So this kid in my class got angry and punched a concrete wall in school a few weeks ago and broke his hand in multiple places. He was hoping to get his cast off in two weeks or so but instead he had to get his bones realigned and I'm pretty sure he needed metal robs in his hand too to help keep the bones from shifting again. Eventually he became sick of waiting and today he decided to take the cast off himself.

The first time he tried to get it off he used a hammer. Needless to say all that did was rattle his hand around a bit.

The second time he used an electric cutter grinder [It's kind of like the electric grinders they use to get casts off, but is much more large and is designed to cut metal, not a person's cast]. This was a horrible idea considering that he only had one good hand to control it, and he could have easily slipped and chopped his fingers off.

The third time he tried to cut it open with a pair of tin snips... And succeeded! The smell of his unwashed hand was so horrible, and I couldn't help but noticed that the hand with the cast on it had grown so much dark hair! It looked like he had a single chimp hand. We made those perverted "hairy palm" jokes all day :]

Anyways, surprise - His hand wasn't fully healed and he had to get another cast!

Anyone else have any random idiot stories?

I have to disagree with some people. I think it looks best with the tall grass everywhere. It makes the area looked untouched and more natural. I think if more buildings or signs were added it would ruin the picture... But that's my opinion. I prefer nature maps over city maps.

why would buildings be added? It's not a town. And without city maps, you're just a kid living in the wilderness, no gyms , marts, pokecenters, etc.... >.<

That's true, but I'd rather want to be living in a little shack in the forest than in a smog infested town :D Bahahaha.

It depends on if I'm alone or not... If I'm alone or with one of my buddies I'll have it on medium - high. If I'm around a lot of people I get slightly embarrassed and either stop playing or turn the volume off.  ;)

Hello all! I'm Minsi... No that's not my real name, but I prefer not to give my real name out :] I live in the New England part of the U.S. I'm eighteen and a senior in high school. I'll be a college student in the fall, and I'm hoping to become a dental hygienist. I enjoy music but cannot play an instrument, like to turn scraps of metal into artwork in my metal fabrication class, and spend time with my friends, family, and boyfriend. That's about it in a nutshell!

Edit: Oh yes, also I have a laptop with Windows Vista, I dislike Macs if anyone was wondering!

It looks good to me. It's very clean and the theme is constant. It would be great if little pokemon icons were on there, interacting with the people and everything. Keep up the good work.

I found this to be... Complicated? To say the least. It could have been rewritten to make it more simple and more straight to the point. I don't understand what the main idea of it is; After the arriving on the island part I was completely lost.

However, from the bits I could understand, it seems like you're suggesting that you choose which team you want to be on, that specific team member brings you to an island after you do a side mission on the boat and you ultimately need to help calm Kyogre and Groudon down.

Which sounds like a rip off of what you need to do with Pokemon Emerald, except the beginning and teams are slightly different.

The first part of the quest is the most original; You should try to branch a different, more unique idea off of that instead of copying Pokemon Emerald's main plot...

When I typed in "cooking" and related words in the search nothing based on it showed up... So I didn't know a related idea was suggested. Partially my fault I guess?

Even so, the items could still be used for quests later on in the game.

I prefer the Hoenn region over all others. Johto region, to me, has a few well thought out pokemon but the majority is ehhh... I'll pass.

I like ground, poison, and electric types; I don't like the 'type' normal but I usually have a few on my team anyways. I hate to use dragon, grass, and fire types... Not too sure why.

Game Features / Cooking Idea

I thought it would be a neat idea if there was cooking in the game. Users would be able to create edible items that could have healing benefits, be valuable for certain quests, etc. You could use items made by your pokemon [Examples; Miltank could supply moomoo milk, female fish pokemon could provide caviar, grass types could provide herbs]. Users could also make meals / snacks out of berries and lava cookies found in the game. The more you practice cooking, the better you'd get at it, and the more foods you could make. Also, recipes could be incorporated into the game, allowing you to unlock certain foods you could make [Certain recipes could also require a certain cooking skill and multiple ingredients].

So, what do you think? Good idea, or too much work?

This would be awesome; And maybe there can be seasonal pokemon? [E.G.  small herd of Stantler roaming around in the winter, Cherubi and other grass types abundant in the spring, etc.]

I think the game should be released in beta and all the important base codes, art, etc. should be done first though.

This also brings up another idea, although it may be too complicated with different time zones... Day and night? Dark pokemon can be more abundant at night, and it would add the real effects of certain pokemon evolving. Not sure if this was mentioned already :]
