So im sat here wondering how old the people who will be playing this game are or will be when its released.
I started playing the pokemon games back when the EU red and blue came out and Ive had one of every gen game released since.
Whats got me wondering is if most players are younger and newer to the pokemon games or a little older so we can see what kind of atmosphere the game will have for the most part.
Appologies if this has been done before. I did a search but found nothing.

Seems like most of the active forum members are at least 14-20 years old.

Have been playing since I got Silver back in 2001, but started watching the Anime in 1998... We didn't get a working TV with the channel it aired on before that...

The first Pokemon game I played was Pokemon yellow on an original Game boy. A relative gave it too me. I still have the game, and my original save file is still on there. My team on that thing is pinser, charizard, Blastoise, Snorlax, Venasaur, and Pikachu. I could never QUITE beat the elite four. Memories...

I think this game, like any other Pokemon game, will play people who grow up with Pokemon. So that would be 14+

Yes i understand you. It would ne great to pick up someone older then characters in Pokemon games.

Lol but in the game you cant even tell your a kid until you battle even than once the pokemon comes out you don't see the avatar.

I tried to make mine (avatar) look older than a 10-year old... And to be honest, Ruby looks more like a 13-14 year old than a 10-year old...

Im 12 1/2 but i love posting. ive been playing pokemon for like 6-7 years now, my first and best game is fire red. im really passionate about gaming and my mom and dad says the japenese have a hold on me ::)

Wow, pretty neat, I'm 17 and I've played since Red/Blue as well. Seems like my generation is the majority of the players here. No shame in that, I'll be a fan for life.

10-year-olds aren't really used to the internet at their age.

It would be interesting to do this same kind of poll but break each year (age) down individually. Thanks for making this, it's nice to know I'm in the company of people my age. Plus all other ages! :)

What do you mean we can't 'except' 8-year-olds here? They come here if they want, and if they behave, it's all for the better for them. Because we seriously have had older people and way worse than younger people I know. ::)

I agree Jerry! In my online gaming experience It's always been the older players that tend to cause more trouble then the young-ins.

Yeah, I have noticed that the new Pokemon shows are on once a week, while Almost Naked Animals has taken it's place in the after school cartoons... How sad.

P.S. My Little brother is 7 and he's a Pokemon freak like me so in a couple of years when he learns how to play Pokemon the right way, I might teach him how to play this game =w=

I'm 24. Actually just turned 24 in January. I believe Mr_Dark did as well. I've been playing since Blue, my first Pokemo remember I never changed out my starter. So Charizard was level 80+ before I fought the elite four. All my other Pokes were 40-60. Lol. Memories.
