Title: Ultimate tag team (double battles)
Post by: jeremiahT on August 18, 2011, 12:28:49 AM
Ok I was playing on my ds and I found the ultimate double battle pokemon for 3 gen that arnt legendary they are latios (if you can call him nonlegendary the battle frontier doesnt or use dragonite) and lapras.

this is why

lapras's special ability lets it take surf and makes it its own hp and surf hits both enemies and give him shell bell and hes unbeatable
latios can learn surf pyshic icebeam and thunderbolt and give him leftovers and its even harder to beat

using this strategy I have done 100 battles in the battle frontier in a row

Think you can beat it? please tell me your team!

I would call Latios a legendary...

Latios IS a legendary. Just because you can use it at the battle frontier, doesn't mean its not.
Only Deoxys Speed forme is banned in the gen 3 battle frontier. Does that make the other forms non-legendary? No.
Just because it isn't banned, doesn't mean its not a legendary pokemon.

Its a simple Surf-Absorb strategy. Nowadays, Hyrdregion/Kingdra + Jellicent/Toxicroak/Vaporeon are a much better choice.

One minor flaw, latios is a ledgendary. Sadly, you will be flammed for that, even though your reasoning is very accurate and knowlagable. Nice research.

Latios is a legendary but its OU in gen 5 so there will be no flamming. Wheather a pokemon is legendary or not is not what makes trainers look negatively on it. Its the tier that counts.

"Not I" said Bing!

I always look down upon legendary pokemon and Stealth Rock.  No matter how much people complain.

I think we've already had this talk on another thread. The support from Stealth Rocks is needed in this VERY offensive metagame and legendaries...well there is no argument for it other than its just how the metagame is. They aren't really legendary since alot of them are either common/outclassed.

I think we did, and we agreed to disagree.
