You can be sure on one thing;

It will be calculated and made the same way, as the latest Pokemon game for Nintendo DS. (Platinum, Heart Gold and Soul Silver at the moment.)

Remember that in PU you won't be fighting the brutal 5 in the Pokeleague, but regular players just like yourself. Having ~10 pokemons to choose between will add a variation in your gameplay and may course confusion among your opponents on what kind of team to set.

If you choose to only use 6 pokemons all the way through, is fine with me. That is your choice.

It is of course just not only 1 quest but many, which can be avaible over leveling and time.

I liked a major part of it, but I don't see how we can make a cubone/marowak die tbh. Remember that this is also a game for younger people. I know that the dieing-part is the major-key issue of the story, so if you could find any alternative way I would be glad. (mostly because then it would be more likely that you'll see this questline ingame) :)

week 3 and we have some exciting new updates for you.

First of all, CounterBug joined as mapper on trial. We will see how he will do under the PU command.

The PokÉditor 3.0 is of course still in progress and we will make it public as soon as possible. Meaning that everyone who have a slight interrest in mapping can now try it out - for free. The public editor will not contain as many features as the one the PU-team members will use.

Please remember that the editor is still in development.

The BattleUI is comming out nicely. We have got ourself some floating text now and Mr_Dark is currently checking all (467) attacks for special stuff like multiple hits and so on. (list).
Please notice that the move Fling will not appear in the beta due to major work.

Urmel have changed the convo system to the one Bakagringo designed months ago and NPCs now have more functionalities like; give/take money and quest suppert has been added.

As some of you might have noticed, the karma has changed. You can read the thread about "why" here.

Another thing I was curious about involved Poisoned/Burned Pokemon. There were a few times, while playing the older Pokemon games, where I just won a battle and completely forgot about mi Pokemon ever being Poisoned/Burned.

Would it be possible to implement a HP bar at the top of the player's character that relects the HP of the affected pokemon.

Having a HP bar would save a lot of time and would be a life saver for those that are unaware ,or may have forgotten, about the affected pokemon.

If you look at the public screenshots that we have posted, you'll see your pokemons. Their HP and their status. (link)

What if our internet connection experiences problems during a PVP battle and we get kicked off the game? Will the server recognize that as quitting and punish us?

Double punishment infact - for having slack internet. :)

Your question is quite interresting. We'll see what we can do.

Everybody plays with Platinum Mod.
And sorry, I meant priority move insteed of revenge move  :-\
So yeah, Bullet Punch is not used because of its type. Its good if a pokemon could endure with few hp. You shouldn't leave out, mate, that Dynamic Punch only has 5 pp.

And yeah, I Machamp's other moves can beat Yanmega. I meant that its the only pokemon you can switch in Dynamic Punch without high damage. And everybody, who is able to predict well, will switch to a pokemon, which is resist to rock moves (stone edge).

No he does not.

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Dynamicpunch
- Stone Edge
- Thunderpunch


As far as I know. Machamp can't learn Bullet Punch unless breed and by luck have the steel move.
Also; Bullet Punch is not a revenge move but more a "I hit first so you faint first" move.
Remember that it is a steel move and thus effective against ice and rock. Both inwhich you have covered with the Dynamicpunch (fighting).

If you want a "revenge move" I suggest payback which is good against psychicks types. One of Machamps weaknesses.

So the only staller is Yanmega.

Yanmega is weak to:
Electrick: Thunderpunch (it is flying) 2x dmg
Rock: Stone edge (it is flying and bug) 4x dmg.

Back on topic:
My team would consist of randomly picked and über trained pokemons.
