I guess there's a new Pokemon game being released on October of this year for the Nintendo 3ds, the water starter sucks! ;w; but the Legends look kinda good ._.
Click here (http://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct/archive/01-08-2013/) to watch the Pokemon Direct,1/8/13.

And in brief:

I'll do you one better, here's the trailer. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=WNr6wQfNfK4&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DWNr6wQfNfK4
As long as they don't mess up the 3D battles, what could go wrong? It actually looks pretty awesome.
-
Nah, the trailer has an end, whereas those gifs don't.
And so many amazing fan art going everywhere! I wouldn't want to flood the thread...
Also, the 'X' pokemon has 'x' eyes. http://25.media.tumblr.com/a11ac433909b0625e84513a1f03f8b28/tumblr_mgbf6ciFho1rsvgaao1_500.gif

I really hope this turns out well, because so far it looks awesome.
-
Another version to take money from our pockets...
Sigh...
-
I love it! I can't wait for it to be released! xD
The grass one looks so cute =w=
-
October! And there's probably be more leaks until then.
-
October! And there's probably be more leaks until then.
Yup! I wanna see Froakie's Evolutions, if it's still ugly I guess it's poooooooop to me ._.
Chespin looks like a grass version of Oshawott xD So cute =w=It's probably the one I'll be picking or Fennekin
-
Nah, Froakie's not so bad.
I also have the feeling it evolves when a pokemon uses Sweet Kiss on it xP
-
Lmao, yet another gen where I get my starter and put it straight into the box as soon as I get my first pokemon. Why don't they ever make starters as good as the original 3? :(
Game looks great though, can't wait to get it. :D
-
I'm not all that impressed with this game XC Like I said before, Poison's still the butt of all Pokemon, and it's on a 3DS, no less.
The game style seems interesting, I do have to admit, but I'm a bit unimpressed with the name. There better be a good reason for it, or I'm just going to have to say it doesn't seem worth it XC
-
My body is ready. c:
Isn't there already a Vulpix?
-
Right now my only actual hope that they introduce a normal eeveelution >.>
-
I'm excited for them. I even like the starters this time :D Hopefully we will get the full Pokemon list released before too long.
-
Not too crazy about the main character. Also, when I hear the titles, it makes me think of the sex chromosomes, X & Y. Possibly something to do wih more gene splicing if that's the case?
-

The first generation starters are my second least favorite starters. I only dislike generation 5 more lol xD

NRight now my only actual hope that they introduce a normal eeveelution >.>
Lmfao wtf Meowth, Eevee is normal... they don't need anymore, they should make a Ground/Rock or Ghost one though Or Poison... ._.
-
.....Pssssst, roloc, You guys should totally balance eevee.
-
Oh wow I hope they release specific gameboy 3ds's for these games :D I would love to get one preferably Pokemon X I like the way that one looks
-
This was very nice to wake up to :D
I already went out to see if I could pre-order... The gamestop employee looked stupid at me.
-
lol I am definately going to be preordering this! Never played black 2 or white 2 but w/e idc this one looks like it is going to be fun. This is their first step to having The elder scrolls graphics put into pokemon!! :D They are getting closer and closer to the ultimate pokemon game.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you pokemon fans who don't want new pokemon games.
I agree that the starters are a little lackluster, and not all that appealing at all, but the legendaries are beautiful and I'm really excited to play this game.
Edit: Also, I just realized something. The X and Y made me think of a 2D graphing plane. Well, X, the deer-looking one, is a pokemon that walks on the ground, like the X plane being horizontal. The Y pokemon, the bird-thing, can fly, similar to how the Y plane is vertical. So there's my lame little easter egg for you all.

hah, right on the nose, Darkstar ;P I think 5th Gen was enough. But to be honest, I'm starting to gain interest in this new one. I won't buy it though. I'll probably just watch one of my (non-existant) friends play. Remember, I suck at Pokemon, and I'm poor ;P I like the flying Legendary that was presented, but not the Deer-looking one. XC I've had enough of Deer and Space Goat nonsense.
Oh. That Easter egg ._. I get it now ._. That's actually kinda clever. But it's math XC
-
So which version are you guys considering getting? I'm going with Y.

I thought the same thing lol
-
damn already, i still can't name more than 5 pokemon from the black and white gen now theres even more to remember. In all honesty heart gold and soul silver had the best graphics. These new "3D" gen games look like crap because of how pixelated they are. I wish nintendo wasn't so behind on graphics.
-
yea indeed it does look very pixelated or w/e. Also the way they run looks a little retarded but maybe when it gets closer to october they will make it look prettier. Please remember that everything they released in those videos is prolly still being tested. So it isn't a finished product. I think.
-
Froakie looks like it might evolve into a flying/water type (clouds around its neck) if so I hope its like the "balloon frog pokemon". Like a big round ball shaped frog possibly? I can only dream because I am pretty sure I know how it wil turn out! The second evo will be a awkward teenage boy looking huminoid pokemon , think lombre!! The last evo will be a tall skinny frog with clouds on its hands ,and around its neck. It will be hunched over ,and have a pedofile look to it. Probly looking alot like Jerry Sandusky but instead of white hair it will have a white cloud on its head. I am bothered just thinking about this!!!
The fire type might be cool if they go for a elegent look like ninetails. It will be ruined if they keep the extremely large eyed prissy look the first evo is using. Snivy also had the prissy look ,and its last evo was very meh. Anyway I am hopeful for this one!
The grass one looks like a possible fighting/grass type. Who knows I do not have much to say about this one.
I am proud of them for not making another very large bulky looking dragon legendary as the main legendary. It looks like the deer will be grass possibly steal/grass. The other one looks like a fire/flying maybe fire/dragon. Either way I bet the red one will counter the green one hard.
Despite my comments sounding negative I can't wait to see more! Maybe they will release even more super op hard hitters that out shine many last gen pokemon -_-
Edit: Froakie sounds like a insult to me! Like go away you Froakie! IDk I will definetly try using it like a insult in rl.
-
Game looks pretty cool, I actually liked the graphics of the original games but that's just me. In my opinion, I think the grass starter might be a ground/grass, hopefully the fire will stay pure and the water would most probably go for water/flying. The legends are awesome and the X might be water/steel and the Y dark/fire which I would like.
-
So which version are you guys considering getting? I'm going with Y.
Edit: Also, I just realized something. The X and Y made me think of a 2D graphing plane. Well, X, the deer-looking one, is a pokemon that walks on the ground, like the X plane being horizontal. Are you sure you'll get Yveltal in Pokemon Y? :P
-
BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta have more bugs!!!
No more bug/flying or bug/steel though mmk? kthxbai.
-
BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta have more bugs!!!
No more bug/flying or bug/steel though mmk? kthxbai.
Yeah xD Maybe Bug/Ice or Bug/Dragon... Dragon bugs ._. Would look like Flygon... xD
-
A fast Fighting/Rock type would be awesome (especially if specially oriented) though that's probably not gonna happen.
Maybe a non-legendary Normal/Psychic (besides Girafarig), Fire/Dragon or Steel/Dragon is not too much for asking this gen?
Also, some more variety in the Grass, Ghost, Dragon, Normal, Electric and Bug departments would be nice, since they tend to go in the same direction each gen (with the exception of Bug, which mostly have lower stats overall, and Normal, but they could use a solid counter for fast fighters/priority moves).
-
I'm telling you. Spookeon should be ghost/normal.
-
I'm telling you. Spookeon should be ghost/normal.
That would counter fighting types pretty hard. They all like: Take this b*tch, High Jump Kick!!!, and you just switching to your ghost there ;)
-
Which ever one is going to have the Pokemon X aka the deer /stag or w/e in it is the one I wanna get :D
-
They better put in more dark types, and touch on animals they haven't put in. Like a mosquito, and a wolf. Zoroark is disapointing mostly because it's a fox. We don;t need more foxes, we need more wolves, and maybe a couple of bugs.
I'm going to buy one of the games, not sure which, but I will trade it in if the fire started evolves into another Fire/Fighting type.
-
I pray it isnt a fire/fighting :(
-

I never actually said I want Yveltal, I just said I wanted version Y. XD
-
I'm really hoping for more type exploration. There aren't a lot of Ice, Dark, Ghost, Steel or Dragon pokemon, and there are some type combinations they haven't tried yet.
While the graphics quality isn't fantastic or anything, I'm really excited about pokemon using 3D models instead of sprites for this game. I think it makes the battles feel more alive, like there's an actual fight going on.
-
I just realized...IT IS FOR THE END OF MY KIND. *3D battle models* *not sprites* *what do I like to do randomly? Splice* *What can I not do with models?* *Splice.*
-
I have also been hoping for a ghost normal ,but it will not evolve from eeve being the other evelutions only have one type.
I just realized...IT IS FOR THE END OF MY KIND. *3D battle models* *not sprites* *what do I like to do randomly? Splice* *What can I not do with models?* *Splice.*
I do not like the 3D thing very much either. If they are going to get away from the old pokemon art style , atleast make it look beutiful!!! It is also going to be strange looking at a site like serebii ,and seeing 3D models on a site that the 2D ones fit so well.....

Well we have dog pokemon if that makes you feel better. There are only 2 fox pokemon though ,so I do not see how its a problem if we have 3. They seem to be a BUNCH of peaples favrite animal , so if they want to please peaple they made a good call on the starter.

*drools*
-
Gosh dying to see more of the new pokemon! You know what just hit me? Maybe they will be rock/grass fire/eletric ,and water/flying. You know like the grass starter being able to kill the fire one ect. I feel like they tried that in gen 4 as well.
Anyway my new guise is grass/rock instead of grass/fighting. Still thinking the frog will be flying though.

woah guys go and read this!
edit:I know this prolly isn't really why they made the games or w/e but it def is interesting to think about :P

This is my favorite theory by far: http://www.kimikogaming.net/pokemon-x-and-y-yggdrasil-myth-points-towards-pokemon-z-and-a-legendary-dragon/

This is my favorite theory by far: http://www.kimikogaming.net/pokemon-x-and-y-yggdrasil-myth-points-towards-pokemon-z-and-a-legendary-dragon/
Ahh now this I like! Definetly feels legendary!
-
I knew i would find something about the new Pokemon games that are coming out on this site.
Anyway, Pokemon X and Y look interesting with the 3D battle type thing, like in Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD gale of darkness with the battles. i just hope the storyline is awesome :)
-
I imagine that the storyline will be great, as usual. I also find that lately the stories have becoming a little more complex and slightly more mature.
-
Storylines are great? Probably will get flamed for this but... They are the same damn thing. Over and over again. Sure, the teams get a new name, and a new plot, with new legendaries. But that is all.
Rant over.
-
Ah, I kind of see what you mean. I see it a bit differently, but I do agree that each story's formula is pretty much the same.
-

I did feel N's story was more mature ,but the formula are the same.
-
Well, if you read all the stories of the world, I'm sure you'll find every new story you read the same if you are seeing it that way.
-
I thought White and Black and the sequels were all a big step up in story, but they still need more work. Hopefully they will improve with these next versions :D
-
I've been looking up theories on YouTube about the new Pokemon games, and I found one in particular that's caught my attention.
If anyone here has seen the video trailer, then you probably noticed it starts out with the trainer looking into a mirror. There's a theory that this means the possibility of character customization. Now the male trainer looked the same throughout the video, but this could just be default.
This is only a theory, but I thought I might as well share it for those who don't know about it.
Roller skaaaaaaaate
-
*rips walls down* THEY need to send out more updates on the game!!!!!
-
It'll probably be a while. They announce the game, and then we won't hear anything for at least a month or two, if not longer. Some of the reasons the US (and other countries) get info so early before pokemon games are released is because the Japanese versions are out by the time we get all the info, which obviously comes from the already existent Japanese games. That won't happen this time though, what with the international release.
-
awesome it reminds me of how the xd gale of darkness battles looked just with better graphics
-
Even though I think some people already said it, which starters are you getting, if you already know, and why? I'm not positive yet, but I'll most likely go with Finnekin. I've almost always gone with fire, as it is my favorite type, but I also like how Finnekin looks. I want to see all of the evolutions if possible first, but I also think it would be cool not to, and be surprised by what the starters evolve into.
-
i think i would like chespin, and maybe froggie, i usually prefer water tipes but i think chespin seems interesting... and has you say...we should see whats the evolution of all of the starter... also i think froggie may be a water psick pokemon....
-
Complete 3d... pikach was the sweetest looking pokemon on the trailer to me hope aerodactyl(my weak fav) ninjask(my trusty sidekick) and dnite(the god of mixed atking) is in the game.
-
I really hope it is a variety of the pokemon instead of just the new generation....Would be nice if they did it like it shows in the trailer... A lot of the older gens look available to catch. Even if it isn't all of them it would be nice to have a variety.
-
This might be the nostalgic in me, but X/Y makes me cry a little on the inside... top-down view changing to this wild concept of 3D..
:'(
I don't like it one bit I say! Other than that, love seeing new Pokes. ALWAYS.
-
Ehh, it's gonna evolve someday, y'know?
-
Ehh, it's gonna evolve someday, y'know?
Yeah... where's an Everstone when you ACTUALLY need it, huh? ;p
-
Ye I will miss the way the other gens looked , the 3d looks silly! I wish they would have made the 3d game for the Wii U ,and kept the ds game actully looking like a pokemon game :( .
-
Well, if it's so bad, simply don't buy it and don't play it :-\
-
Well I think it is a step in the right direction. To be honest. Sure the old birds view 2D sprite thing was cool and all. It was just so unrealistic..... In the TV show when they went to a town. It was more than 3 houses. Almost all of the towns had hundreds or houses or buildings. Well twenty or so on some. They are trying to make the game from what I have seen. As close as they can to the anime. Which the 3D thing is just another milestone for that idea. A lot of people have put it out there. "Pokemon game + elder scrolls graphics would be epic." I have heard that phrase so many times. Which in reality it would be awesome to go into a forest. Look around and actually go in the trees. See Pokemon wondering around. Be as if it was truly like you went on an adventure for real. Experience Pokemon like Ash has. But with a bit more common sense obviously lol. I understand that the Oldstyle is fun and I don't disagree. But I can also see how outstanding the idea of going 3D can be also. Sure the first one looks silly but keep in mind. It is the first one they have tried this with. Of course there is going to be screw ups. Hell going on the 2D games. going from the original Jap Red and green. All the way to Black and White 2. The way they present the game has drastically changed. I am sure the 3D versions will too. Just gotta give it a bit more time.
-
i've seen pictures on Gamestops website while i was looking for B&W2 so i could be able to add it to a list of games i want. at school i missed basket ball try outs so... i getting me a job -_- so ill probably be able to get Pokemon X&Y i never really played a pokemon game on a gameboy or DS
hopefully i'll be able to get it looks good to
-
On another topic of X and Y. Do you think there will be new eevee evolutions? Also any speculation of what you might think they will put in? A ghost type? Dragon type? Who knows?!?!?! To be honest I hope they do put more in. I <3 the Eeveelutions!!!!
-
Honestly, I doubt it. I guess it's possible, though. Not sure whether or not I like the idea.
-
Honestly, I doubt it. I guess it's possible, though. Not sure whether or not I like the idea.
Actually. Every other generation, we get one, so it's entirely possible.
They are also doing a new eevee mini movie, and each of the letters were representing a eeveelution. Except. There was one extra. Coincidence? I think not.
-
Now that you mention it......Yea I think that is planned that way :P
-
*watches as they unload all the rest of the Eeveelution types at once in this PokeDex update*
O_O
Gimme dat action (>'-')>
-
What Pokedex update O.o???? The movie? Or just in general lol...
-
Doubtful.
Everytime they've made more, its been in two's.
Gen 1:Original.
Gen 2:Espeon and umbreon.
Gen 3:[none]
Gen 4:glaceon and leafeon.
Gen 5[None]
Gen 6:Hopefully: Spookeon and poiseon.
-
Spookeon and Poiseon are rather retarded names. I seriously hope they come up with something better than that.
-

Yes yes they are, but I had no other idea XD

-
LOL... some of those eeveelutions seams of of the particular style of the actual ones... but the ones from the las picture seems really fine... hopefully they make a great eeveelution for this gen... maybe a ghost, a rock or a ground may be fine
-
A better question would be to how they implement the Eevee-evos this time around, as they add a new evolution technique with each one it seems.
Although my vote would be a Ghost type with a Latin based name like Animeon, whereas Anima is the base which means 'soul' (yes it looks silly)
either this or Poison type with a name like Contageon, built off of 'contagion' or Miasmeon, off of 'miasma'
-
I know Roloc would prolly freak out if they came out with a Bug evo :P
-
(http://24.media.tumblr.com/659b68bc18c75fa3707492b849830be8/tumblr_mi3ae9hqwR1qe93k3o1_500.jpg)
"Ninfia, a confirmed new Eeveelution!"
Please be normal, please be normal, please be normal...
-
I can't say I didn't expect new Eeveelutions, there's a new one or two every even numbered generation.
-
Well the first one looks like a definite normal type. I hope the second is a bug type. :D
-
YAY NEW ONES YAY YAY YAY!!!! :D :D :D
Where did you find that pic at?
-
Looks like a weird cross between an Eevee and a Milotic. It might be normal, or something unexpected. Probably normal.
Another thing to note is that even though they are being released at the same time in the same countries, they might alter the name a bit, like Tetsutarja and Snivy. But at least we know for fact what it will look like.
-
Was about to post that lol. I think it could be normal, possibly even flying. I think the in-game version looks better than the drawn one, though. Did anyone hear therumor about the new 18th type, dubbed "light"?
-
Light and Sound types have been going around for years. I kinda doubt the makers of pokemon (like many other companies) will listen to the fans. It's all just rumors and theories. But I still like to hope for a new type.
-
I agree. While I think it would be cool, I don't think it will happen.
-
HAH!
IN YO FACE PEOPLE! I TOLD YOU IT WAS COMING, AND NOW ITS CONFIRMED! HAH!
"Ninfia or Nympheon is the first of two Eevee evolutions to be introduced in Pokemon X and Y. Much like Umbreon in Gen II was one of the first known Dark type pokemon, Nympheon of Gen VI is one of the first Light type pokemon. Much like the Dark, Pyschic, Fighting and the Grass, Water, Fire trinities, Light pokemon complete a trinity with Dragon and Steel types. As when Magnemite and Magneton retroactively had Steel added to their types, most of the Fairy egg group will have Light added as a secondary type, such as Chansey, Audino, and Clefairy.
Thanks to Tinsares for digging into the official pokemon X and Y website source code for this."
Here is a clearer version of the other picture.
-
Untill it comes from a reliable source I'm still skeptical. But if it is indeed true then I am all for it.
-
Just one thing if it is true...
Does this mean I have to go make a light type team and test it out as soon as you putthem on the server for use? :I and are we going to have to update or anything?
-
IF it is true then:
Sure, if you want to.
The DB will be updated so you will have to update that. The client will remain unchanged unless something major happens and there is a need to update it.
-
Ugliest eeveelution I've ever seen.
-
Yeah, I personally like Eevee and its forms, this evolution not included.
-
OI! OI! OI! Why is it that pretty much every Pokemon of gen 6 we've seen:
People:ITS UGLY.
Me:But...but...*goes to corner of shame* I liked it...
-
I didn't absolutely hate it. The drawing, I don't really like. At all. The in-game pictures seem OK. I like pretty much all other Gen 6 stuff though, but I'm not crazy about Froakie, but I don't mind it that much. It isn't too bad.
-
I´m with them... its the ugly one of the evelutions... but i really want to see how it is in the game... and how strogn the light type may be.... but i really think it will be a hig PS pokemon... it may have some good moves...
-
So many haters :P
-
I actually like the way it looks... Not as much as the others.. But it does have a certain charm to it that I like. I just wonder what they are going to introduce into the game to cause eevee to evolve into this. Light stone? lol level exactly at noon? :P who knows. Maybe they will introduce a fairy forest in this one. To go along with the light type. Maybe this forest or cave or w/e will finally reveal the mystery behind the clefairy?!? Of where they come from for real! Or has that already been solved... IDK I haven't watched too many of the anime episodes because it is rather sickening. Especially with best wishes 2. What a shocker on what happened to Ash.... HAH not... Every season they always have him get all 3 of the starter pokemon..... and 95% of the time they don't evolve..... Like wtf... Ash must be one crappy trainer.. But back on topic.... Kinda got off topic there. Since this does look like it is going to be a light type like everyone is saying. I wonder if truly they will come out with a sound type? There is many moves in pokemon that involve sound. It is a possibility. :D

*Faints from the pure awesomeness of this eeveelution*
If the light type comes to Gen 6, The moment I get this game & get an Eevee, I will find a way to make this happen. Besides, it's a Cincino in Fox Forme!

I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT LIKES THIS EEVEELUTION!
-
Is the light type legitimate?
I'm really against adding a light type to the game. It just doesn't seem necessary.
-
We don't know yet. Untill it is from a reliable source just assume it's not.
-
I actually like the way it looks... But he didn't get all of the starters in the Hoenn region seasons, he got Treecko. Brock got (I heard you like) Mudkip, and May started with Torchic.
Sinnoh set he got Turtwig and Chimchar, Dawn had Piplup.
Another thing, as with explained by Bulbasaur of his first set, and Pikachu, some starters just maybe refuse to evolve.
-Hate to be 'That Guy' but when haters hate, Anti-Haters gonna argue back :p

Ok lol maybe he didn't have all of them or w/e but they could of did something different for a change. Cuz he had super crappy luck with starters not wanting to evolve... lol
Like I said I haven't watched all of them or actually don't remember much of them I should say. It would be nice though if they would do him like a normal trainer for once. He could get one of the starters and have the rest other pokemon to mix it up a bit... But of course he would have to go through his amnesia stage first we all know it will happen if they make a new season. He becomes mentally retarded for about 20-30 episodes. Pikachu gets switched out with a level 5 one lols.
EDIT:: Just so everyone knows The actual US name for that new eeveelution is Sylveon
-
I Liek It.
-
It has been announced by The Pokemon Company that it's names are as follows:
Japan: Ninfia
US: Sylveon
Germany: Feelinara
France: Nymphali
According to CoroCoro, more secrets will be revealed next month.
-
Read somewhere that Sylvia or something like that referred to the forest, so it may be a bug.
-
It's a new type, a movie type! There was a 1965 movie called Sylvia, so... just kidding, that'd be odd.
-
I can't wait till they finally reveal what it is 100%
-
Oh, but the US female name Sylvia means "From the Forest"
-
Told ya so.
-
Not trying to be mean but that thing looks nothing like a bug :P lol
-
Namesake. Glaceon. Flareon. Espeon. Umbreon. Leafeon. They all go back to names, lol
-
It's eyes look bug-like. The rest of it however, does not.
-
Maybe it will be like Sudowoodo? or w/e its name is. Look like a plant but is actually rock lol
-
Well, people's been saying around that it's flying, since 'sylph' relates to air. Seems plausible to me.
-
That does seem logical. I would imagine either that or bug, but it does look more like a flying type.
-
Meh to me they are using the same concept as chansey/ jigglypuff/ clefairy and such the whole Pink normal type thing
-
I doubt it'll be normal. After all, if people want a strong normal form of eevee, they could just level up eevee.
-
Yeah...but eevee right now isn't balanced, and cant e used competetive. an unless someone makes a good point about it won't be balanced.
-
Maybe it is a bubblegum type? :P
-
Read somewhere that Sylvia or something like that referred to the forest, so it may be a bug.
It might also be referencing the name 'Sylph' which, in itself, refers to a Wind spirit common in RPGs as Jerry said earlier. Or it could be Flying or as stated earlier a 'Light' type. Or maybe we're just grasping at straws and it's actually Steel type somehow. o.O
-
Namesake. Glaceon. Flareon. Espeon. Umbreon. Leafeon. They all go back to names, lol
It could be namesake still. If light type pokemon are coming to fruition, then my guess would be Sylveon plays on silver... as in shiny... as in light.
I know its not completely thought out, but there are some names in pokemon that in the english translation I just think...REALLY?!?!?
But with the ribbons and what not, its a good chance for normal or flying is my guess.
-
Not sure if these these scans are showing real pokemon from the game or extremely good fan art... Not sure but it is nice to look at either way :P

http://youtu.be/u_QhEZJq7eI
This one I doubt is real at all... Just someone with alot of time on their hands lol
http://youtu.be/C02yV1S3Yxo
-
for me, its a really good worked fake, if you see the first video info, it says that is from the february 2, and in the video it says that the scan was made february 4, so its imposible to upload a video of data from the future LOL. Also, if you look the day it was uploaded to youtube, it says its from february first. the second video is from the same uploader so i think its fake too, also it was upload a day o two after the first one.
-
Erm, those are old news, but... the scan doesn't fit Corocoro's magazine design at all, the japanese is apparently pretty bad and the artists admit they're fake: http://fav.me/d5tj13w (look in the comments)

I'm keen to see if this has any truth to it.
Spoiler alert!

Guess we'll see around March 15th.

Miss Wednesday and I seen that a little while back. I personally hope it's fake. I really don't care to see either pinsir / heracross pre evos. I'd be all for an evolution to each though. Just don't see a need for pre evos. It just adds a definite pokemon that I won't use.

All I can say is October isn't getting here fast enough lol

I think it's fake, I can't imagine a water/fire Pokemon. ._. but we'll see C:
-
I honestly thinks it's fake. Some of the names are far too similar to other pokemon, are a combination of multiple pokemon's names, or are just to uncreative.

I'm not gonna defend the 4chan post, but uncreative...? Hello Persian and Spheal? Maybe even Shield-on would like to join the party too.
-
Pidgey wants to come along!
-
Oh, I know that some pokemon names are already far too simple, believe me. For example, take Cottonee. Some of the names here, though, are just as bad, if not worse, and there's a bunch of them. For example:
-Jacoq: Worst pokemon name I've ever seen. Also, take the name Jacob, rotate he "b", and viola. And what could the pokemon possibly look like, some random guy named Jacob?
-Dogsnout: No. Just no.
-Locast: Actually almost clever, but then again, they're just changing one vowel in a word. hen it's bug/dark, which doesn't make much sense. A bug/water is what would make the name clever (Locust + cast, as in to cast a fishing line).
-Whirlihog: While it seemingly makes sense, I just find it too close to Whirlipede. And I just don't see grass/flying, but it could work.
-Lagoom: Another example of changing 1 letter.
-All of the Shamroc line: Very simple, 2nd and 3rd forms only change 1 letter from original word, and Iwish contains no creativity whatsoever.
There's more, but I think you get the point.
-
I'd just like to pout out ekans and Arbok.
-
I think it's fake, I can't imagine a water/fire Pokemon. ._. but we'll see C:
I had a bit of a revelation thinking of the rumor of them incorporating Sound/ Light types: Xerneas looks like a Light/Grass type, while Yveltal might be Sound/Flying so I imagine there's a 4-way cycle of weaknesses here
Light>Sound>Flying>Grass (Imagine as a circle);
Light is faster than Sound
Soundwaves knock Flying types down
Flying already beats Grass
Grass/plants absorb light.
On another note...
This is kinda what I had in mind for a Flaracuda Water/Fire pokemon or it's pre-evolved form. It's based off of the idea of a barracuda and the fact there's underwater volcanoes. I imagine some Pokes would live near/ around these areas, so yeah :p

I doubte sound will be a type. Light makes alot more sense to me ,and sound is just kind of....boring? Not much can be done with sound , and it would be hard to convert many pokemon to sound. Light would be pretty easy to change some pokes types to , either that or maybe some pokes will get light evolutions?
-
Where is everyone getting all these good memes? >:
Anyhow, I wouldn't be surprised if they made a light type, I mean come on, the proof's in the pudding.
There's about five reasons why they would add light(IMO):
-When they released Pokemon Gold and Silver, they made a new type because this was a big step for the Pokemon series, getting it's first extension. Now they are releasing the first PORTABLE 3D Pokemon game, which Nintendo has never done before. This makes it a similar event as when they added dark, so it would make sense they would make a light type for an event like this. (Not to mention it's going to be internationally released with no delays.)
-Look at Clefairy and Jigglypuff and tell me why they aren't good candidates.
-Why else would they show the Pokemon, but keep it's type a mystery? It can't be a normal type, because it would be pointless and silly, not to mention even Nintendo wouldn't screw up that badly(hopefully).
-It's name can be interpreted as many different types of fairies, the most I've heard are like forest or lake spirits. Though one of these may hint at a different type, it always comes out as fairy, and the first thing I think when I hear the word fairy is an annoying, distracting, useless little B- *ahem*, moving on.
-All Pokemon have that little feature that makes it scream "HEY DUMMY I'M A _____ TYPE!!!". This Pokemon doesn't seem like any type I've ever seen, which means it has to be a new type. But there's no freaking way that it's a sound type, just NO.
Well there's my rant, I'm done here. :B

Not true. I wasn't sure what the in the flying chansey Dunsparce was.

-When Gold and Silver were released, pokemon was still very new, and it was its first ever sequel. Due the fact with pokemon being still fairly new, it was easy to just add in another type.
-Sure, when new types were added, magnemite and magneton had steel added to their typing, but there are much more pokemon now than there used to be, and so you'd have to change many more pokemons' types than that, and adding a new type could throw off veterans and force them to change their strategy altogether.
-They don't want to reveal too much. It's good to have some surprises and it keeps more people interested in the upcoming releases, and I do believe that it was said that its type would be revealed, assuming you're talking about Sylveon.
-You mentioned the word spirit, which, just saying, fits ghost more than some "light" type. Also, when the average person thinks light, things that may come to mind include good, heroic, holy, happy, nice, etc., and annoying, distracting, and useless don't fit the characteristics of light.
-When I see Gyrados, for example, I think water and dragon, not flying(it also has quite a bit dragon type moves, much more than it can learn flying type moves. It also learns what I believe to be 3 dragon type moves while leveling up, but not a single flying type move). A pokemon's looks and even movesets don't always exactly follow its typing. And as for looking like other pokemon, still assuming you mean Sylveon, it resembles jigglypuff and wigglytuff a good bit, especially the coloring and the eyes.
Not to be rude, but when you think about it, your five reasons don't really make much sense.
-
Oi, there's a theory I saw somewhere, that:
A:Sylveon's a normal type, and
B:it's female only.
It also says that the other Eevee for this generation, would be normal. And have more of a black and blue and red color scheme.
Also, I'm expecting a lot of gender specific pokemon this generation. Why? Think about it. X and Y. DNA. X and Y chromosome. Just. Just think about it.

Wheres the thumbs up button when you need it!!

Honestly doesn't surprise me, I tend to not make sense when I'm up til one o' clock in the morning. I swear that I feel drunk when I'm sleepy, but I don't want to get drunk so I cant really make a comparison.
The truth is that it can be pretty much anything, though if it's not a new type I can see it as a normal type. I think that the point I was trying to make is that a sound type is ridiculous and will never happen. If not, I don't know where I was going with that.
EDIT: And yes, I'm talking about Sylveon. I don't know what to make of it.

I agree as well here.
Earlier when I said something about the 4-way circle of Light/Sound/Flying/Grass, it was just a theory behind the Pokemon team's designs. To add on, I would believe Sylveon to be a Light type and here's a few reasons;
1. Its color scheme is pretty different, as the other Eeveelutions are pretty obvious what type they are, as this isn't.
2. The developers are keeping it's type a secret, when they could have just revealed it as they revealed the starters' types (but those are pretty obvious anyway).
3. When they've introduced new Eeveelutions, they came in pairs in which 1 type will have advantage over the other and following my 4-way type advantage wheel it would make sense to add in a Sound type Eeveelution.
-Why not reveal the other 'Sound' Eeveelution, you ask? Well, Sound in itself would have a pretty obvious design, if being designed for an Eeveelution, and therefore wouldn't be revealed until it was relevant to do so.
Again this is just a theory I have, for if they indeed are developing more types. I myself don't believe in it, it's just a possibility
-
Well, allow me to break this down once more.
1. There a plenty of pink normal types with that color scheme, i.e. Igglybuff line, Miltank, Clefairy line, Lickitung line, Happiny line, Snubbull, Porygon line, Skitty line, Audino, and there's also a pink Deerling. Those large, round blue eyes can be seen on several of these pokemon. It actually seems pretty obvious.
2. See my second point from earlier. Plus, as you said, the starters typing was obvious, but that's only for their primary type. There is a good possibility that the starters will at some point in their evolutionary line be dual-typed, and those second types have not yet been revealed.
3. Introducing 1 new types seems unlikely, and so 2 new types is even less likely. Plus, normal types have a weakness, which is called fighting type if you didn't know. Reason for not revealing this fighting type one? See #2 above. The first three eeveelutions did not come in pairs, as it was a set of 3, and Flareon was not super effective against any of the other eeveelutions at the time.
-How do we know its typing would be obvious if a so called sound type existed? We probably wouldn't that the type actually exists, and Sylveon's type apparently isn't obvious to some people like nearly all eeveelutions are. And when would it be "relevant"? They could reveal what pokemon they want when they want, and nothing controls how much sense the timing of the reveal would make.

Fenror, I'm so glad you felt like making these posts.
I agree with you 100%
-
Fenror, he divorced me because he wants to marry you, thanks for ruining my life by making that post. </3
-
I agree with me 100%, too! ;D
And besides, what are all of these claims and theories of new types based off of? ONE new pokemon, not to mention the first official non-starter/legendary from the new generation, that looks an awful lot like a type that already exists, which as I've clearly stated is normal. I'm not saying it's normal, but if I had to bet on Sylveon's type, that's where my money would be.
Oi, there's a theory I saw somewhere, that:
A:Sylveon's a normal type, and
B:it's female only.
It also says that the other Eevee for this generation, would be normal. And have more of a black and blue and red color scheme.

I do kind of like this theory, though. I understand it's purely speculation, but out of all the theories I've heard about the new pokemon, and eeveelutions specifically, this one actually seems the most logical. I'm not saying it'll happen, though.
You're welcome! And it was 2 posts, actually. XD

I do kind of like this theory, though. I understand it's purely speculation, but out of all the theories I've heard about the new pokemon, and eeveelutions specifically, this one actually seems the most logical. I'm not saying it'll happen, though.
You're welcome! And it was 2 posts, actually. XD

I think it would be easy to create a sound type. It would be easy to identify pokemon to the sound type. The iggly family, possibly clefa family, snorlax could be partial sound, yanma family, whismur family, maybe audio and meloetta both forms would be half sound.
As for moves...there are tons of moves that can be turned into sound type. growl, screech, supersonic, yawn, snore, sing, perish song, roar...and i know there are many more.
Honestly, I'm less convinced of light type than sound type. Although honestly I think they need to wipe clean and restart every pokemon in type evaluations. I'm sure that someone has said this before, but Gyrados comes first to mind.
-
Well, allow me to break this down once more.
Here's my counters to your points here:
C/1. Just because pink is a bunch of Normal type pokemon's color doesn't necessarily mean Sylveon would be Normal type; look at Milotic, it has pretty much the same same color scheme as Sylveon and is a Water type. As well, most of the aforementioned 'pink' Pokemon belong to the 'Fairy' Egg group, I'm pretty sure. Who is to say they won't add the 'Light' type on to these? considering the only weakness being added would be 'Sound' type as I mentioned earlier. But also if it was so OBVIOUS it's supposed to be a Normal type, why wouldn't they have just revealed Sylveon's type?
C/3. If you had read my point earlier, you would have noticed that I said 'When they introduced new Eeveelutions', meaning after the first generation's initial 3. Where is this always a type and it's weakness, but they aren't weak back and forth.
C/-. Is it obvious that Leafeon is a Grass type? or Glaceon an Ice type? Flareon = Fire? My point here is that Eeveelutions have always been extremely obvious what type they take after. If the Sound type were to be released, they would give it away by showing the Sound-type Eeveelution, which in its obviousness would have some sort of sound device relation like that of the Whismur line.
-
If I recall, I think the whole sound thing was Bing's way of trolling some people on the PO server months ago, along with his fabled silk and laser types.
As for the light type thing, I have my own theory on it, and it involves looking at the legends. Both obviously are supposed to represent DNA, but there is on other thing about them that shows them to be opposites. The Y legend is red, while the X legend is blue. Unless my science is off, those are exact opposite colors of the visual spectrum of light, anything lower than red going into infrared, and anything past blue heading towards ultraviolet. These visual ques might indicate a new type introduced into the game. The X legend looks like a dark type, while the other doesn't seem like a water type, or even a grass type. It might be the light normal pairing as the first theory of the light type explained. Again, just a theory, but also seems sound. Consider what nex said, it is the first portable 3d pokemon game, and could mean that a new type will be added, and that type may be light. Or we can all be wrong, a new type is added, but it's something ridiculous. Who knows, only the guys programming the game, and we don't really have to wait that long to see what's up.

*Sigh* let's do this again, shall we?
1. Well, for one, Milotic's color scheme is actually fairly different from Sylveon's. There is no pink on Milotic, it is red. DOn't believe me? Check bulbapedia: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Milotic_(Pok%C3%A9mon). Milotic's body is a much creamier shade than Sylveon's which is almost white. Plus, Milotic contains a more medium blue coloring on its tail, while Sylveon has mostly a very light sky blue. As for this fairy egg group, you just helped me to further prove my point. Sylveon's name translates from the Japanese name (which is the original name, mind you), Nymphia, which is derived from the word "Nymph", which is similar to a fairy, and so therefore it would fit perfectly into that egg group of NORMAL types, which, as I've already said, share the same coloration as well as some design
aspects with Sylveon. Also, who said that they are indeed adding any more types, specifically two more types, which you think includes sound. If light type would even exist (which I've given enough reasons to show that it likely will not), who's to say that some other type that already exists won't be supereffective against it? Plus, you've indicated that its only weakness would be sound. The problem with this is that it would have no interaction or strategy in dealing with any types other than sound, making it pointless to add the new types in. I've also stated more than once a simple reason for not revealing Sylveon's type yet.
3. You said "New Eeveelutions", and the first three were new at the time of their announcement. And if you want to bring up the type advantage thing again, Normal has a weakness, which as I've stated, is Fighting. So, to support your theory, there could be a fighting eeveelution, assuming that Sylveon is indeed Normal.
-Once again, as I've said before, once you think about it, all signs obviously point to Sylveon being a normal type. Additionally, as you've pointed out far too many times, Sylveon's type has yet to be announced, but since you say that the eeveelutions' types are so obvious, then there really isn't even a need to announce the type. You are once again assuming that two types are being added, but say sound was added. There are even less pokemon that can easily become sound types than normal types, and I would go further, but I'VE STATED ALL OF THESE POINTS BEFORE.
There are so many more points I can make, but you provide no new argument for me to spend my time presenting these other points. Speaking of which, I'm not trying to be offensive, but I'm almost starting to think you're trolling about this. All you've done, for the most part, is restate statements that have already been proven to be invalid, while completely ignoring the arguments of others.
EDIT: I also noticed you keep mentioning your type wheel, which showed that grass is supereffective against flying. Hate to rain on your parade, but the opposite of that type advantage already exists.
-
Maybe everyone is wrong and there is no second? And the reason they didn't reveal the type is because they was too dumb or drunk to put it in yet? It could just be they are trying to drag this out on something they have ran out of ideas on. lol
-
I think it's fake, I can't imagine a water/fire Pokemon. ._. but we'll see C:
I had a bit of a revelation thinking of the rumor of them incorporating Sound/ Light types: Xerneas looks like a Light/Grass type, while Yveltal might be Sound/Flying so I imagine there's a 4-way cycle of weaknesses here
Light>Sound>Flying>Grass (Imagine as a circle);
Light is faster than Sound
Soundwaves knock Flying types down
Flying already beats Grass
Grass/plants absorb light.
On another note...
This is kinda what I had in mind for a Flaracuda Water/Fire pokemon or it's pre-evolved form. It's based off of the idea of a barracuda and the fact there's underwater volcanoes. I imagine some Pokes would live near/ around these areas, so yeah :p
Look again, there's nothing to the effect of me saying Grass beats Flying type, Fenror. And i take it offensively you are calling me a troll, where you obvious don't know how to argue properly. You keep saying over and over that you think, and that you assume that Sylveon is a normal type, and yet when i present new information on my points you feel the need to not prove anything more and call me a troll, without purposely saying it to my face.
You also claim that I'm basing this 'THEORY', (go ahead and go back and read, as you kept telling me to) solely on Sylveon and it's supposed type. When you look back, you'll indeed see that I'm basing off of the revealed Legendaries, and what types they could possibly be. Your only true argument is that because previous Normal type pokemon are pink, you assume (and is apparently obvious) that Sylveon is Normal.
And that link to Bulbapedia you posted for Milotic, there's nothing on the page showing Milotic or it's colors. And I'm comparing the 2 pokemon because they have 'like' color schemes.
-
Ok, calm down. I said the wrong thing about the type advantages. I saw someone say something similar somewhere else, and I got it confused with this.
And argue properly? There is no right or wrong way to argue, and I do assume that these things are true based off of already concrete facts and evidence, and until anything is officially announced, we can't truthfully say we know what is going on. Also, you mentioned the legendaries once, and then focused mainly on Sylveon, so that is what I used as a basis to debate. Speaking of Sylveon, I gave more than one reason why I believe that it may indeed be a normal type, certainly not just based on color, and yes, as I've stated, to me is does seem rather obvious that Sylveon would be a normal type.
And I'm not sure what's with the bulbapedia link. I just checked it and you're right, it didn't work, but I copied the url and even tested it before posting it here.
This was meant to be more of a friendly debate than some heated argument, and you need not to get so angry. I was merely providing my honest viewpoints on the entire matter, and if you don't like debating, then you didn't have to keep responding to the points I made.
-
NOW CALM DOWN WILL YOU? Everything is goin to be fine. Remember people, WE ARE PURELY MAKING/DISCUSSING THEORIES.
-
Speaking of which, I still particularly like the one you posted earlier this week, Meowth. It is one of my more favorite theories aabout the new Eeveelutions that I've seen so far.
-
Your link to bulbapedia is correct. Just add a ")" at the end. For some reason it got cut off.
Anyway, every new gen there are tons and tons of theories and people saying "This IS going to happen" on many many forums. The sad truth is, no one knows crap about what they are going to do with the game. Simple as that. I have been around for each and every one of them and I have only seen maybe 1-2 theories be true, and they were only mostly true. This is why I just wait for what they release. Some theories are fun to read though. Others are out right stupid.

Well it's hard to let others know your theories when some decided to make counterpoints and purposely call out your theory and inject their own and try to make you believe them. Seriously, calling me a troll indirectly was uncalled for, I'm excited as much as anyone else about new Pokemon and I only get into heated arguments when people start getting truly vulgar to me.
-
I don't think you understand. It's over. The debate ended. Chill out.
-
Am I going to have to separate you two? Because f you keep this up, I will turn around the car, stop it, and throw one of you Into the lake.
-
I'm pretty sure some of the Nintendo guys are laughing at how those debates about Sylveon are developing on the multitude of sites discussing it :P
-
lol i not gonna give my opinion since it got heated xD im just gonna say i wished i waited for it a bit longer cause Fennnekin is the only fox starter i will ever see. Ever.

I honestly think that the first move she used was Aura Sphere. May be off, but that's what it looks like to me.

I'm not really sure about that, but the last move was definately Swift.
-
I saw something that I thought looked like Air Slash, but also I looked at it more, it seemed to have like a deck of cards symbols (spades, hearts, clubs, diamonds) so I thought it might be Trump Card also.

It was Trump Card.

You sure that wasnt something like focus blast? Cuz I thought aura sphere was more white or silverish or w/e
-
News: the show Pokemon Smash this Saturday will release another pokemon from X/Y
Mewtwo is getting a Forme change! (possibly)
-
I also heard something along those lines as well. I heard that more X/Y news is coming next week. Hmm, I wonder what this pokemon could be? It'd be pretty cool if it was that other eeveelution we were sort of speculating about.
-

It looked a little too small to look like Focus Blast, imo. Then again, it could be a new move (hopefully).

Yes, updates!!! (though I hope the Mewtwo rumor is false).
-
Yeah there was an issue of CoroCoro with details on the next movie of 'Extremespeed Genesect vs. Mewtwo' and shows somw awkward Mewtwo forme...thing.
It looks ugly imo
-
That cover was modified. It's supposed to be a normal mewtwo. So the new mewtwo form is false.
-
Good. >:l
That Mewtwo was frickin ugly. Tail sticking out the back of the head...ugh
-
Well. the new Mewtwo form is true, was watching a stream of the new pokemon smash episode. aaaaaand its mewtwo.
WHY NINTENDO. WHY MUST YOU BETRAY UUUS.

-
It isn't officially confirmed as Mewtwo yet though, if I read correctly.
And ah, you beat me to posting the pic. I think that's the second time this has happened lol.
It does certainly look like a Mewtwo-ish thing, though.
EDIT: Nevermind, I think it was confirmed to be Mewtwo. The article I read wasn't written well.
-
They updated the official site with him.
http://www.pokemon.com/pokemonxy/en-us/
Its...Its mewthree I think..
-
Ugh, I think so. If it isn't Mewtwo though, then I personally don't think it looks that bad. I just don't think it looks enough like Mewtwo to be another form. Mewthree seems highly possible (although I'm not too fond of the idea), and that's what I get from its description on the link you just put up. It seems like the descriprition tends to lean toward the fact that its another separate pokemon, not a form. So I agree, I think it may be Mewthree.
-
I DON'T CAARE ITS MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! feed me mewhatever!!!!!!

Oh well.
On another note, why do people hate it so much? Doesn't look THAT bad and I can see a pretty nice story about it going back to when team rocket was experimenting on Mew. It could be an experiment that didn't get destroyed in the fire that mewtwo caused or something.
-
It's not so much I hate it, it's that I was expecting something bigger. Like. Like sylveons type.
-
It's not that I hate it really it's just... ugh... I would personally prefer the fan creations. It's just that it looks wrong to me, like the designers decided to put Mewtwo into a blender just to see what happens. Not my favorite and I probably wont use it, but who knows, it might grow on me when the game's released... I just don't know. :-\
EDIT: At the very least, we also know of some more Pokemon appearing in the game.
-

All i get is an 'oh well'.. i see how i is! D:<
Well, it's design isn't bad, I just don't like tail-thing sticking out of the head... it's just so unnatural looking! Then again... Mewtwo isn't exactly 'natural' to begin with
-
another name they got lazy with xD well i hate to work there i can't make up good names :P
-
I felt kinda stupid about names... as I just recently found out Purrloin is named after the word 'purloin'. That...not sure if brilliant thinking, or lazy creators.
-
i think they got lazy with Kling,Klang, and KlingKlang
xD i wonder whats gonna be the names of Gen. 6
-
Chair, clouds, cow.....etc etc
-
I cant wait for the new game to come out. i especially want to see that that mew2/ kidd buu like pokemon is.
-
errr i think its a real pokemon i don't know
I FORGOT TO MENTION IN YALL FACES
fox starter ftw :D
just hope its not an fire/fight with its last evolution xD
-
I cant wait for the new game to come out. i especially want to see that that mew2/ kidd buu like pokemon is.
It's Mewtwo going into a Pokemon version of 'Super Saiyan'. It's what the next whole movie is about.
Also if interested here's a video of both Mewtwo transforming and a little Sylveon action-teaser.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTyPZGdEyyc&feature=player_embedded (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTyPZGdEyyc&feature=player_embedded)

lol can't wait xD
-
That sylveon thing....... Judging by the frame they put her in it looks like a flying frame ,but like everthing about this pokemon it could be 3 other things! Some are saying bug ,but that would be like "Yes my cat is evolving! Oh nice it turned into a bug?". If it is flying that will not bother me ,but I am sad that they only released one evelution.
-
actually some ppl might prefer it's only 8 because it kind of makes it even number out of it i don't know some probably was looking forward to another eeveelution
-
I was looking at the Prism Scale the other day, and was wondering if it has anything to do with Sylveon. The color scheme is similar, and had to wonder as well, when you get multiple Prism Scales in Black/White and so far it evolves just a Feebas. The most curious part to me, is that it says that 'certain Pokemon evolve' with it, in the context of more than 1 pokemon, or else it would have use text like with the Magmarizer saying 'loved by a certain pokemon'.
Even if it isn't linked to Sylveon, I would like to see it used for other pokemon anyway.
-
a scale on Sylveon? xD
that wouldn't make sense to me xP
since you can already get a Vaporeon with the waterstone
-
You can also get Flareon and Jolteon with stones. While I doubt that the scale would be linked to Sylveon, that would be pretty cool. They would not have created it with Sylveon in mind though, as the scale existed long before Sylveon was created. It was likely made with Milotic's color scheme in mind, if anything. I would like to see more uses for it, though, and as you mentioned, its description doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
-
wouldn't surprise me if they made this one for it to evolve to trade it
-
A bunch of new info was just released yesterday and today. It includes the box art, region name and details, and a few new pokemon, including a mountable one that you can ride throughout one of the cities.
Here's the link to Serebii for easy access to the info: http://serebii.net/index2.shtml
-
The panda bear one is cute.
-
Cool i can ride my pokemon i can finally race on rapidash maybe i can even soar through the sky but that's unlikely but how cool would it be to have wild battles in the sky when you use fly.
-
Being that my favorite animal is a panda, I was happy to see that one. And Humen, while that sounds cool, the only thing that's been announced as far as mounts go is riding that Gogoat in one city.

;w;
-
nice but i don't think i'm gonna be doing anything with making changes on my character once i get it. xD
-
I only liked the bird...
-
I agree whatever X legend name is isn't really cool compared to Y
-
Being one who's likable to deers, I'm-a go with Xerneas on this one.
-
Ever since the games were first announced I like Yyveltal more than Xerneas. I still do.
-
I liked the deer one more imo
-
I like the deer aswell! I was so thrilled that the legendary is not a dragonish looking creature this time!
Oh what do yall think of the fairy type rumor? The rumor actully has some reason to it ,and this would explain why ninfeon's typing is still a secret.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rpyp0MHAO0k We will see!
-
I hope its not actually called fairy type that's just sounds lame
-
Didn't get to watch the video yet, so I'll provide my feedback later, but for now, I hope not. I still honestly don't think that any more types will be added.
-
Hmm the more I think about it the less I mind it. I hope togekiss is flying/fairy.
I would definetly pick up a fairy/dragon type, idk I just think it would look awesom.
Also hoping for a octopus ,and maybe a FAT frog. Actully I am hoping for alot of things.
Edit: http://pokebeach.com/ Is were you can read the new info fenror.
-
I don't like the sound of fairy I prefer light. And I doubt there be a fairy/dragon type since if the vid holds any truth then it be immune to dragon one of dragon major weaknesses and it would gain the dragons buff to handle those other weaknesses for the fairy.
-
i don't see any point in having a fairy type unless theres gonna be atleast 3 of them
-
@Vulpix mawhile, clefary, togepi, jigglypuff, and sylveon would all porbly be fairy type along with some others. Not to mention I am sure slyveon would not be the only new fairy.
@Humen We have pokemon with 0 weaknesses ,so that argument hardly holds water.A dragon/fairy would have 3 weaknesses. I was refering to the way it would look though. A dragon with butterflyish wings has always seemed charming to me.
-
All I see is flygon when I think of a dragon/fairy and what pokemon doesn't have a weakness
-
I hink I actually stated a while back a bunch of the logical rreasons why a new type is unlikely, although I don't think it specifically dealt with fairy. Not getting into that again, but I stilll say no, there will not be a new type.
-
Actually, let me link y'all to a theory, it has to do with the official pokemon TV show in japan, pokemon smash.
Okay, I couldn't find it, but I can quote one that has the same outcome.
Pokémon Smash
A little while back, Pokémon Smash had promised that they would give some sort of news about Sylveon, and they did not disappoint me.
After their normal anime re-run, they moved on to a segment on Sylveon where they were "testing which types Sylveon fits". Their findings were:
quote Pokéjungle
The hosts tested to see if Sylveon was Fighting – she failed.
Next they tested to see if she was strong against ice – she was!
She was strong against Ice, so they tested if she was Steel by using poison type on her – She wasn’t resistant
Now answer this: Do any of the characteristics fit any existing type?
The only four types that are super effective against the Ice-type are Fire, Fighting, Steel, and Rock. Flareon has the "honor" of being the Fire-type Eeveelution, and it has already been said that Sylveon is not a Fighting-type, leaving Rock-type and Steel-type. However, Steel was also ruled out, leaving Rock-type.
But is Sylveon a Rock-type? Highly doubtful. Is Sylveon a new type? Most likely.
So, fairy type could still be a thing. Not keeping my hopes up though.
-
As expected, it has been officially announced that X & Y will be shown at E3 (Nintendo is holding a conference there, just has a booth).
From Serebii:
As has been announced within their E3 schedule, Nintendo is due to have a special Pokémon X & Y Presentation/Q&A at one of the roundtables following their Nintendo Direct presentation. This Q&A is to run on June 11th at 6pm Pacific time within the E3 halls and will last 90 minutes. It is run by Junichi Masuda and Tsunekazu Ishihara, the president of The Pokémon Company. It is unknown if the content for this Q&A will be broadcast on the internet, but we'll provide details as it comes
-
Then our beliefs will be put to rest a little after that.
-
All I see is flygon when I think of a dragon/fairy and what pokemon doesn't have a weakness
eelectros(with a ability), sableye, and spirtomb all have 0. Besides it would still be weak to fairy, ice, poison ,and steel. There are TONS of pokemon with only 1 or 2 weaknes , so I doubte 4 weaknesses will make a op type combo.
-
Adding a new type would mess with the strategies of competitive battlers too much, in my opinion. I still say no.

I agree, but unfortunately we don't have a say in this.
-
Unfortunately not, or not directly, I guess. I believe that Nintendo watches out for, and likely not here, but overall, their fans' opinions. Anyway, time will tell. Regardless, I'm still pre-ordering Y.
-
well thank you fenror if we do have fairy types for my brain to hurt more when thinking even alot more to do with pokemon

HEY EVERYONE! FAIRY TYPES CONFIRMED, WATCH THE NEWEST NINTENDO DIRECT!
AMong the fairy type pokemon, Gardevoir, and a few others are getting a type change to it.
Also, it is super effective on dragon.
-
but y do they have to call it fairy
also y does mewtwo evolve if the really wan to copy DBZ then mew and mewtwo should fuse >:D
-
Erm...They never said he evolves, I'm expecting something like a different form, maybe even appearing in the new Super smash bros. to replace lucario, where Mewtwo and switch between forms like Zelda/Sheik.

I doubt their type is changing, prolly just adding fairy to it since the ones they named are single type pokemon. So Gardevoir will be psychic/fairy and marill will be water/fairy etc.

Yeah, I doubt they'll change Marill's type from Water to Fairy, man I want to use Marill on X&Y xD I hope Azumarill is Water/Fairy too! =w=

Okay, but at they should at least let Gardevoir keep her original typing and make her a dual type. As for Sylveon, She may give my Leafeon a run for his money, being it's my favorite, because this makes me friggin' want one over the skyrocket level. And also for Jigglypuff, I could see it happening, but you would think that Clefairy would be featured for obvious reasons. Nonetheless, this gives me one more reason to not worry about dragons that much.

That doesn't look like it evolved, it looks like a form change like Deoxys or something, but we'll see. C:

I agree completely, and thats what I meant, I just miss worded it, was kind of typing quickly as I wanted to see the rest of the nintendo direct as fast as I could.
-
Eh, not happy about the new type. Still getting the game on release day, but regardless, I honestly can't stand this fairy type. Only 4 confirmed evolutionary lines have it, and although I know that there will be more gen 6 fairy types, but still, won't they be outnumbered? Anyway, enough of my rant, I'm sure we'll all get accustomed to it eventually. I am a bit surprised that Marill has acquired the fairy type, though.
-
Marill is in the fairy egg group, with that in mind if they are going off what egg group the pokemon is in, it is possible that pikachu willl become electric/fairy because it too is in the fairy egg group. I doubt a type being out numbered is a big concern. After all Dargons were very very outnumbered for the longest time.
-
Ah, you've got a point. I suppose outnumbering wouldn't be that big of a deal. Also, I completely forgot about egg groups, my bad. I kind of hope Pikachu just stays electric, though. Just more of a personal preference. It is what it is. Not that bad of an idea, I guess. Still not crazy over it, although it'll probably grow on me over time.
-
I think if Pikachu was to become Electric/Fairy it would make it a bit better, but I don't think they'll change Pikachu xD
-
changing pikachu would be going to far he's the icon of the pokemon coporation plus a flying electric fairy mouse sounds absurd.
-

Flying electric fairy? not all fairy types fly, does Jigglypuff have wings? or Marill? O_o It would make it better imo because Pikachu sucks in the game. xD
-
Iconically, I think Humen may have a point, it may be going too far. Competitively speaking, though, I kind of agree with Miss. Pikachu really isn't that good.
-

Yeah, because a lot of people only like Pokemon because of the Pikachu in the anime, but I think that most of the Pikachu lovers are girls and I can see girls falling in love with fairy types since most of the fairy looking Pokemon are cute... I doubt they change it to Electric/Fairy but if it was to happen, Pikachu would be good to kill pre-evolved dragons, I doubt it could ever 1-hit KO a Dragonite or Haxorus with a Fairy attack xD

[/quote]
This actually makes a lot of sense. I could just see it bothering some of the other fans, being that Pikachu is the single most iconic pokemon. Either way, it really doesn't bother me too much. Giving it the fairy type could possibly present some interesting plot points in the anime revealing that, though.

Wwwwwwhhhhaaaattt pikachu is awesome heck i use a lvl 100 pichu competitively but i refuse to say how often it wins. also jigglypuff dosen't have wings but it can inflate its self like a balloon and marill well idk about marill.
-
Well my theory about Sylveon being a new type was correct at least. Just not 'Light' type as people claimed it would be called. Still curious as to whether there will be another Eeveelution released with it, if so Dragon type is the best bet.
Also, the types of Xerneas and Yveltal... would like to see those soon.
-
I agree, would love to know their types as well. I do think a dragon eeveelution would be cool, although if it could be any type, I would choose fighting, since when I go mono-type I usually stick with fighting (I actually use my mono-fighting on the regular, updated PO server more than my regular team). Ah well, as you originally stated, it is likely to be an opposing type if there is another, so if there's another eeveelution, dragon does seem the most likely. As far as names go, I would prefer a name like "Light" over "Fairy", but I think fairy makes more sense.
-
Ok, so fairy? ???
... I guess....whatever :-\
But I am more saddened by the fact that there is practically no hope for the sound type.
:-[
-
*Ahem*
The Sound type was created by one of our members to troll another member. He also brought in Laser and Silk types. Enough of those, now!
Now, on the fairies thing, I do like the fact that a new type was introduced. I don't like what the the type is, but I have yet to try it out, so my opinion might change on it.
The other news was the addition of some more pokemon, namely, a non legend Fire/Flying type called Talonflame (very creative nintendo). It looks pretty cool: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Talonflame_(Pok%C3%A9mon). The only problem I have with it is whether or not to choose that for my future team, or get a Charizard, or go with both for a Fire/Flying tag team.
-
Yeah i've just now seen it.
It didn't look to bad some of the others do look bad kind of to me.
Only a few pokemon would be able to fairy type moves i see.
Dragons aren't that big and bad now.
-
I don't see where dragons have ever been that bad. I didn't see the need for them to add another weakness to them. For the most part all you needed was a fast pokemon(or scarf) that could use a dragon or ice type attack. Even then those two attacks weren't needed that badly. Now back in the old days of gen 1, psychic types were pure monsters, their only weakness was ghost/bug types and the only ghost in the game was part poison which is weak to psychic and good bugs back then were pretty much non existant and the only bug that got a decent bug attack was part poison which made it weak to psychic. Now THEY needed another weakness, thus the reason dark types were added.
-
Here ya go Meowth, Fire/Normal xD
(http://www.serebii.net/corocoro6134.jpg)
-
So far, I'm actually pretty pleased with all of these new pokemon designs. I think I like them more than Gen V, honestly. Hopefully this trend stays.
-

I like a lot of the new ones, but this one is kinda dumb...
It's a Fairy type xD
http://www.serebii.net/corocoro6135.jpg
-
Yeah, don't care for that one too much. Being mostly mono-fighting on PO now, I'm really looking forward to seeing Pancham and its (hopefully) evolutionary line. Pandas are my favorite animals as well, so I really like that one. Fennekin better not turn into Fire/Fighting. We have enough starters that do that already.
-
It was released on a well known website that the final evo of fenniken was fire/psychic. Also I'll be sure to balance Pancham/evo good for you. :)
Of course I put hard work into all my balances. :D
-
I believe I heard that it was fire/psychic, and that's honestly what I expect. Although I always go with fire, if one is dual typed with fighting, I may go that route in order to possibly build a competitive fighting team in game. I'll see. Anyway, I may have to make my way back over to the balance server eventually. And of course, your balances are always good. With the introduction of fairy types, it'll be interesting to see how battle strategy differs. Speaking of battle strategy, what do you guys think of those new horde and sky battles. I think they're pretty cool.
-
I'm specifically looking forward to horde battles. Sounds like a 5x the exp. party to me. :D
Gotta make sure I carry lots of attacks that hit all pokemon. Surf, earth quake etc.
-
Seems like it'll add a lot of strategy to the battles. Being a fan of RPGs, I think I'll really like this one. Hopefully there will be moves to better counter those wide area attacks as well. Speaking of which, I'm also looking forward to seeing what new moves are released, both for fairy types and all other types.
-
I know right! they are releasing all these new pokemon but have only released 2 attacks. I want to see the new items / abilities / attacks. xD
-
Same here. I really want to play on a more competitive scale this gen.
-
I'm always happy to help with team testing if you need it. I have a large amount of teams available to help people test a team. (around 70 teams) 1 of each type(some tpyes have 2-3 teams) and then tons of random mixed teams and some gimmick teams as well like my explosion team and a team full of 4 choice bands and 2 choice specs. :D
-
Awesome. I'll probably take you up on that when I get back on the PU server.
-

I'm glad they came up with another counter for dragon types. It lowers the need of having a dragon pokémon in your team.
-
Some more news was announced earlier, which included a few new moves. Those pokemon we saw in those magazine scans were confirmed, as well as a few new moves. Noble Roar lowers attack, and there's also a move called Fairy Wind. There's a couple new bug types as well. All the news can be found here: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/14/new-pokemon-x-y-details-announced

is it a standard lower attack or does it sharply lower attack cuase if it doesnt ill stick with growl

We seen it like 2 days ago ._.

I know, I did as well, I meant that the localisations were announced today. I should have clarified, my bad.

I honestly see Pancham evolving into like Fighting/Dark, I really do. Mainly as it's the 'naughty' pokemon, but you never know. Could end up being Fighting/Fairy o_-
-
As of now, I personally don't see fighting/fairy. Fighting/dark would be cool, though. Maybe even fighting/grass? Just a thought. He could evolve to just be a fighting type as well.
-
THEY DID IT ERMERGERD
Anywho, what I'm talking about is a Ghost/Steel type pokemon and is a living sword based pokemon, who unsheathes itself :D
Name: Honedge from what I gather
-
Yup, came out a few days ago. Is a great type combo. We'll see.
-
im really looking foward honedge, and i hope it has an evolition line... but still i think its two tipes, will make Him get hit by normal and figther attacks, even thougth it wont be much painfull the normal attack, the figthing will kill it because is stell, it could be trobulsome (sorry the poor ortografy)
-
rajlev, the ghost type nullifies fighting and normal damage. that leaves the sword to be severely hurt by fire and ground. it levitates when in battle, so it may have the ability Levitate. This basically means that, as they are now, Metagross and Bronzong would have a tough time with it.
Also, since it is a sword, it will most likely be able to learn a lot of cut-based moves. It would be surprising if it couldn't learn Swords Dance, but what I'm hoping for is an exclusive steel move for it.
-
WOOOO Pancham's evolution has been reveled! its awesome, at least for me, and those you think it was a figthing dark type, you were rigth! also 2 pokemon more were reveled, both are fairy, a fairy bird for Y and a cotton candy for X, also Xenereas is a fairy type, and Yveteal is a Dark Flying type!
-
THANKS FOR SHARING US

Pancham's evolution has some great abilities, but it'll probably turn out to be too slow or not bulky enough for my taste (knowing nintendo and how they wrecked some great pokémon in the past).
I can see Litleo evole in a special version of Arcanine, so I'll just pray for that. I might even change types if they do that.
As a side note: Is it just me or are there more and more eatable pokémon out here (cherry's ,ice cones, cotton candy, )? It all started with farfetch'd though (almost became extinct from overhunting).
-
Looking at the pages of the corocoro I think the next evil team will be in orange business suits.

i have never wanted a panda bear this much until i saw panchama's evolution. Also did anyone else know noivern was flying and dragon

BulbaNewsNOW @BulbaNewsNOW
The previously rumoured Pokémon "Orotto" has been confirmed by movie-goers. Reports say it looks like an angry tree with spider-like legs.
Sounds a lot like cherrymon from digimon if you ask me. I guess they ran out of ideas and have to steal ideas now.
-
Ugh Cherrymon is so ugly! I hope it looks better than that.
Disapointed in team flare. Compared to the complexity of team plasma flare seems very bland.
I can't wait for a clauncher evolution ,wish clauncher's moves was not the same as all the other crustation pokemon move wise though. Maybe it will get its own signature move when it evolves who knows butswords dance and crab hammer? Were have I seen that before. Anyway clauncher is just so adorible here is to hoping evolving is kind to it!
I like the new bear as well! It will be a tuff call him or scrafty? I really like shed skin on scrafty ,but the panda might be flat out better. Really excited for stats!
-
I'm so unkeen on this new generation :(
-
Oh why would that be Monzta?
We will be getting sidewways movement and pokémon riding :)
And not to forget...my new beloved favourite :O Littleo shall bite you all, raawwwr.
-
Oooohh dear no Team Flare is here they will end up like Team Rocket,Aqua, what ever the other one was,Galatica, and Plasma.
Like any other team in Pokémon history.
-
vulpix the team your refering to is Team Magma. Team Aquas rival

Big news yall! http://www.serebii.net/xy/megaevolutions.shtml "mega evolutions"
Also check out http://www.serebii.net/xy/pokemon.shtml to see 3 new pokemon
I like mega-absol and mega-mawhile a lot. The ampharos one isen't as bad as some peaple are saying it is in my opinion.
The only thing really bugging me about these pokemon is that they are called "mega" instead of just using a new name or being called like absol-X. I think it sounds a bit silly to say "I love my mega absol!" "Mega absol use quick attack!". If I use any mega pokemon I will be renaming them to say the least. All in all this is a cool mechanic though!
Since blazekin is getting a mega I wonder if the other gen 3 starters will?
-
Oh, my. No, just no. Now this is getting ridiculous. I feel like pokemon is starting to go the route of dbz. Black 2 and White 2 had fusion, now we have pokemon "evolving" into a powerful form with flowing parts. That's pretty much going super saiyan. I will still buy the game, so my opinion might change, but for now, I don't like it.
-
Wow, gamefreak really truely is coping digimon like a mofo. First it was the pokemon tree coping cherrymon and now this. Mega digimon to mega pokemon.
Just....wow
-
I dont care what any of you have to say. I Love Mega-Ampharos >3< It's the first Electric/Dragon (because i think theres a difference with dual types depending on which one comes first but i cant remember but if there isnt he's still looks awesome as heck to me) although the fact that they all have mega before thier names to define the transformation is lacking creativity. at least agumons mega was called WarGreymon not mega-greymon -.-

Due to this mega evolution leak, who do you guys think is deserving of this? God help us all if we encounter Goddess Gardevoir.
-
Not to avoid your question, but to spin off of it and go in the opposite direction. I don't think it's fair that Blaziken got a mega evolution. Just for the sake that Blaziken is in a starter evolution-tier, regardless of how cool or uncool some people view that starter's evolution-tier, I just think now everything kinda loses balance with that reveal (unless every other starter will get a mega evolution, which then I approve).
-
It would be unfair if blaziken would be the only starter with a mega-evolution. Especially when he already was a problem when a lot of people complain about it being uber due the speedboost ability he got. It would be strange if they added the fairy type to balance out the dragon type and throw off the balance by adding mega pokémon without balancing them properly.
-
Awesome! Mega-Secptile! MEGA-Charzard! MEGA-SAMUROTT!

BulbaNewsNOW @BulbaNewsNOW
Mega Kangaskhan confirmed at Pokemon World Championships. Has the Ability Parental Bond, which lets it attack twice. (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BRUdK1UCQAEY4nW.jpg:large)
New mega kangaskan. That ability sounds soooooooo OP.
-
Well im sure the second attacks power would be reduced since its coming from a baby pokemon. I think its neat that kaginskan's kid gets involved in the battle instead of sitting in the pouch do'in nothing.
Gasp maybe this is how cubone learned to fight OoO
Also does anyone else think it be awesome to see mega ampharos riding on top of a zekerom raising a honedge in its hand with its new magestic hair flowing in the wind
-
Well im sure the second attacks power would be reduced since its coming from a baby pokemon.
It is possible that the second attacks power will be reduced but all we know for sure now is that it's a second attack.
Thus making it probable OP.
-
Holy cow kangaskan's ability O_o
-
I hope the Mega Pokemon are banned from tournaments, because Kangaskan's ability makes Pokemon like Shuckle look under-powered. ?_? Imagine if it had max attack and used hyper beam.
-
You mean Giga Impact (stronger than Hyper Beam since Kangaskhan is physically oriented)? Shuckle will be able to take 5 attacks without Kangaskhan's Parental Bond, so 2 or 3 if Kangaskhan's stats remain as is; and this assumes both have favourable natures.
-
I think mega pokemon would be in their own tier for tournaments and such. I wouldn't worry too much about them for PU, since we have a team of excellent balancers.
-
I think they can fit in any battles anytime. If it'll really be as they say it is, everyone can bring one MegaPokemon with them. If your opponent pull out one MegaPokemon you believe your 'ordinary' pokemon can't take, just pull out yours.
-
That's a possibility as well. But then it all comes down to whose mega survives, and bby how much. Plus, we have to take into account PO, showdown, and other sims that might remove that possible 1 mega only rule, which is why I predict a new mega tier in that sense. We seen mega mewtwo, so that may mean other legendaries will be mega, so add on a mega ubers and a mega ou tier as well. The actual games themselves would be where it really comes down to the mega that survives.
-
Well, why not? :P The outcome of pokemon battles depend on whose pokemon survives at the end, right? I don't quite see the issue here; you try to make the least of your pokemon faint anyway. Mega pokemon's got an edge, but that doesn't mean they can't be beaten, and I'm sure PU's balanced pokemon will make sure they're not invincible if they happen to be in XY.
-
There is no issue. Just saying there may be a possibility for a new tier. I'm not worried about the PU balance. They have done a good job on all the others, so they will do a great job on the new pokes.
-
Oh okay, for a second I was thinking you meant a tier in PU for competitions xP I was like "what!?"
-
Got to love miscommunication. I'm actually changing my opinion on mega pokemon. Just realized that means mega houndoom and mega sableye. So, I'm good with it so long as they don't end up looking stupid or having a strange ability that makes absolutely no sense.
-
It also means mega Golurk and Golduck! as if those two couldnt get more awesome! And blissey might become an even better wall then it is now :3
-
Yea, sort of a bummer most of the time Cortex :-\
Heh, we'll have to wait and see for the others. After all, not all pokemon are going to get mega evolutions!
-
Heh, we'll have to wait and see for the others. After all, not all pokemon are going to get mega evolutions!
And this is what worries me.
Kind of unfair that some do get mega forms and others dont.
Especially because as Cortex said, the balance team is excellent,so i suspect they are able to balance this mega evolutions, but they are mega for a reason, they have an advantage. So we might start seeing ALOT of the same mega evolutions.
And one of the reason PU's battling excites me is the fact that since everything is balanced, teams will be varied and unique. This mega's,ruin my dream :'(
-
Fire-type is confirmed to be resistant to Fairy-type attacks. Fairy types take neutral damage from Fire-type attacks.
A move screen shows a Mega Evolution button, which can be used to Mega Evolve the player's Pokémon. This is displayed when the Pokémon is holding one Mega Stone that it needs to evolve. Pokémon can use a move on the same turn as Mega Evolving.
Running is now the default; holding the B button allows the player to walk.
good stuff
-
Seems legit. At least one of my favorite pokes takes neutral damage from fairies. Edit: stupid phone and its T9 bull. Anyhow, I don't like that whole evolving during a battle, seems kind of off to me.
-
Adds more strategy to using the mega stones. Keep your opponent guessing on whether your using a stone or if your using focus sash, choice band, etc.
I like that you can choose when to use the stone. It's both good and bad at the same time. It lets the person using the stone choose when it would be most beneficial for them but it also leaves them open to the possibility that they would choose a wrong time or simply be slower then the opponent and would get OHKOed before getting the chance to utilize their stone.
-
Well I guese we will need to wait and seee exactly how it works ,but I am not sure I like the way they appear to function. Kind of wierd that they did't just make some of these evos. I understand why they might not want to add a fouth evo for a line ,but absol and mawhile? I hope this change will grow on me like 90% of pokemon do XD
-
Ur sharing no pls. Don't talk crap about mawhile.
Mawhile is baws.
And personally.
I welcome our new mega evolved overlords.
-
hey i just read fairy beats dragon, figthing and dark? and its weak against poison and stell, i dont know you but i kind of thougth it will be weak to dark...
-
I don't know where you got your info but I don't see that on any of the trustworthy pokemon sites such as bulbapedia, serebii, etc. So, I doubt it's accurate.
-
Meowth I meant it doesen't make sense why mawhile and absol did't just get regular evos. A better way to word the setence would have been " I understand why they might not want pokemon to get fourth evos ,but mawhile and absol should have recieved a regular evo."
-
Ah. Sorry. I think I was tired when I wrote that. Sorry the misunderstanding.

All I really care about is getting a fox starter xD
-
Nooo, those Kanto mega evolutions look awful! Well at least they showed us a new pokémon ;)
-
Blastoise looks awesome he literally looks like a tank but venasuar doesnt seem to have changed much and i'd prefer the normal charzard to the mega
-
Aha if my opponent has it I shall learn when to use and how to use it.
Those mega evolution look nice to especially blastoids and lucarios.
-
Venusaur looks like a walking jungle with those vines. Though the flower on it's forehead kinda ruins is... :(
Charizard looks even more like a dragon perhaps it's a sign?
Blastoise indeed looks like a tank. With arm cannons. c:
-
All I know is that Venusaur may be my only poison tank that I'll ever use, Charizard is becoming closer to aging, and Blastoise has just been made even more inclined to the Hydro Cannon throne. That's how I see it.
-
Charizard looks even more like a dragon perhaps it's a sign?
Nope, Mega-Charizard is confirmed Fire/Flying still. At least it'll be a dragon-like Pokemon actually strong against fairy type.
-
I'll reserve my judgement till I play the game, but my initial vibe over this Mega evolution business isn't good. I think the majority of the evolutions look bad and I don't think I'll like the added element they'd bring to a battle.
If Game Freak wanted to do something really awesome, they could have made a pokemon MMO ;)
-
*Ahem*
(https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/7782390016/h42060F1F/)
-
satoshi looks like o3o cool beard
-
That's funny. But do you not think a pokemon MMO would be awesome? If you don't...what are you doing on this site?
-
It would be awesome, but what they would haveto do would be a disaster.
-
I'd imagine it'd be quite a task.
-
Yeah, I would too. *WAVES HANDS AT THE POKEMON UNIVERSE LOGO*
-
*Ahem*
*picture*
He does have a point. Which idiot decided only the first generation should be available in FIVE REGIONS!? It's not like we have Polar bears on every place in the world. Do they really think it's logical for a wild lion to be in America while it's obviously an african animal?
-
arent thier mountain lions near the rockies? o3o and i dont want all first gen in 5 regions i want all gen in all regions in one game so i dont have to keep trading them over and not have the stupid high level pokemon ignore my commands o`3'o
-
I don't demand much from gamefreak. Just don't make it to where some pokemon are only available AFTER the E4. Hell, the games pretty much over then, I don't need those pokemon anymore. I get so tired of awesome pokemon only being available after you beat the E4 or so late in the game that you get them literally 20 mins before you fight the E4.
-
I don't expect much from gamefreak either. The consoles have serious limitations, which is why they can only put so much into a game. Gaming technology may be getting better, but the limits just get a little higher. That's where the PU team steps in. No fancy 3d, no gimmicks, and we at least listen and think about the ideas presented to us before we make a decision. But I do wish that gamefreak would make the higher levels a little more challenging, and stop requiring the other version of the game to unlock special features that are pretty useless anyways (stupid keys from black 2 and white 2, didn't need you to get all regis, and that egg spinning game from gen 4. What a waste of data).

With Azumarril being Underrated, it's gonna start kicking some ass.
Gardevoir has been Underrated as well, competitively. She's definitely gonna flutter her way up to Ubers because of this, So this is what I say to Draco Meteor, scizor, Weavile, and Frosslass:
Fall to Gardevoir! Fall!
Also, as for M-Garchomp: Cynthia better come back again, whether in the anime or the game.
As for the fossils: Tyranitar's name is now less valid.
That is all.
-

Fall to Gardevoir! Fall!
Scizor will still deal super effective damage to gardevoir. Fairy is weak to steel. So 1-2 bullet punches and gardevoir is dead, depending on the build of the scizor.
-
does fairy resist bug?
-
Yes, it does.
New info. Major competitive battle changes

Tons of new info has been leaked because a retailer in canada and one other country broke street date and sold a lot of pokemon x/y games. Feel free to search the we if you want to see it. If not, don't search for it cause it will spoil a lot of things.

Hi guys! here is the type Matchup chart from the official site! so yo can see all the changes.
http://www.pokemonxy.com/_ui/img/_en/art/Type-Matchup_chart_EN.pdf
-
I thought fairy only resisted dragon not completly immune. ALthough if u think about it putting a dragon against a fairy it would be alot harder for the dragon to hit the fairy then vice versa.
-
Humen, your thinking of fairy all wrong. Think of it more as a magical creature. Such as a troll or imp. Don't think of it as tinkerbell.
Though I have yet to see any cool looking fairy types.
-
Sylveon looks kind of cool. xD
Btw I wonder how can you evolve it.
-

What about the new eeveelution? Sylevon looks pretty cool.

Sylveon more of a cute pokemon then cool. Umbreon now thats a cool eeveelution
-
I use amphy constainly so I already know I have one pokemon that can mega evolve.
Looks like some kind of sheep god though. I.... guess. xP
-
Amphardo's mega evolution is based on Thor, so yeah he is. This gen is based on Nordic mythology, Xerneas is the god of life, and Yveltal is the god of decay; and I can't remember what gods the other mega evolutions are based on.
Edit: Lucario might be Loki...

They will be added eventually, though it might be in an update. It all depends on how fast PU comes out.

Which doesn't seem that likely since theres been no talk about a release.
Also becuase im pretty sure roloc or someones on whats the app for PO called. And is the server address different.

Those stats are crazy!!!
-
you can find the changes to old moves here:
http://www.serebii.net/xy/updatedattacks.shtml
I'm liking these changes. Though I could be biased because bug type moves got a good buff. Also that new bug attack is amazing.
It's like stealth rock but instead of damage, it lowers speed of each pokemon switched in. :D

This is the best joke I've heard in the past 2 hours.
-
Just been informed of a discovery where classic Pokémon stats have been altered slightly. We're still currently calculating base stats for the Kalos Pokémon, but when done we will be on top of this
Sooo some old pokemon could have a new base stat total.
Couple other new things:
Pokemon can now have 4 abilities. 2 normal and 2 hidden
PGL is not live and it tracks your every move on pokemon x an y. ._.
IT seems that female pokemon can pass down moves now. Good news for breeders.
-
So, this new balance of classic pokes. Do you think gamefreak finally got the message, or will their new balance be another OU nightmare?
Also, FOUR ABILITIES! ;_; I see so many crazy combos.
Also, noticed something with weather abilities, all weather now lasts five turns...... interesting.
-
Yup, I was talking about that the other day. GameFreak took a page out of PUs balance. But, they took it even 1 step further like bawses.
It ends in 5 turns EVEN if the poke that started it is still in. Weather teams JUST. GOT. OWNED!
-
So then gamefrak does know aboue PU and they're using the balancing methods to improve thier own game. the nerve.
-
Yep. Kind of sucked a bit for me though. I had megazard out and he was destroying with solarbeams, but then the sun petered out, and I had to charge, so he took a stone edge to the face and died.
-
Lql yup. Weather teams have to do a lot more thinking from now on. No more just sending out a weather starter then spamming 1 or 2 attacks. Now they might actually have to use 3 or 4 attacks! :O
They won't like that. Seriously though, so glad they are fixing those broken SS and RD teams. Sun teams weren't as bad as them but it seems they got a nice boost in gen 6 too with Heliolisk being able to use solar power. And now we get to see some electric weather teams.
EDIT:
It seems some old pokemon have gotten their stats changed. Most of these stat changes are minor and will have little to no impact on game play, but some changes are great. For example the change to scolipede, it gained 10 more attack giving it 100 attack and 112 speed. coupled with the fact that it got speed boost as a new hidden ability, scolipede should move on up in the meta game quickly.
Go here to see currently known stat changes
http://www.serebii.net/xy/updatedstats.shtml
EDIT:
Sound based moves hit through subs. :O
-
seems logical for sound moves to do, since it's hearable for anyone. Will maybe make people take supersonic instead of the reliable confuse ray that doesn't hit a substitute.
-
I was mainly only excited because it's great for me. I use bug buzz a lot being mono bug. So this is some great info for me. No more annoying subs from pokemon like sableye or whimsicott. Though those 2 pokemon weren't a threat to begin with but still, it's the thought that counts. :D
-
Psh, Whimisicott is always a threat. Always. ._.
While I agree with Flamelass, as it does make sense from a logical standpoint, I personally don't think it was that necessary, at least in my personal case. Whimisicott is my personal favorite pokemon to use competitively, and so I'm pretty familiar with it, and in the specific pokemon's case, I don't feel that it was needed. While I don't think it'll really affect me that much (as I am mono-dark, after all), I just felt that there were enough effective ways to deal with Whimsicott. I guess this in particular is more of a case by base basis though, but this is just how I felt it personally affected me, not necessarily anybody else. I also forget that Whimsicott is now part fairy type, too, and since I've yet to look into that, I'm not even sure what changes I may have to make to my set.
As for other pokemon I'm excited about competitively, I CANNOT WAIT to get my hands on Greninja once it is balanced. It's such an awesome pokemon.
Also, this kind of fits into X and Y, as the idea somewhat sprouted from it and it can definitely affet the future of the series, as the art director personally wants to take a sinpler route. The full story can be found here (for those of you who read it, thoughts?): http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11/07/pokemon-art-director-wants-to-return-to-simpler-roots
Lastly, I personally can't access the College Humor website where I'm at right now, but they've updated the PokeRap with all 718 pokemon, which obviously includes all of gen VI. The link can be found int his article: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11/08/pokerap-updated-to-include-all-718-pokemon
-
Wait, Whimsicott is fairy. Yet another poke that is a stupid [removed for being offensive] fairy type. I have tried out some of the fairy types, and I really don't like them. Never did before, and even now that I know how some of them work.
On subs and sound moves, that would actually make subbing a lot harder to use, and make supersonic a viable choice over confuse ray. Plus, I think some of the new moves are sound based moves.
Furthermore, I just tested out Mega Alakazam after I got enough BP to get a make my Alakazam a Magic Guard one. It is really fun to use. You can run it as Magic guard for a while, then when a desirable ability comes along, mega evolve, and destroy. I mega evolved on a poke with sheer force and owned it with psychic. Not to mention, Trace can copy Wonder Guard now! http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Trace_(Ability)
Which brings me to another question. Since Trace now copies wonder guard, can skill swap and role play do the same as well? Dark ghosts are SE'd by Fairy now, and I don't have a poke with either of those moves to test that on, but I do have Shedinja.
-
Yup, Sound moves just a decent boost. Though there are only a handful of sound moves so it won't be that big of a problem. The main one that is truly great is sing. Can put pokemon behind a sub to sleep. Which is REALLY amazing competitive wise.
I agree, foodonfloor. I want Greninja as well. It's very strong. It's only real problem is that it's better as a special attacker but it's signature move is physical. Quiet stupid if you ask me. Greninja will be replacing starmie on almost all my teams. Protean is just toooo good offensively and defensively. And since so many people like greninja, I expect to see a lot of it on the balance server.
I can't tell you how many times I have used HP ghost to become immune to the incoming fighting attack that my enemy is throwing at me. And then theres switching to grass type when I use grass knot to resist a thunderbolt.
Protean. Live it. Learn it. Love it. It's good.
-
Quick question though. Would it make sense if Exploud got Boomburst somehow? I know that the move is Noivern's, but Exploud is pretty much the sound pokemon. alot of the moves it learns naturally are sound based, and Loudred did have basses for ears as well.
As for the fairies, The way I use them kind of gives me an advantage on other who use the same kind of fairy. Like for Sylveon: she's naturally made a Wish passer. My Sylveons are a bit more offensive. Gave it leftovers, Bold nature, 100HP/252Def/152SpA Evs, and SB, Moonblast, Psyshock, and Calm Mind. It allows me to get some threats to the rest of my teams KO'd before it goes down to Mega/Scizor. My Gardevoirs are ran the same way, but has FB instead of SB.
As for Azumarril, I run her as Gen 5 did, but with Leftovers instead of Banding it, and replaced Waterfall with Play Rough. the only thing that actually walls her in Ubers is Arceus-Poison. Normal and Steel arceus lose to my fairy rodent mainly because they tend to get greedy with SD.
And Klefki is a monster in Ubers. Swagger has saved me so many times, it's ridiculous. Period.
The only fairies I haven't tried yet are Aromatisse, the cotton candy, the rock fairy and Mawile. I'd go into detail of Togekiss and Xerneas, but togekiss is ran the same way since Gen 4, and Xerneas won't be here.
and another thing. Mega-Medicham. It OHKOs Mega Mawile even after Intimidate. I think it got tired of being treated like Magikarp for too long.
Also, Roloc, since you're the Bug Elite here, whose Mega Evolution do you like better: Pinsir or Heracross?
And just as an added note, Noivern is probably the greatest user of Infiltrator, and the only other Pokemon I know who can have that ability is seviper, and it's too slow to make use of it.
This is all coming from experience on Showdown, of course.
-

Neither. Mega Scizor all the way. I haven't met a fairy yet that can take down my bulky mega scizor. Pinsir and Heracross megas are lacking pretty badly. Heracross is fairly crappy with out it's choice scarf. And without guts, no choice scarf is even worse. Pinsir can do okay with the speed boost it got but, it's ability is pretty lack luster as well. I mean yeah it can turn double edge into a brave bird, and quick attack into a flying type but, eh, still seems to be missing something.
Also, Crobat is pretty awesome with infiltrator too. But, I'm just a banded crobat fan. That fast brave bird boosted with stab and band hitting through a sub is just amazing.
-
Remember when I said about Klefki? Well, he 6-0'd my opponent. It was suppose to be a mono steel vs ghost. HE didn't feel like that.
