What was the best ideas and/or stats or like something you really like about the game.
Answer Example: i Really liked going to the Tournaments, and the Gym Leader Battles is my favorite part of the game(:
-
I liked the important battles like Gym Leaders, Bosses, Elite 4, Rival when fully leveled up...
-
I liked training pokemon and then using the pokemon i trained in the battle facilities (Battle tower and Battle Frontier).
-
I like it when building up my team and defeat someone stronger than me... it's a challenge for me
-
i like discovering new Pokemon and catching rares to make my team stronger. Discovering new things in the game traveling around. Those fun things.
-
I liked the music of the games. Especially the boss battles, Fronteir Tycoons especially.
-
all the legendaries...but my arceus didn't learn any good moves...(Hyper Beam,Fire Blast,Protect, and that healing move... cant remember)
-
I like just being able to catch them all.
-
I love Dialga ;D Roar of Time destroys ;)
-
I like the battlING catching and training pokemon?
-
all honesty i love when a new pokemon game comes with a new region and new pokemon and everything is a surprise, i dont look up any new pokemon information and i just go through the whole game catching what pleases my eye

DUDE, that is what I miss about my childhood pokemon times. When me and I brother baught our second pokemon game: Silver. We had no idea what it had in store for us, and we explored, not knowing a thing about any pokemon. IT was so awesome. Miss that, now I am farmiliar with mostly all pokemon lol

I know exactly what you mean. When my Cyndaquil evolved at lvl 14 I was so pumped.
-
I like going through and finding new Pokemon in a new region, much like Amphy. That adds a sense of surprise and also excitement. I also like using serebii to sort of cheat once I know all the Pokemon. :P
-
I love how the storyline is long enough that you get a good amount of gameplay from it, and there was still the Battle Tower/Frontier afterwards.

lol i usually don't bother with battle frontier i find it boring and very tedious

I know what you mean, but at least it's something.
-
Not to speak about the items you get from the battle points!
Leftovers, Choice band, TM 26, etc are very good rare items.
-
my fave was that feeling of success when you finnaly beat that one guy who was eluding you or caught that pokemon you were hunting for a long time. its the feeling of accomplishment and success i loved. ;D
-
I don't know about you guys, but I sure loved finding a rare candy :D
-
I really enjoy the breeding, IV, and EV aspect of the game. It gives me a whole slew of things to do once I've beaten the game. Honestly, I love breeding and training Pokemon. Not only that, but there is a certain... joy when you first hatch an egg; followed by finding out that it has the exact IV's you were hoping for.
-
Well, I LOVED the story in Pokémon Crystal, and I spent many hours searching for Suicune.
-
Well, I LOVED the story in Pokémon Crystal, and I spent many hours searching for Suicune.
I honestly think that Crystal had the best story in the entire series. I can't even take DPPt seriously.
-
I really liked the elite 4. Didn't matter how many times I beat them, it was always fun trying to do it with a new combination of pokemon.
-

the elite 4 was fun i remember trying to crush them with just 1 pokemon and then failing. it was still awsome almost making it.

The Introduction of the Pokemon Contests and Pokethelon.

wow, i try to do the same thing and failed as well..... common sense they were easy after you defeat them like the first 3 times
-
well i've beated the sinnoh E4+champion with ONLY my lv100 empoleon, yeah i EV-trained it
-
Just the overall adventure in it as well as trainer your fav pokemon and to become the best that ever was 8)
-
the legendary Pokemon they are powerful and sometimes hard to catch
-
the rpg part
-
the legendary Pokemon they are powerful and sometimes hard to catch
Well then, how does it make you feel that there are no legendaries in PU?
-
I liked the battle tent like in the Emerald Version.
But I also like the contests like in Ruby.
The battle tent was good to learn some strategies, too bad you couldn't get EXP... That would have helped your own pokemon....
And the contests because there was something new and other than just the battling aspect of the game... ^_^
-
Second Generation, I enjoyed going to the Kanto region.
I also like fighting that ultimate trainer that has +Lv80 Pokemon. I won't be surprised if the 5th generation has a trainer with Lv 90 Pokemon.
-
Oh! And the random NPC trades..! :D!
-
Oh! And the random NPC trades..! :D!
I hated that. I'm glad you're not forced to do that anymore like you did on first generation.
-
U were forced to do NPC trades..? =3=?
I don't remember that... ._.
You hate it? XD!
-
My favorite part of the pokemon games were the side quests. I love how you dont have to go straight through and get a badge then onto the next badge. With side quests you get a badge, do some other stuff fight some other people then onto the next badge and it makes it pretty fun. Also prepares your pokemon for the next badge.
-
U were forced to do NPC trades..? =3=?
I don't remember that... ._.
You hate it? XD!
It was the only way to get certain Pokemon; you were forced to trade with the NPC's if you wanted to complete your Pokedex.
-
Hm.. It would have to be facing team rocket :P
-
U were forced to do NPC trades..? =3=?
I don't remember that... ._.
You hate it? XD!
On the first generation, if you wanted to complete your Pokedex, yes you do. So I had a Farfetch'd named Dux, and you can't change the name...
-
Nope you can't :3!
Something about the trainers feelings or something... =3=
Computers dont have feelings.... :/
Well... I mean AI and stuff... Wow I went off topic... >.>
-
Nope you can't :3!

Well... I mean AI and stuff... Wow I went off topic... >.>
This is why I gave my Pokemon offensive names and traded them too my friends, because they were to lazy to attempt to catch them on their own.
That no longer works now that you can breed Pokemon though.
-
Haha. Yeah, that is true... :3
-
contests were my favorite
-
contests were my favorite
I hated when some NPC used Tough moves in the Beauty segment and startled my Pokemon...
-
gym battles for me. :)
-
Haha... Marissa stop looking at all the negatives... =3=!
This is what you like... :3! Just agree with the person... XD!
-
I loved having a team of all level 100, then finding a pimped-out pokemon, like gabite or gallade, and having to spend fifty bajillion hours raising it to a passible level so it can be in your team.
No-... I hated that.
I like finding the pimped-out pokemon that come in every new generation. There's always at least three new ones each generation. Like Lucario from Sinnoh, Gallade from Hoenn (Mah personal favorite region), and Kadabra, from our beloved first generation. I almost regretted doing the level-up trade to turn him into alakazam, because alakazam had neither the tail nor the manly hindu squiggles on his forhead.
Wait... was gallade just added as an evelution to ralts in Sinnoh, or was it always there? I always get confoozled by these evolution add-ons.
-
Gallade was in the 4th gen. Fans were mad that there was only a female evolution to Ralts... even if it was a boy, so they added Gallade to make the unhappy people shut up in the recent generation... :3
-
Haha... Marissa stop looking at all the negatives... =3=!

yesh i agree
-
Owning my friends in multiplayer.
-
Wi-Fi..? XD!
Oh! That was another cool addition... :3
-

Meh, in the fanboy/fangirl's defense, Gallade really should have already been there. Regardless, he remains a member of the pimp list. I don't care if Gallade is just a STFU device implemented by 'them'.
On the topic of 'them', who exactly is it that owns pokemon? Gamefreak? Nintendo? Creatures? What do they all contribute to pokemanz?
-
They are all a part of it yeah, probably... :3
-
Best thing about the pokemon games has to be when you visit saffron city in silver/gold. They keep talking about this mysterious trainer (ME!) that was you in the r/b/y series
-
My favorite part of all pokemon was when they first came out with the egg idea. But once the egg hatched from the first egg, giving you a Toga (I don't say the whole name, mainly because I just like nicknaming all the pokemon. Heh. I hope you know what pokemon I am talking about.)
The only part I didn't like was getting that Toga, I liked all the other pokemon eggs though that you could control. Keeping some moves and passing them to younger pokemon through eggs was sort of nice too, such as Dig.
The most excitement I ever experienced though was finding MewTwo on Pokemon Red. Haha. I was so young, I never expected it. It took me almost the whole day to get it, because I had no idea what I was doing, but catching it with a regular pokeball was definately a moment of self-greatness for me. It didn't last that long though, my gameboy stuff was stolen the next day, haha. I eventually restarted and bought the games over, and yeah. Haha.
On a side note, I think they should come up with more evee forms, to complete all single attribute type evolutions for it. A ghost evolution for evee would be sweet, with slight ghostly fumes rising up from a faded body. The tail blending in with the background at the end. That would be awesome.
Edit: Please note that I am not exactly the most informed on Pokemon or the most knowing on the subject, so if there are new forms in the making, I would be more than happy if you let me know. I am really interested in this. -Just recently became super interested in Pokemon and trying to come up with my own ideas on things of the sort.-
-
Yeah, I thought the egg thing was kinda wired... I mean...
When you hatch an egg it starts at lvl 5... Some wild pokemon are at lvl 2...
So glad they changed that, now it makes sense... :3
-

Yeh, and lots of it had to do with Team Rocket Magma Aqua and Galactic?
-
although a lot of people dislike the addition of all the new pokemon, i like the variety it adds to the game so you cant always build a team that can counter every possible strategy out there with every single pokemon
-
If you stick with old school, there will be a huge deduction of all the moves... In generation one they didn't have the "Special Abilities" =3=! Wait... Is this what you like or hate... I forget... =3=
-
This is what you liked :P
And I agree, the more Pokemon, the better. As long as they aren't stupid designs like gears..
-
"I like the human like shaped ones.. :3
Just not Jynx Ew... =3=..."
-
I really liked the secret bases, as simple as they were, It felt like a cool hideout after all my adventureing.
-
The battles, the legendaries, trying as hard as you can to keep those last few revives and potions for the champion so you don't get screwed over like you did in the first game... you know the usual
-
I really liked the secret bases, as simple as they were, It felt like a cool hideout after all my adventuring.
Same here!
-
the Jhoto league was a joke but it was fun and so cool when i finishd my national dex and it was so fun catching mewtwo on soul silver and the best time i had on soul silver was fihgting red wining and i lost a bunch of times but it was fun ;D
-
My favorite thing about the pokemon games is exploring new land and searching for rare and valuable pokemon.
-
the fact that the first pokemon games had fewer pokemon to catch...pokedex fills faster. ;D
-
i like when leveling up and facing Gym Leaders and getting there badges
-
I also like travelling to new regions and how your pokemon can interact with you :D
-
Trading with friends and breeding.
-
I like training my pokemon, breading, and the satisfaction that you get after you beat the elite four, and get a pokemon that you have been trying FOREVER to get.
-
Catching legendary Pokemons!
Trying to get them to VERY little hp as possible, but the last attack to make their health very little, you critical hits and own the legendaries... ahh the good times.
-
Probably some of my favorite things about previous pokemon games include the ability to have your own one in a billion team. And i think the type system is great, a little imbalances here and there, but it's still amazing and solid.
-
i like nearly all the pokemon but they need to bring back the originals like charmander of jiggilypuff but i suppose my fav pokemon has got to be mew because its cute and i like the bubbles it creates
-
i like nearly all the pokemon but they need to bring back the originals like charmander of jiggilypuff
...They do... every game... except fot the starters.
-
Loved stumbling upon a shiny, Catching Legendaries, and the soundtracks, and best of all participating in the Pokemon contest and mixing pokeblocks hehe
-
The soundtrack. Some of the songs and melodys have been stuck in my head forever and when I hear them now a wave of cheery nostalgia washes over me.
-
i loved the start when you first start your journey :)
-
Creating an ash's Pikachu
Creating a Dawn's Buneary
Creating a Brock's Crogunk
Basically creating Anime Pokemon and beating others with them
i just wish i would've gotten the game sooner so i could go against ya'll and others since no one plays online anymore
-
Oi, how do you think I feel? I joined two days before Pre-Beta. TWO DAYS! Just another month or two, and I could've gotten in to pre-beta...
-
Oi, how do you think I feel? I joined two days before Pre-Beta. TWO DAYS! Just another month or two, and I could've gotten in to pre-beta...
i think you're talking about the internet. ???
i was talking about the DS games(e.g.PkMn Diamond) :'(
-
I'm talking about missing out on opportunities playing a game online in general.
-
you haven't connected any of your consoles to your rotor?
-
...
Yes. I have. I'm saying that I just barely missed the opportunity to be a pre-beta tester. That's missing out on an opportunity to play a game online. Much lik buying a game after it goes out of style.
-
The soundtrack
Starting out
Gym leaders
Catching new pokemon
Evolving your pokemon
So um, I guess my favourite thing about the Pokemon games is err.... the Pokemon games :/
-
Word!
It was an epic feeling when everyone playd pokémon blue, red and yellow on gb or gbc.
Best thing in the games imo:
Beginning, when u choose your fist pokémon.
-
Getting a Call
Grab your gameboy and going to play with your friends at the park ;D
-
*over phone*
"Hey, man, wanna hang out?"
"No, I gotta beat my pokemanz!"
"You need to get out more, bro."
"But I am out!"
"Oh really?"
"Yeah! I'm trading my pikachu for a charizard in the park right now!"
"..."
"Heh, n00b doesn't even know I have ten more pikachus"
"...I'm gonna hang up now, dude. If you go into a video game coma when your battery dies, let me know."
So, uh... I think my favorite part of pokemon is actually the fact that I get to talk with a pothead tone whenever someone starts taking it seriously.
-
I like finding new more powerful Pokemon to add to my list of favorites, than crushing the battle frontier! ;D
-
The thing I love about Pokemon is that It was the first RPG game I had ever played and got me and my best friend to hang out more :D
-
(http://www.halolz.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/profoak.gif)
This is what I love.
-
collecting my favourites and beating everyone using them;)
-
I like to breed pokemon, and raise a good team. As many have said to train them, and to go through the important battles. Ex: gym leaders.
-
I always really enjoyed the gym battles and elite 4
-
My favorite part, from all the games is when You fight Red in silver version. Made you feel like you have come a long way from home after the gyms and elite 4, then you finish it all off with a epic battle versus the pokemon master. Along with epic music, this was a great end.
-
i love that you GOTTA CATCH EM' ALL
-
Definately the Missingo glitch on Pokemon Blue and Red. True Pokemon Veterens will know what im talking about ;D
-
Far more common than missingo was Missingno's retarded brother: M&%$#$
-
Arg, that pesky little thing... sure it was 'beneficial' in some way but.. no thanks. After crashing my game (I used a Ditto and used Transform and I think that's what crashed my game) no more MissingNo glitch >.<
And thinking of something, Cycling Road (any one) was the feature I liked very much. It was there that you could move the fastest, get steps to hatch eggs, without even pressing any button. (if upway is slower like in Kanto, then use fly instead)
-
The good old days when there were only 4 Ledgendaries ;D
-
There was Mew, Mewtwo, and the three birds... that'd be five.
-
There was Mew, Mewtwo, and the three birds... that'd be five.
didn't know that you could count!
-
Where can you catch Mew?
-
That would be a using a glitch in the games that I never really understood how to use. I heard so many several different versions of how to get Mew >.<
-
You understand that now im going to have to search the whole of England to find a retro game shop buy Pokemon Blue Version and play the whole game again to catch this mew!
When I started playing my philosophy was that : Gotta catch em' all!
Was an order not optional!
-
I still think, to this day, that my favorite part of Pokemon games for me is collecting as many Pokemon that I can find then looking them up in my soft covered Pokemon Dex. I try to remember stats and so on when I look them up, but no can do. My brain is too old...
-
You can get an emulator... 'cause getting a Blue version might not be possible now...
-
look on ebay
-
Wow!
An untouched Pokemon Blue version is worth 72 quid on ebay!
-
i love finnding an shiny pokemon whitout cheats and actually catch it an train
and catch pokemon train it and actually grow bonds with it (that sounded like i had no life at all.... -.-)
-
Wow!
An untouched Pokemon Blue version is worth 72 quid on ebay!
whats quid?
-
Oh sorry forgot there are people from other countries here ;D
I love being stupid.
When I mean Quid. I mean Money Currency ( Dollar, Pound )
-
that is alot of money :o
-
i loved bathelling with every thing!!!! and see my pokemons evolve
-
i loved playing red for the first time and busting into the rock gym thinking i was hot stuff and getting my ass kicked! it made me step back and actually plan a strategy to win. (i busted in with a pidgey and a charmander ready for action and eventually came up with the plan of using sand attack to lower accuracy then switching in charmander and using ember for damage)
-
then after some time, your charizard started to eat faces, right?
-
Those Rare candies must of had some side effects.
Cause that Charizard is ripped
-
Simple, the diifernt pokemon.
-
I have loved every pokemon game out except "hey you pikachu" and how he would never listen to me.. I love how i own every pokemon game ever made except for the ranger games *I do own all the fake GB ones*. Only thing i don't like is how, now when i play the older versions like blue, yellow or heck.. my favorite of all time Silver and find how hard it is to get back into it due to the lack of graphics and all the other fun things in the newer versions. But the best thing of all is how each game has stole 60+ hours each of my life... *Except* the console versions. those never grabbed me like the GB did and how its the same game in concept but can still make me want to play the new ones everytime they come out... 13years running for the american release of red/blue and still making me excited to play them.
-
i disagree my favorite pokemon red the original red and yes i am ten and i have a crystal and emerald and diamond but still you have to love the originals
-
i want to play the originals
-
then after some time, your charizard started to eat faces, right?
dam skippy!
-
i want to play the originals
see i am not the only one i am play red and crystal
-

-
best thing was missingno lol
but they were just really fun to play, even with the new ones, i may not know all these new pokemon, but its the rpg factor i like, having to solve puzzles, train, its something you could play forever and never et sick of, i dont mind the console games, i agree with hey you pikachu and him never listening, pokepark on wii is not bad, too short for my liking though, i just wish theyd make a rpg pokemon on wii or whatever system is coming after wii, put into 3 discs like they did with final fantasy if you have too
-
You know, Victini was a way to counter Missingno. and Purge. Making it No. 000 in the pokedex makes it so that Missingno. isn't No. 000 and can't be obtained (since it didn't have to be put in the game).
-
the best thing about red yellow and blue the mew glitch
-
the first game I ever played was Silver. My friend had it and would let me play if for hours...
-
My first game was Pokemon Yellow. I loved having Pikachu follow me around. This is why Yellow has, is, and forever will be my favorite. I still have the game, and it still works too.
-
:(
-
What's up? Why are you sad all of a sudden?
-
ya'll started on classics.
Even my friends played the classics.
I had to start at Gen 4. :(
-
i used to starting a new game once i finished it was really fun i still love the start of all the pokemon games
-
i didnt start with classics i started with gen 3 but hay gen 1 still cool
-
-_-
You're not helping. You still started earlier than I did, and I don't have an AR to subsitute the gens.
-
i try to help and i make it worse sorry my first pokemon game i beat the elite four on was soul silver that help any

Don't tell Montza to shut up. He's significantly higher than you in the hierarchy of Cool.
That being said...
>walk into local game store to pre-order Black
>nervous as chansey
>walk around pretending to look at games
>plucking up courage to go over to the counter
>finally decide to man up and go over there
>cute chick on the counter wearing Black/White promotional t-shirt
>I'm fearful
>she asks which starter I'm gonna choose
>I shyly reply "tepig, and you?"
>"bulbasaur"
>mfw: :U

Haha. When I preordered Pokemon Diamond there was a guy behind the counter who was undoubtably high.
So I was like could I preorder Pokemon Diamond please?
Then he stared at me for an awkard 30 seconds before I decided to break the line of sight between me and his bloodshot eyes with his pupils the size of marbles, and his gaping mouth as if he had just seen Angelina Jolie naked. I left the store and looked back at him still staring at me.
Then half an hour later I see him being dragged out the mall by security.
Its good to know reliable people work in video game stores these days.
-
I never preorder. I buy it after it has been in the store for awhile, then I missed any event I HACK it.
-
Hacking! :o

lol! good one!
-
I pretty much like the challenges and storyline, and how theres like over 500 pokemon now. I mean you can have your own custom pokemon team, and no two pokemon are exactly alike. This is the kind og game you treasure and look back at when you get older. Although i gotta say this, you CANT catch them all like they say. I mean cmon people their going to end but until, what? Like the tenth generation we cant catch them all XD.
-
I always liked to repeat the pokemon league! for pure PWNAGE!!
-
not in soul silver if you have beaten red they are beast not even my team of level 70s
