Special Wall @ Leftovers
252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SpD
Natural Cure, Calm
- Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave / Aromatherapy
- Softboiled

Explanation of Set
It can take nearly any sort of Special Hit easily (just as well as Tentacruel and Noctowl) - and, with this defensive investment, it can take weak physical hits well too. Stronger ones will often be two-hit KOs, however.

Explanation of Set
Pretty standard Ferrothorn. Set up Spikes, Leech Seed your opponent for lovely recovery - Gyro Ball hits extremely hard, while Thunder Wave is useful for your team, and Protect can be used to stall your opponents for HP, while you get 12% of your health back. It also helps you scout for Hidden Power Fire. Power Whip can be used as a powerful STAB.

Egg Move Edits:
None

Example Set
Weak Armour Sweep @ Life Orb
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Weak Armor, Jolly
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Explosion
- Poison Jab / Gunk Shot

Explanation of Set
While Weak Armor seems like a poor ability, Garbodor can make fair use of it through his great physical bulk. Switch in on a weak or resisted physical hit, propelling you to 409 Spe (faster than max base 130s) - then, proceed to deal as much damage as possible. This is best done when your enemy is already weak, as your defence won't hold up so nicely with the negative modifier. When you get low on HP, Explode!

Example Set
Weak Armour Specs @ Choice Specs
252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Weak Armor, Timid
- Thunderbolt
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast / Psychic
- Hidden Power Ice / Fire

Explanation of Set
Again, Weak Armor is great as a one-turn set up. Switch into a physical weak or resisted move, and hit the enemy as hard as you can with a boosted Special attack. Garbodor has fair coverage with Thunderbolt and Hidden Power Ice - while Sludge Wave gives STAB, and Psychic guarantees you're an amazing counter to fighting Pokemon. Focus Blast will hit Steels hard - who are likely to come in to absorb a Poison move, so if you take Psychic, you may want Hidden Power Fire.

Example Set
Physical Wall @ Black Sludge
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Aftermath, Impish
- Spikes
- Toxic Spikes
- Poison Jab
- Protect / Haze

Explanation of Set
Garbodor can serve as an amazing physical wall - with access to both Spikes and Toxic Spikes, and defensive stats that Skarmory envies. What Garbodor lacks however, is reliable recovery (Roost), or even "semi-reliable" recovery (Pain Split). Still, if Garbodor can get Toxic Spikes up, with Protect, he can recover while the enemy suffers. Haze can be used to counter many physical boosters.

Example Set
Quiver Tank @ Leftovers
252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Spe
Intimidate, Bold
- Scald
- Ice Beam / Bug Buzz
- Quiver Dance
- Roost / Baton Pass

Explanation of Set
If you were ever wondering how Masquerain could ruin your day, this is it. So, Masquerain switches in on an attack from your physical sweeper - lowering his Attack with Intimidate. It takes the hit nicely - and as your attacker is now far less effective - and facing down a physically bulky wall, so you switch out. And, as you do - the Masquerain gets a Quiver Dance up. Ruh-roh. Now its specially bulky, and its Scald packs a real punch.
Basically, switch in, set up, Roost off any damage you take - then dent everything as much as possible while keeping yourself healthy. If you would prefer to pass the Quiver Dance boosts to a different Poke - you can replace Roost or Ice Beam with it.

Example Set
Revenger @ Expert Belt / Life Orb
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Iron Fist, Jolly
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Thunder Punch
- X-Scissor / Fire Punch

Explanation of Set
Simple - you switch this guy in to kill things. If you can get him in on a resisted hit (like a special resisted hit), or, after one of your own Pokemon is fainted  - and it's a somewhat easy KO - or, if they switch, it's a free hit. The main things about Ledian are its strong attacks, huge speed, and its greatly varying coverage. If you can predict correctly, especially with the Expert Belt - you'll be punching big holes in the team, possibly grabbing KOs in the process.

Double Powder @ Focus Sash
252 Spe / 252 HP / 4 SpD
Compoundeyes, Timid
- Sleep Powder
- Stun Spore
- Signal Beam
- Aurora Beam / Hurricane

Explanation of Set
Butterfree works pretty nicely with this set - you can use it as a lead, as a mid-game statuser, and - with Aurora Beam and Focus Sash - a decent Dragon counter.
With 252 HP, Butterfree can easily take resisted special hits.
After you sleep a Pokemon (hopefully your opponent's biggest threat) - you can get to work on either paralyzing the rest, or, lowering the Attack of your opponents with Aurora Beam - hopefully forcing many switches.

Example Set
Guts @ Flame Orb
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Guts, Jolly
- Facade
- Sucker Punch
- U-Turn
- Brick Break / Reversal

Explanation of Set
Raticate is awesome. This set is full of pain, and can sweep up extremely well after your team fills the enemy team with holes and status problems. Facade is your bread and butter - coming from a burnt Raticate it is amazing - so amazing, in fact, coverage moves are nearly useless, as they are only useful if Facade is resisted, AND they are super-effective. Sucker Punch is what separates Raticate from other Guts users, it can use its priority to effectively ensure damage - and it especially helps with Ghosts.
U-Turn is great for leaving an enemy Pokemon with a hefty parting gift, while Brick Break is good against the types that resist Normal, such as Steel and Rock. When Raticate drop to below a third of his health, Reversal starts being more effective than Brick Break.

Example Set
Hustle @ Life Orb
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Hustle, Jolly
- Hone Claws
- Sucker Punch
- Brick Break
- Return

Explanation of Set
This set is similar to the one before, but, you don't have an expiry date. You can use any item again, too! But, you lose the amazing Facade, and you get a big old accuracy drop. Accuracy drop is fixed by Raticate's new addition Hone Claws - and you're lovely from there. Again, it is recommended that your enemies are weakened before this Rat is brought out - you must also try to get the Hone Claws up - and that will likely require taking a hit.

Example Set
Special Attacker @ Expert Belt
252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 HP
Lightningrod, Timid
- Focus Blast / Nasty Plot
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power Ice
- Thunderbolt / Discharge

Explanation of Set
The main thing Raichu has is a movepool that extends to ridiculous places. This Raichu has great coverage - specifically the Bolt Beam combo that hits nearly every Pokemon in the game for neutral damage, while it has Grass Knot for heavy Ground Pokemon.
Discharge can be used over Thunderbolt if you want the chance to paralyze.
The final slot can be used in many ways - Focus Blast gives Raichu even more super-effective coverage for Expert Belt - while Nasty Plot can be used to boost up and possibly even sweep.

Example Set
Guts @ Toxic Orb
252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Guts, Jolly
- ThunderPunch / Earthquake
- Facade
- Flare Blitz
- U-Turn

Explanation of Set
This guy can be pretty scary - he functions like Raticate but has different coverage and the powerful Flare Blitz - which, can sometimes end his life prematurely. For this I would recommend having a Wish supporter handy - who can heal up Typh as he hits hard. TPunch/Earthquake can be switched for which coverage you need more - TPunch covers waters, EQ covers Rocks.

Example Set
Flash Eruption @ Choice Scarf
252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 HP
Flash Fire, Modest
- Eruption
- Flamethrower / Fire Blast
- Extrasensory / HP Ice
- Focus Blast / HP Fighting

Explanation of Set
This is a somewhat odd set - but it works absolute wonders when it goes right.
So, say you have Scizor on your team, and complimenting him is a bulky Venusaur, and... you're packing a Butterfree for statusing.  All of these pokemon enjoy a switch in, and so fire will be your opponent's focus. That's where this guy comes in. A scarfed Typhlosion is likely to move first, it is likely to get the 150 power Eruption (337 power with STAB and Flash Fire) - and, so, if you've weakened your enemy enough, it will likely KO. If you are able to bait your enemy into this, great. If Typhlosion gets low on health - start using Flamethrower or Fire Blast. Hidden Power Ice and Focus Blast can just be used for general revenging.

Example Set
Unburden Dance @ Flying Gem
252 Atk / 208 HP / 48 Spe
Unburden, Adamant
- Grasswhistle
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Acrobatics

Explanation of Set
This set can be quite scary. Grasswhistle is your combo-starter. When your opponent switches them out, Swords Dance. Your next move can be Leaf Blade or Acrobatics - but, to get the Unburden boost, go for Acrobatics. That Acrobatics will be at 110 Base Power, * 3 Damage for the Swords Dance and Gem and it'll put you at 2x Speed. At this point you're going to be moving first against all but Priority. With the HP investment hopefully Sceptile can take some weak priority hits.
Obviously you'll want to KO any Steels and Flying types that could ruin your sweep before you attempt it - though Sceptile can be used early for sleep support. Try to sleep his counters.

Safe Physical Sweep @ Leftovers
252 Atk / 88 Spe / 170 HP
Speed Boost, Adamant
- Protect
- Sky Uppercut
- Blaze Kick / Hi Jump Kick
- Night Slash  / Swords Dance

Explanation of Set
While most Blaziken try to go out with a bang, this one tries to build himself up and deal constant damage. The more switches he can force, and the longer he can stay in with Protect and Leftovers, the more he'll get done. 88 Speed allows Blaziken to outspeed a boosted Gyarados with 2 Boosts.

Example Set
Mixed Sweeper @ Life Orb
144 Atk / 240 Spe / 128 SpA
Speed Boost, Naive
- Stone Edge / Rock Slide
- Vacuum Wave  / Protect
- Hi Jump Kick
- Overheat

Explanation of Set
This Blaziken is mixed. He Speed Boosts as usual - and tries to deal hits from both sides of the spectrum.
128 EVs for Overheat makes it pretty devastating, while it makes Vacuum Wave very useful against other priority users.
144 in Attack gives your Physical moves enough bite to be a real threat.
Protect is useful for getting an extra Speed Boost - but the high EV investment with a positive Speed nature should make one SB enough. Vacuum Wave is good for making sure you get the first hit always.

- DynamicPunch

- Fire Punch

Explanation of Set
Switch in when you can, set up a Claw Sharpen, and hope the first hit you take, takes you just below half. After an Attack, Speed and Accuracy Boost, Simisear is scary - DynamicPunch increases its chances of survival, Stone Edge gives useful coverage, and Fire Punch is your standard STAB.
104 Speed EVs ensures you'll out-speed a +1 Gyarados after your Salac Boost - who probably won't enjoy a Stone Edge.

Torterra is a great as a Pokemon who can switch in on common hits - now it can even take Fire, Bug and Flying just fine. What a beast.
