The new overlord is Lloyd huh? Sounds familiar...*coughtalesoffantasiacough*

Oh, by the way... I just now noticed, that my char's name - Aurora is akwardly similiar to that of StarLite - Alora. Should I change my char's name? I'll change it in all posts so far if needed to.
Title: Re: [OOCC] - Disgaea: Presence of Favoritism
Post by: Frenchfry on May 01, 2011, 05:10:44 PM
Lloyd is a fairly common name... and I'm not familiar with Fantasia.

And you can change your name if you want, but it isn't necessary, no.

((sorry for the double post))
Hey, could my char have something like a magicall bag that would have magically increased capacity, that would work like an inventory of some sort?
That way they could carry weapons, potions, even camping gear in there...

I would like to join this rp as a skull but, I'm not sure of the differences between a red/green/blue skull.  I'm guessing it has to do with elemental powers but, I have no idea what each possess.
Title: Re: [OOCC] - Disgaea: Presence of Favoritism
Post by: Silver on May 01, 2011, 06:47:37 PM
I know this one!

Red skulls are fire, blue are ice, and green are wind

Post by: Bing on May 01, 2011, 06:51:02 PM
Ok thanks, though it worked out kinda like I thought.  I guessed that green skulls were nature power.  Ok I'll pm fry my profile.

Edit: Hey frenchfry your inbox is full, so I can't send the profile.
Title: Re: [OOCC] - Disgaea: Presence of Favoritism
Post by: Frenchfry on May 01, 2011, 07:42:17 PM
Personally I always pick the Red skull first, because I once got totally screwed over in the first disgaea due to my lack of a fire-caster. Clearing inbox nao.

Sora, yeah, we have an item bag, and that's probably yet another item that could generate lulz. 24-item capacity, regardless of their size. Items can't be stacked, so two of the same item takes up two spots anyway.

We are going to gain weapon skills as we progres, correct?
Title: Re: [OOCC] - Disgaea: Presence of Favoritism
Post by: Sora on May 01, 2011, 07:48:16 PM
So, is that a yes to item bag?

And if it's a 'yes' does every char own his own item bag, or do we have 1 for the whole party?
(I can't wait to pull 6 feet staff out of a little bag 8D )
Title: Re: [OOCC] - Disgaea: Presence of Favoritism
Post by: Frenchfry on May 01, 2011, 08:07:07 PM
yesh, Sora, I can understand why you're excited to grab that staff by the shaft and pull it out.

...Or something inappropriate like that, I dunno.

At any rate, we have one item bag in which we may store things. And it is indeed magical.

I suppose you're carrying the bag, since you're kinda taking role of the leader huh? Or are we just going to pass it around all the time?

Just a note children, Cedric is going to be Mr. Exposition, seeing as I'm the Disgaea expert around here. So if there's something confusing you about the world, such as Yuiska, reincarnation, or things of that nature, feel free to ask him. Liek in character.

Don't worry, my character is throwing tiny fireballs at him.  So it's all good.

(I just realized that throwing fireballs doesn't do anything about grammer... My bad)

Rex how the hell can you slice my char's throat - aka kill her without asking me first. The group you're attacking isn't a group of NPCs you can kill just like that, you know.
I will igronre the fact that you sliced her throat.
(EDIT: Sorry, Siriana took the sliced throat part)

Honestly, go read charecter profiles, my char is the 100% healer, his is... a mixture of healer and archer so to speak.

Mine has the title of healer, but she was "Naturaly born" as an archer. Fun fact I forgot to include in my bio: Siriana went under Re-incarnation. The parents she killed were Lv 50 Gunner and Archer. Had she not Re-incarnated herself, Everyone excluding Starlite would be dead and she would not know any healing spells.

And no poop, just after that special hat mentioned that it's weird how many people want Lloyd dead, the next post HAD to be about a spy in out group...
I think I'll make my hair talk =D /sarcasm

I hate when that happens in an RP. The story isn't as good when people do that. I didn't really mind the battle, because I could level up Shadow a little bit, since he was too far behind.

Agreed, I don't mind charecters having diffrent unique traits or items, that is as long at they stay unique. Hey, let's all become pyromans now! :P

I'm going to have my helaer get PERFECTLY rid of that amulet spirit once we settle somewhere and stop traveling ok? I'm not saying Silver's char didn't do perfectly fine, but that spirit magically survived it. Would that be fine, or should I leave it?

Why do I have the feeling Isaac's going to throw it in water (or something like that) if you say it's better off destroyed?
Title: Re: [OOCC] - Disgaea: Presence of Favoritism

I'm a little bit unsure how the tiers work, because I've never played Disgaea. On the Disgaea Wiki, it lists the tiers, and it has a level in the box for each tier. I'm assuming that's the level that you have to get to before you go up to the next tier. When you get to a higher tier, do you start at level one again, and raise it to the level for the next tier, or do you start at level one again? And for the monster classes, I noticed that they have skills, as well as evilities. Do the characters in those classes get to use those, or do we ignore them? I'm also assuming that we get to use those, but I want to make sure first.

While similar it's not permanent,  the voice will go away once Issac fuses with it.  The voice in the amulet is more of a guide on how to gain it's power versus what fry's hat which seems to play a companion role.
NO it's not evil so don't be doing this "OH CRAP EVIL PENDENT THING!!! KILL IT!" anymore, I think I should have the say over that.  And fry, I actually did not take the idea from your hat, I got it from Golden Sun: Dark Dawn.  I just got to the part where you get the sand price gem, and it talked to the characters.
Sora while I understand what you're saying, please don't criticize people for a lack of creativity in a Role Play based off a video game.  I realized how similar to fry's hat it was, after I had already posted.

Yeah, you know that was a KILL SPELL I was being nice by letting you keep it. The nince cuts would have vaporized the stupid amulet.

I guess I'll get Sora's "assistance" to actually kill it.

Cause honestly, I think this "fuse" idea is kind of really just dumb.

Well, you really didn't clarify whether it was evil or not. And Sora has every right to say that, and there's a reason too. In an RP, you need to be creative. If you lack creativity, you obviously need to work on your RPing skills.

Wow, I'm actually right for once in these verbal forum fights (party time)

And if you had that idea before, why didn't you say it dropped from forst mob wave? :)

I'm not a perfect RPer, I'm merely touching on some standards of a 'decent' one, but I do my best to be creative, even if it's based on a video game.

Sora, I'm not angry at you really for your comments, I'm more annoyed at silver for his.  What if I Rped that I walked up took your samurai's items and just lit them on fire destroying them, just because I think your idea for them is a little dumb...  It's just an idea, not all of them are going to be the best.  Get over it, and really your gonna go as far as to hunt a stupid amulet.  It speaks volumes of your maturity.

Edit: I just read what you posted in the RP.  Can you please stop posting about an item my character found.  It should be my call what's done with it.

It doesn't matter, you don't attack something about someone's character just because you don't like an idea, or it's similar to one someone else had.

Yeah, you know that was a KILL SPELL I was being nice by letting you keep it. The nince cuts would

Cause honestly, I think this "fuse" idea is kind of really just dumb.

This is all the proof I need.  I had respect for silver and it has dropped a bit now, with this bout of immaturity.  I hope that all of this can just be forgotten and we can move on with the RP and I also hope that proves to be the level headed mature person I thought he was.
Title: Re: [OOCC] - Disgaea: Presence of Favoritism
Post by: TrainerX on May 04, 2011, 10:59:02 PM
Out of all of the people in the world, Silver is one of the most mature people. And it's his char, he can do what he wants with him. He's not modding your char, and there's nothing in the rules about it.
Title: Re: [OOCC] - Disgaea: Presence of Favoritism
Post by: Bing on May 04, 2011, 11:02:33 PM
The comment made about him wanting to destroy it because he thinks it is dumb, is immature.  So your saying I could rp that I walk up and burn Fry's hat just because I think it's dumb.  That's not being respectful of another PU member.  Which is in the rules.

I've seen enough.

To solve this... I don't know what needs to be done...

For now, I'd suggest the amulet becomes a unique equip, but cannot interact with the character, beyond stat increases.

It's not really dumb, more of an unfair advantage...

In Alora's case, she is starting to get bits of her memory back, learning bow skills...

The rest of them get stronger/better with their abilities because they keep using them.

Again, having an item tell you how to make yourself more powerful is an unfair advantage...

That might be one of the reasons why Silver thinks it's a dumb idea, which is why his character tried to destroy it.

My character has a mental dysfunction having a guide makes sense.  Sorry, maybe my character needs a guide to get stronger, maybe that is what makes him unique.

Also, nothing anyone has said has addressed the disrespect I received.  Which is against forum rules.

Post by: LeoReborn on May 04, 2011, 11:21:31 PM
No offense, Bing, but With an Rp that has this many members, it is very difficult to keep track of EVERY character.

Because of this, I'm not sure many of us were aware of your character's mental state.

Come back, and explain to us in full detail, what the amulet is, does, and it's purpose.

Then we can get a reasonable solution.

Flaming is also against the rules, so I don't want to anything like I saw earlier.
Title: Re: [OOCC] - Disgaea: Presence of Favoritism

I never "flamed" I even spoke highly of silver at one part and I told sora that I'm not angry.  I'm just annoyed that's all.  My personality (not a characters) does not let me take disrespect lightly, and after I stated what I felt about a post they still continued to post to their own wishes disregarding everything I said.

So overall. I'm sorry if I flamed, though I don't think I did.  It's just when I feel disrespected, I don't sit down and say "Oh, well..."  I let my point of view known and defend myself.

The reason i find that amulet dumb is because of what you're letting it do.

You literally gave yourself a stat boosting item that even comes with the extremely cliched concept of "fusion". You really can't say that you need this "guide" of yours just because of the mental state of your character. Actually, I find that sad. I just went thourgh omnicide as a shizophrenic. It was great.

I had a problem with your unfair item. I tried to solve the problem in character. You, on the other hand, decided that you were going to have a fit and run away. If you have a problem with it, deal with it in character. Giving up and running like you just did is also a sign of immaturity.

Do you know whats dissrespectful? Giving up on the RP while everyone was willing to play with you.

I'm more than happy to welcome you back, but I have no regrets watching you leave either.

I'll ask you to reconsider your descision.

I'm sorry, I removed myself in the heat of the moment.  I like this rp,  I'll have to consider rejoining if we both agree to apologize.  You for doing something that could possible affect my character growth idea without asking and me for blowing up about it and calling you immature.  If this is acceptable and you still want me in the RP I can modify the post where Issac wanders off and just have him wander back into the group.

Ok, well then.  I guess I know the answer...  I felt largely disrespected and the only answer give was because it was a "dumb" idea.  There was no legit reason pointed out until after I had blown the whole thing up.  I know I went above and beyond but, that's just who I am.  If silver want's to laugh about that, I want nothing to do with him.

a·pol·o·gy/??päl?j?/Noun
1. A regretful acknowledgment of an offense or failure: "my apologies for the delay".

I don't regret anything I did, therefore, any apology you would get from me would mean about as much as it would if a child being forced by his parents apologised to you.

I explained further why it was a dumb idea. I also invited you back.

But again, I really didn't care either way.

So *waves*

In other ways, like a child. Don't let your stubborn personality get in the way of your concience

Also Bing, You are a Red Skull, "flaming" is your specialty =P

If I feel no regret, then I believe they have the right to know there isn't an apology coming their way. It has nothing to do with being stubborn.

I see what you're getting at, no point in wasting their time...

All the way you where forgeting something guys...

Your RP char /  <----------------------------------------------------------->  / You

There should be a big gap between the two.
I'll speak my mind more clearly later, for now, I have to go to school.

Ok, so first of all, thank you Bing for not holding a grudge against me.

I'm not going to say anything more than that. Let's just leave this behind. We can make Rex's char NPC and meet him later, maybe we can fight him just before Lloyd, since he's suppose to be a traitor. Isaac's fine just wandering off.

Now, let's all continue the RP =D
We can still keep it alive despite this argument~ Mystical stick was a good idea to make it interesting, by the way.
