Is it possible to make it so when you go into battle you can send out any Pokemon in the team like in Pokemon stadium. So if you get challenged to a battle you can send out any Pokemon you want at the beginning not just the Pokemon in the top slot in your team.

I guess it's possible, but I think the developers are going to stick with the original style of pokemon battling.
They've been asked stuff like this before and said no.

I haven't played Stadium, but if you can choose your pokemon after your opponent send his, then that's never going to work.
Otherwise, there is an option like that in PO, where both trainers get to see the other trainer's party and choose one pokemon to open the battle. This will perhaps be an option with PvP battles or tournament battles, but for NPC, I don't think that it's necessary.

Jerry pretty much covered what I think. Also Jerry, I believe the stadium games have similar ways of choosing your starting pokemon before battle.

I think that if you send out any pokemon then wheres the challenge in type difficulties i remember on fire red i kept forgetting to change charizard with my vileplume in mountains and hoping that you will get the type advantage against all type trainers :P

Yeah in pokemon stadium you see the opponents team and you get to pick the first pokemon to send out.
I agree with you about only using for pvp though.
