Will we be able to find starter type pokemon in the wild, thus having a team of such pokemon? I could not find any clear answer.

I am sorry. I really couldn't find much about the starters other than which ones.

Jerry, the starters shouldn't be found in the wild. The starters should be special and not catchable. A good idea is to fight them but not to catch them. Thats the magic from the starters. They are strong, uncatchable and it evolves hard. If you can catch them, you should give us a weedle as starter. Dont destoy the starter poke magic. ;D

I'm not the one to decide, but I agree with the current system. And I don't think it should be changed.
After all, starters are catchable in the show and they are not always stronger than other catchable pokemon.

If the people trade and breed 'em its not my problem. They lose their starters.

The starters are much more stronger than other pokemons at level 100(not if they are legendary but legendary will not be catchable.).

Nope, a lot of other pokemon are in the uber, OU and UU tier, and only a few are starter pokemon.

If they breed then trade they don't lose their starters...

There are plenty of pokemon that are better. Starters aren't typically that much stronger stat wise, and besides Hydro Cannon, Frenzy Plant, and Blast Burn, they don't really learn any "special" moves that other pokemon can't learn.

Actually stat wise the starters are fairly weaker than a whole lot of other Pokemon. They are just a bit more balanced and less specialized.

Actually, to the contrary, at the base stat total of 525, Starters are actually in the higher echelons of power.
Quite far above the general average of ~450.
That said they're not exactly pseudo-legendaries.

From what I understand, we'll be able to choose from all starters from every current Pokemon game. Why not have an equal number of random "normal" pokemon to choose from just in case someone wants to start with, say a weedle, instead of a charmander?
The magic of a starter is to choose a pokemon that represents your personality. What if my personality is a bellsrpout and not a bulbasaur? I just think we should have the option, is all.

If you want to start off a Bellsprout or Weedle, you can still catch one and store your starter in your storage system. No one is preventing you from doing that.

Give it up meowth, I tried proposing this idea a long time ago. No one takes it seriously unless you can explain it better. But no matter how you explain it, it's not going to happen. Besides, chimchar fits my personality the best anyway, so it's not all bad.

Yeah, I can see how it's a bad idea from a technical standpoint. In a perfect world, picking any pokemon as your starter would be possible.... although, in a perfect world, pokemon would be real. lol
