Queue good times. Psychic vs. Psycho Shock is... an annoying choice. One counters the usual switch ins to a Special Sweeper - Blissey and Snorlax, the other however hurts Conkeldurr more. With Flareon boosted to be faster than Jolteon, the only catch is, you have to put out as much damage as you can before you die of Toxic damage - or, before you're forced to switch out, and try again later. For anyone who doesn't know why, Baton Pass switches you out according to your speed / priority - so, it can be used to Scout really well - as Baton Pass will always move after a Pokemon Switch (which has higher priority). This lets you see who's switching into Jolteon while effectively switching Jolteon out - but you get to choose who you switch out to, after you see who they switched to. So pretty much, it's a double switch in your favour, so if they switch in Swampert, you can immediately switch in your counter without giving him a chance to set up. So yeah. Standard Jolteon is Standard. Url of Discussion Topic: http://pokemon-universe.com/index.php/topic,2627.0.html

Belly Drum, don't die, get the Salac Boost, sweep like a Boss. Get walled by a Steel. Die. Just kidding, late game this thing was a terror - and it will be in PU too. Example SetSafeDrum @ Salac Berry 116 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 136 Spe Gluttony, Adamant - Belly Pound - Extremespeed - Seed Bomb - Gunk Shot / Shadow Claw Explanation of SetThis set is like the previous one, except you only lose a quarter of health when using Belly Pound. It assumes that your opponent will hit you as you Pound, taking you to the Salac Boost. This set is a little more reliable than the other, but, only gets 4 stages of increase. Example SetNoDrum @ Life Orb 200 HP / 252 Atk / 56 Spe Quick Feet, Adamant - Belly Dance (Shift Gear) - Extremespeed - Seed Bomb - Gunk Shot / Shadow Claw Explanation of SetThis set has no risk - well, aside from using Linoone and taking a turn to set up, but even saves you a whole heap of Speed EVs and lets you take some bulk for your trouble. A +2 Linoone with 56 Speed EVs reaches 500 Speed, just more than a +1 Garchomp. This should be satisfactory more often than not. If you want to invest more though, you can outspeed +2 Gyarados and Blaziken with 104 EVs and a Jolly Nature. Food for thought. He can switch in on nearly any Special hit, and Thunder Wave to slow the Pokemon down. After this, if Noctowl is low on health, he can Roost up until he's safe, or just switch out to Roost later. Will-O-Wisp is great to shut down Physical Attackers, while Toxic works best for Bulky Waters. Night Shade is useful if you get Taunted - and if Noctowl feels safe, you can try it to lower the enemy's HP a bit. Url of Discussion Topic: http://pokemon-universe.com/index.php/topic,2614.0.html

This is perfect as a revenge killer, or if you manage to switch into a Ghost or Ground move. Use your attack of Choice (getit?) and smack womanes down. The final slot is variable. Quick Attack can revenge slower priority users, Knock Off can be used to make switch ins cry, and Pursuit will probably kill the enemy Pokemon if your opponent tries to save them. Hone Claws with just one physical move? Wut? But, when you do a double take, you see that, Hone Claws also increases accuracy of Blizzard and Hydro Pump. Wuh-oh. If you can be taken down to Salac level, and have Hone Claws up, this Monkey turns into an absolute monster. SpA and Atk EVs can be shuffled to create different hybrids, or you could swap Blizzard for Focus Blast and Brick Break for Crunch - but I know which will take down a certain Special Wall better. Crunch helps with bulky Psychics and Ghosts. Url of Discussion Topic: http://pokemon-universe.com/index.php/topic,2634.0.html

It can use Megahorn to punch holes in the opponent's team, Aqua Jet to revenge, or clean up - and Encore / Toxic to counter walls and set ups. Amazing! Its current learnable Gen V TMs Its current learnable Gen V Tutor Moves Earthquake Rock Slide Egg Move Edits: None Example Set Mixed Serperior @ Life Orb 252 Spe / 200 Atk / 56 SpA Contrary, Naive - Leaf Storm - Hidden Power Ice - Rock Slide - Earthquake Explanation of SetThis set is dangerous. Rock Slide and Earthquake cover you on the Physical side, while Leaf Storm and HP Ice cover you on the Special. Your goal is to Leaf Storm up, and, if the need arises, use Physical attacks to destroy their counters. Rock Slide covers most types that resist Grass (Bug, Flying, Fire) and hits Ice for SE. Earthquake takes out annoying Steel and Poison types, while Ice covers Skarmory, Dragons and Grass types. Example Set Supporty @ Leftovers 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 Def Contrary, Timid - Light Screen / Reflect - Glare - Taunt - Leaf Blade / Energy Ball Explanation of SetSerperior has great support options. This set is very bulky, and is a great switch in to set up Screens for your next pokemon, Paralyze the Pokemon, or Taunt them to stop them from setting up. It makes a great lead. Pretty simple. Feraligatr has the Speed of Gyarados with this set, and likely even more power - at the expense of being less bulky. Example Set Surprise Choice Scarf! @ Choice Scarf 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP Sheer Force, Adamant - Waterfall - Ice Punch - Crunch - Earthquake / Superpower / Outrage Explanation of SetThat set's just the other one with a Scarf! You say - and, yes it is. Where this one differs however is that you're trying to bluff the Dragon Dance. Play this as you would normally, but when you switch it in, your opponent will expect a Dragon Dance and switch to their counter - and then you can hit them for massive damage. This lets your Empoleon serve as a pivot, as it should hit the enemy Pokemon very hard, allowing you to hopefully finish them off with another switch in. Surf vs. Scald is a choice here. For maximum pain, take Surf - but if you can burn their Physical Attacker, Empoleon will only be able to switch in more. Example SetBulky Sweeper @ Life Orb 88 HP / 252 SpA / 168 Spe Torrent, Modest - Agility - Surf - Ice Beam - Grass Knot Explanation of SetThis set functions somewhat like the previous one - but instead of just whacking your opponent silly, this one takes hits less well, but with Agility, can become a fearsome sweeper. 168 Speed EVs allows you to outspeed maximum base 130s with Agility, and from there it's go time.
