.
-
I think I got a bug with Tentacruel. It had Aquaring but for some reason, it wouldn't let me choose it, or it allowed, me then there were pop-ups when I picked other moves like scald saying I couldn't have Aquaring...
-
Isn't drapion supposed to have DD? he doesn't/

Nope...
Feel free to google your issue before posting, btw XP
A quick search would reveal Drapion never got DD.

It's a 5th Gen Egg Move - so you may be trying to use it with moves that he got from other gens only.
At any rate, I'll add it to his level-up moves :)
-
Hey L5P i was just going off of what noah and roloc said, so sorry, they said he was supposed to get it after balancing btw.
-
That's fine
We haven't balanced Drapion, so I'm really not sure of where that came from.
-
Okay, not really an issue related to PO, but the report for Smeargle lacks the base stats ???
-

That's fine! This is the right place to report that
I'll fix that now!

Oops, apperantly I forgot that...
-
A friend accedentally had a weezing and he was still on balance.
-
Okay, the tier list should be fixed, but it won't be implemented on the server for a while.
EDIT: It has also come to my attention that dewgong is also banned, this will be fixed in the next update.
-
Swampert doesn't work in the Balanced Tier!!! Whatsoever. I've tried changing everything, and I've seen others do too, but it still won't work. Fix, or at least edit Available Pokemon list ^^
-
Thanks, that makes three I've missed so far. Hopefully there won't be any more problems with the tiers for the moment.
Just to explain, to get the tiers to work, I had to remove every allowed pokemon from an alphabetical list of all 646 pokemon, so if there's problems please just report it here. Remember, the available pokemon list is correct and any deviations are wrong.

Do the weather abilities re-activate themselves everyturn? I think that's an issue...
-
Is disable supposed to be permanent?
I didn't flinch, was not asleep, or anything like that. I was able to use other moves, but disable stayed on. It lasted for 12 turns till I switched
-
Mr.Roloc and I tested it, Disable is permanent until the target switches out. Is this how its supposed to be? I'm pretty sure its not...
-
Me and Noah did a test with disable and it lasted from the end of round 3 to round 25 where we just ended the battle cause it was apparent that it was not going to go away.
-

Yeah, the weather is a bit messed up. When I switched in Ninetales on a Hippodowdon the weather stayed as a sandstorm.
Just reporting what I saw, and that it's happened more than once.
-
That's how it works now, to make the weather not run out when the pokemon is still in, it has to check every turn. This has the effect of making the slower pokemon's weather the one that occurs, this is the same as when both pokemon came in at the same time in the old system.
With regards to disable, we haven't changed any of the code for that move, which means it is a problem with the original PO code. I'll look into getting it fixed.
-
I know L5P already knows this but I want to make it formal. Rock Smash can get a bit overpowering. It completely negates any def advantage. Unless you resist is or are immune your going to get hit very hard. Ask Cortex, I took his two physically defensive pokemon and reduced them to nothing. Just wanted to let you guys know.

That's both interesting and really annoying. Is there any way to tell apart and keep track of which pokemon just switched in so as to remove this effect?
If not I suggest removing weather abilities. Cause honestly this is a little unfair.
-
I think if u switch the pokemon that have slower speed than the one already in then that cancel the effect of that pokemon
-
Yeah, but it makes Hippowdon a troll for my team at least.
-
I wouldn't call Rock Smash OP..
If you are going to use Rock Smash continually, and aren't knocked out within 2-3 turns, it's the opponent's fault for not switching or taking you out.
Of course, if the opponent only has 2 defensive walls left, then you can just use rock smash as an advantage to your team.
Doesn't Charge Beam and Flame Charge do similar, in that the result is a +1 gain for the user (-1 Def of opponent is effectively +1 attack for Rock Smash user)? I wouldn't call them OP.
-
Well, flame charge increases speed, perhaps you're thinking of metal claw? Besides, the disadvantage to lowering defence instead of increasing attack is that when they switch out, all your work is lost.
As for weather, I'll talk to pidgey about it.

Ok, I was just wondering. Because it does seem a bit unfair. If there is no way around it then oh well.
Oh and good work on Emboar he's great.

One thing that occurred in which I see two issues:
Turn 4: Hippowdon is sent out. Hippowdon's Sandstream whipped up a sandstorm.
Turn 5: Ninetales is sent out. Ninetales' Drought intensified the sun rays.
Turn 5: Hippowdon's Sandstream whipped up a sandstorm.
Turn 6: Trainer took back Hippowdon, sent out Vileplume.
Turn 6: Ninetales' Drought intensified the sun rays.
Seems broken to me :-\
-
I don't see the problem. Hippo was slower, so when they're both in, his takes over. He leaves and ninetales makes it sunny again.
I understand that you guys feel that ninetales should keep the sun going when it comes in, but I've already explained why that doesn't happen. Could you elaborate on what part is broken?
-
Well, okay, if you don't think that's broken...
Maybe I got used too much to the previous system of weather abilities..
-
It's not that I don't think it's broken, it's that I can't see where you think it's broken. What do you think should happen in your example? It could be that I'm to close to the problem to see it.
-

We both seem to think that if Hippowdon has a sandstorm up then another pokemon like Ninetales is switched in the weather should be sun. It shouldn't revert at all. It should be based on the newest pokemon brought into the game. Speed should only matter if they switched in at the same time.
This way people can counter weather with their own.

This! Even though it makes my Hippowdon a bit less good

ANOTHER person with a weezing is not in the banned tier...
-
deadae was the one in the server but perhaps it's because she don't have the PU version.... sry we just now learned about all this. so with the updated version maybe she wont be aloud to use it.
-
No, it's server side. I've already added it to the tier list. As well as banning quick claw, since I've been seeing heaps of people using it. It'll come in the next time we update the server.

That means I'll have to download the new Database eventually right?
Also could you guys post an in-depth explanation of how to unzip the folder. Some people have trouble with that, and I'm tired of trying to help. So much so I don't even wanna make a thread for it. Literally.

I might actually fix Quick Claw my own way... hehehe

Quick Claw now has the opposite effect, as well as it's a stat reducer.
Great plan :D
-
I'd like to put in, that this is a fantastic idea. Just don't tell anyone and watch the pain of annoying players.
-
Or, quick claw will automatically cause fainting upon entering the battle. EPIC.
-
Not sure why but the server is refusing to connect. Just posting in case.

It's doing the same thing for me.
-
It may be that someone who is hosting the server doesn't have the program open to keep the server open.
-
Yeah I think L5P could be having net problems again. I'm sure he will have it fixed asap.
-
All Pokemon-Universe services has been out of service for a short while today.
Our testing server aswell as the sign-up services might still be down and will be up and running as soon as possible.
The reason for this is the upcoming beta that we're preparing.

Eh, it's not a big deal. I'm sure it'll get fixed. Til then I still have skyrim...
I just thought at first when the site was down, that maybe, just maybe, PU got shut down.
I was quite scared.
-
If you are able to do so I purpose that you turn off the ability to do challenge cup on the test server. It seems a lot of people are just playing in the challenge cup.
I have a list of names of the ones I have seen doing the challenge cup battles multiple times. If you would like me to PM you those names let me know.
-
The few times I have done challenge cup I
A.) was challenged and didn't know it was on.
B.) hit it on accident.
And C.) forgot about it after B.
-
Me and another player were battling, and he used Psychic, and it caused my pokemon to flinch. I know very well that Psychic isn't supposed to do that, and there were no other factors that could have induced a flinch (abilities, items. ect.).

I don't see anything wrong with people doing challenge cup. It's forces you to come up with a strategy on the spot, and it's pretty fun.

The balance server is for testing the pokemon the balance team has balanced. There are plenty of other servers to go to and have "fun" on imo. It's annoying when I have spent time building teams to test and all anyone wants to do is challenge cup.
IMO if you want to do the challenge cup, go to another server and not do it on the server that is ment for TESTING.

They must have been holding a Kings Rock.
-
Thats what I said in the server chat but they said they weren't holding it.
But that could have been a lie.
-
There is nothing wrong with my internet and im watching zorocario play in th pu server on po but i am not able to log in it says host not found?
idk musta got fixed about 30 mins later it works now
-
Masquerain report mentions it can use Surf.
But on PO server.Surf is unusable.
-
Oh yeah, that's Pidgey mixing things up again. It should read Scald.
EDIT: And now it does.
-
Um... the confusion status is not healed when rest is used?
-
Very true.
-
Rest only gets rid of major status ailments, burn, poison, para.
