I was wondering if Pokemon gale of darkness is worth buying.
I enjoy the gameboy games of pokemon with the whole walking around getting badges and capturing them and leveling them up.
However most of the pokemon games on gamecube are actully just fighting pokemon never catching.
Is this pokemon game different?
Could it be compared to a gameboy pokemon game such as red, blue or any other color in the color spectrum.

It's not bad, but I don't like the concept of it. You run around, getting shadow pokemon and purify them, which is kind of cool, but the part I don't like, is that every pokemon has a set move list, leaving your favorites without options, it's a fun game, but you have to be into its style.

hmm so you can catch pokemon and use them?
so if i wanted I could get a raichu?

You should go to your nearest video game store or check online for reviews. Those usually help explain a lot about the features of a game and if it's good to buy or not.

Yeah, whatever people tell you on here will be biased.

Its good, you can transfer pokemon you catch on it to your GBA games, and I like it. It has a pretty decent storyline, too, so its not like the stadium games. Oh, and Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu are not obtainable anywhere in the game, you have to trade them from one of your GBA games.

i have it,it's alright...the wild pokemon system is very linear and boring, most of the shadow pokemon you get are pretty good, shadow lugia is a great pokemon(though you have to have all 9 chambers 100%)along with the legendary birds...its either you like it or hate it.

It is a good game but it doesnt have much replay value if you start the story mode over and its purifying system is better than colloseums. making purifying every single pokemon easier since i think 51 pokemon are available in the game. just dont expect it to be anything like the handhelds

Rolien asked this nearly a year ago and I don't think that he is even here to read your post...
