Title: I want to know what a good pixel art progarm is

I'm looking for a good free pixel art program.  I'll probably be able to learn it quickly, as I have already learned threr different 3D modeling/ computer animation softwares (rhino, 3ds max, and blender).  I'm not sure if I'd be able to help with the developement of PU (I'm only 16 and I live in California), but I would like to learn how to create good pixel stuff.

Well, if you are using mac, pixen (http://opensword.org/pixen/) is pretty good, you can make animations and stuff, but if you are using PC i would recommend microsoft paint.

If im not mistaken, the PU team uses Vector, not pixel art.

I was mistaken .
 

But yea, the two Boyben10 mentioned are good pixel art programs

You can give Photoshop or GIMP a try. I use the latter and I think it's great!

I agree with Jerry on Photoshop. I use the CS5 and it's outstanding! I love it.

Photoshop, GIMP and MS Paint are your friends.

I've used GIMP some. It is a nice program, but takes some getting used to after using MS paint for a while. However, Paint works well for pixel art.
