Just discovered a band called Supercar. They've absolutely blown away my mind.

No problem. Just look up studio ghibli films. They have a lot of quality of stuff.

I already live for Ghibli. :P

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is without doubt my favourite anime and just movie of all time. I highly recommend it. :)
It's definitely an amazing film. However, it's just slightly behind Hayao Miyazaki's work. I'd highly recommend you looking into:
Castle in the Sky
Spirited Away
Howl's Moving Castle
Princess Mononoke
My Neighbor Totoro

and his many others. I'm sure you'll love them.

I've seen Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke (love then all), and I know I NEED to watch My Neighbour Totoro hehe. Haven't heard of Castle In The Sky though. Will check it out. Thanks. :)

I'm afraid not, m'friend. It's actually my gamertag. I was originally going to be called Drunken Hunter, inspired by Brad Wong from Dead Or Alive, but it was already taken, and so I mixed it with my love of steampunk, and got Clockwork instead. :)

As far as I know there's no thread like this already.
Post the track currently on your player or in your head! :)

As for me.

Shall consider it. :) I won't be around much this weekend but if it hasn't progressed too much by the time I get back I'll hopefully join. :)

So I'm really big on a lot of Japanese musicians. Composers, producers, performers, the works.
Figured I'd make a thread for people to list loads of music for everyone to check out. :)

Susumu Hirasawa is a composer and songwriter who I'm sure many of you will recognise for making the music to a lot of anime such as Paprika and Millennium Actress. Epic.

Polysics are, quite frankly, an INSANE synth-punk-rock band who are awesome. Check them out.

School Food Punishment are a post-rock and electronic J-rock band with some incredible technical ability. The only word to describe these guys is 'epic'.

Shugo Tokumaru is an eclectic songwriter and composer notable for using a huge fuse of genres all in one. He also makes very 'childish' melodies. It's best you hear it yourself to know what I mean.

Melt Banana are a noise-rock band. They are... loud. But so cool. Crank your speakers up for this one.

Gackt: Do I even need to say anything about him? He's awesome.

Hatsune Miku is a synthetic vocal synth that has been idolised by a lot of Japan. A Vocaloid program used by a lot of incredible musicians and producers, so many that she covers almost every genre out there. More Miku here.

Nobuo Uematsu is a legendary composer and producer who composed the music for almost (if not all) the Final Fantasy games, and has done a lot of work with Square Enix. He is also in a band The Black Mages.

Kiyoshi Yoshida is a composer most notable for writing the soundtrack for the anime The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, which is an absolutely phenomenal anime and soundtrack. Absolutely gorgeous.

That's it for now, but I'll post some more when they come to mind. :)

Hey, everyone. I'm Clockwork Hunter. Old school player of Yellow, Red and Blue.
I'm rather musical in real life. Just a piece of useless information I figured I'd throw out there. ;)
And I'm not one to go into IRC a lot, but may pop in every so often.

Anywho. That's me. Ta-da.

Oh yeah and it's my birthday on Sunday, so like, give me stuff. Cheers.
;)
