I got this idea from another topic about picking where your hometown is.
If you could live anywhere in the pokemon world, where would it be and why?
I would live in Castelia City. It is by far my favorite city in the games and I love the metropolis type cities in the real world. I would kick out Burgh and replace him with a psychic gym leader though...
-
I personally wish I had come from Cinnibar island from the Origonal Pokemon games.
Although im reasonably social, I like my alone time.
The whole island is surrounded by water pokemon which is another intrest for me.

Not to mention the lvl 150 Snorlaxes
Personally, I always liked Saffron city. It had two gyms, and was pretty much in the centre of Kanto, not to mention Rail links to Johto :)
-
I would live in pallet town, simply because apparently many people live there, but, only two homes and a lab exist. Wut teh epic furry balls?
-
Floraroma Town because it's so pretty. I also get to see Drifloon every Friday.
-
Floraroma Town because it's so pretty. I also get to see Drifloon every Friday.
But every Friday it attacks you wut now?
-
I would probably live on one of those islands that surround Mossdeep city. They seem peaceful and quiet.
-
Verdanturf town has always been a wonder of me, quiet, peaceful remote from big noisy towns, next door is Mauville, the electric city and a ride down is for shopping in Slateport :3
-
Sootopolis, because you have to have Dive or Fly to even get there, so either way your gonna feel epic, and it is the last Gym, so some strong trainers to fight. Also the hall of Origin's is near. Also it is near Sky Pillar, which is my favorite. Also Hoenn is the best region.
-
Floraroma Town is first on my list. I really like a lot of places in the pokemon world, so yeah its hard but it would be peaceful in Floraroma.
-
I would come from the forest! 8)
-
Where would you live and what forest!?
-
In a tree! Every forest!
-
HOLY CRAP WHATVSBABETNAENGNFGADG
-
So... I get you'll be a leaf or something? ???
;D
-
yes i shall wear leafs! 8)
-
Blackthorn City...cus dragon pokemon rock.
-
I would live in Kanako Town, Pokemon Black and White ftw.
-
I come from a tree!
-
Cinnebar island or viridian city.
-
I'd come from Mt Moon. Zubatlolzubat

-
Littleroot, Saffron, or Sootopolis.
-
Slateport because its a HUGE Hoenn town. <3
-
striation city
-
Crown City, mainly for the reason i love being able to be near people but not to to many and at the same time being surrounded the forest surrounded by pokemon. And if it was from the unova region probably Nacrene City.
-
For some reason this is really hard for me to answer...
Probably due to the fact that I have a hard time picking a "favourite" pokemon, and naturally I want to live where my favourites are...
I want my starter to be Piplup, but I don't really care for the other pokemon in Sinnoh, so I would hate to live there.
I suppose I would prefer to live in Johto. I like familiarity and even the largest city doesn't seem so huge there. (:
If I had to narrow it down in Johto, I would say either:
-Ecruteak city, because of all the culture there. Lot's of history and stories and the buildings look old and beautiful.
-Azalea town. It would be nice and quiet and a cave on the right for exploring as well as a forest on the left. Not to mention the slowpoke well and the town's love of slowpoke, probably resulting in at least one yearly festival which would be a blast to attend.
-
New Bark Town , I love Johto.
-
If I had to come from a town. some where in Shinno
-
If I had to pick a Town it'd probably be Lavender Town, purely because of the Graveyard and the fact that ghost Pokemon are just epic. Plus it's where we first found out Pokemon could die, in the game
-
Lavender Town Syndrome.
http://www.rickey.org/?p=43703
-
Have to choose between, Cinnabar, Fortree or Lavaridge town...
I choose lavaridge... hotsprings... sand baths... Fire Pokémon... ~
I do like forests but I like fire-type Pokémon, and Cinnabar is a bit Isolated when I think about it.
-
for me it would be blackthorn city, i'd be the strongest dragon tamer and i would replace claire as gym leader :P
-
I'd deffo build myself a shack in the woods. You would all visit me to buy ... uhm ... herbal things for *ahem* .. your pokemon.
OT: Pallet Town because Ash's mom is a cougar and don't pretend like you haven't thought about it. I'd tap that any/every/all-day(s).
-
i think i would love to live in the famous kanto virridian city its a great place to begin and to end. u could visit home before the final tournament.
-
Anywhere that there's a waterfall, really.
-
Tohjo falls? :P
I think Giovanni already tried that.
-
Nah, not in a cave, I was thinking more like Route 116 in Hoenn
-
Either Goldenrod, Saffron, or Mossdeep City.
-
I'd tap that any/every/all-day(s).
I prefer women my age. Or perhaps a year or two younger. *Pedo smiles*
Frenchfry would set up shop in some major city, since somehow in major cities people still have individual houses, and since there are no cars for some reason, I'd prolly have some peace and quiet in my house.
-
anywhere where there are cool pokemons
-
i say pallet town because i dont really know all the towns or cities yet
-
Pacifidlog would be cool
-
I would want to live in Sootopolis City, It's a city in a mountain surrounded by water, plus cave of origin in a close cave (8D3
-
i would pick Fortree City all the way. simply because i loooooooovvvvvvvveeeee flying type Pokemon
-

Ehh Fortree doesn't really promote flying...it just has a flying gym in it lol. It seems more nature-like and better suited for grass types and such. Now a city thats really dedicated to flying types would be Mistralton City. It has an airport, planes, a flying gym, and an awesome runway! :P
-
Fushia (red/blue). The safari zone is right there, and there would be a lot of people and pokemon to meet.
-
I still want to come out of a forest and kick every ones butt!
-
You do that crazy forest guy, while we bask in civilization's glory.
-
I think I'd like to live in Goldenrod c:
-

...
-
I go for fortree city, treehouses ftw :>
-
I go for fortree city, treehouses ftw :>
Haha.. nice... personally... I'd like Fortree but also Sootoplis City... :S
Soo... heh.. Perhaps Sootopolis is my final answer... Love water pokemons. ^^
-
Cinnabar Island for me. I love fire pokemon and the idea of living by an active volcano is pretty sweet.
-
Mt. Moon like a boss 8) who needs a city when you can be like Tarzan except cave version.
-
New Phanec City, Orre
-
cinnabar? strange seeing it dont exsist anymore, stupid volcano =(
i would choose saffron city cus it would be awesome to train under Sabrina, psychic for the win!!!
-
Mt. Moon like a boss 8) who needs a city when you can be like Tarzan except cave version.
NO! ME TARZAN!
-
I remember writing a fan fic (started out as a pokemon RPG that died) and I had my character live in the Forest that was just south west of Celadon City just to the right of route 16.
I went by this map
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t275/Sydnie_and_Sparks/Pokemon%20stuff/kanto.jpg
so that is where I would like to come from :)
-
Eh, probably Cinnabar Island. Fire pokemon, active volcano, pokemon lab and spooky mansion - what's not to like? ;D
-

The active volcano and the spooky mansion part? Lol ::)
People keep saying that there are fire types on Cinnabar. There really isn't that many.
-

Gotta have some sort of excitement on the island. :P

Eh, there's more there than in other places. Fire types are just scarce in general. :-\
-
Fuchsia City / Lilycove City / Pastoria City because of the safari zone's

Very true. Fire types are generally rare because fire doesn't occur too often in nature. If you notice, fire types are much more common in southern regions like Hoenn as opposed to northern regions like Sinnoh.
-
Cinnabar has more poison types because of the mansion, and water types because it's an island.
-
Is there a place anywhere in the pokemon world thats predominantly fire types?
-
Is there a place anywhere in the pokemon world thats predominantly fire types?
No, fire types appear in some areas in every gen, but they don't appear often.
-
I think Hoenn has the most fire types. Fire is rare in the wild, so like, fire types are rare.
-
I think Hoenn has the most fire types. Fire is rare in the wild, so like, fire types are rare.
Actually, Hoenn has the fewest fire types. Only six, to be exact. Followed by Sinnoh, which has seven.

Sinnoah (In DP) only has 2 families; with a total of 5 fire type pokemon.
Hoenn has a total of 11 fire types in the wild. Big difference.

Oh, I misunderstood. I was looking at how many new fire types were in that generation.
-
Even then, Sinnoh didn't have 7 new fire types o.o
I count 5, while Hoenn has 7 lol.
-

If you count the fire type forms of Arceus and Rotom then technically there are 7. And what is the seventh one in Hoenn? The only ones are Torchic, Combusken, Blaziken, Numel, Camerupt, and Torkoal.
-
Slugma magcargo, vulpix nintales.

Oh you were counting Rotom and Arcues. Rotom-H wasn't part fire back in gen 4 though lol. I'm counting Castform-S as its a fire type in the sun.

Oh, that makes sense.
-
Johto. Cool pokes. Easy access to Kanto.
-
New bark town. :D
-
Pallet Town because Pro Oak lives there.
-
Probably one of the more mechanical or Metropolis towns; likely Black City. I could hang out next to the guy playing the Keytar all day and you can catch Vullaby's pretty nearby!
-
New Bark or Pallet Town.
Because the first 2 generations was the best.
-
Anywhere plus dodo100 your signature is I DON'T HAVE SIGNATURE that sounds like you don't have a signature but it's your signature pretty genius.
-
Probably Blackthorn City.
-

I know its genius :D
-
Whirl Islands, because my favorite type of Pokemon is water, my 2nd favorite is Psychic and ghost ^^"
-
Jotho or Kanto.
-
Definitely Vermilion City, i would be a trainer in the gym there hahahha, i LOVE electric pokemon.
-
Violet Town, Jotho!
Cause they have a PKMN School, short way to Ecruteak, Ruins of Alf (pfhpfhpfffff) and the National Park and I could challenge the Bellsprout Tower :D

I know its genius :D

-
*points down at own signature* Old Chateau for the win. It's close enough to Eterna City that I can get human contact whenever I want, but it's nestled enough into the forest and got enough rumors about it that I don't have to worry about unwanted visitors too often. :)
-
Spirit World :D
-
kantoh its a nice simple place i've got lost in damn near every other game...cities and paths be confusing... which is stupid and unnessesary--fail- u get the point (kantoh was prolly a fail too lol)
-

How did you get lost in Kanto? It's like... HOW?!
Also, Hoenn. If anyone get lost in there, just listen. I can go blinded from Petalburg to Rustboro. As long as I got sound, I can go to Lavaridge too :D BLINDED!
-
I have reconsidered my favorite place, Icirrus City. It reminds me alot of home...
-
Im a pretty classic guy, I would most likely choose to live in pallet town, but something also fascinates me about living in Curulean for the water pokemon and nugget bridge or Viridian for the tough training that goes on there!
-
I'd start from the beginning like ash and do it right.
-
I'd start from the beginning like ash and do it right.
like ASH and do it right.
^ Doomed to fail
-
Hmm...Johto!!
-
Veilstone city!
I would overthrow team galactic's hideout and claim it as mine.
Then id build a team myself.
Team Excalibur.
Instead of having any bad goal.We would be the good guys, pwning every bad team to dust.
FTW!
-
Mt. Silver
-
Mt. Silver
You wouldn't come from there. You would end up there, eventually.
And then Red would most likely kick your ass...
-
I didn't ask 4 your 2 cents. This thread just ask where i would come from, it doesn't say Solx the douche try and put down people.
-
Sootopolis City
Because you have to dive to get there the first time and because hoenn is the epicest region ever (so far). ;)
-
I didn't ask 4 your 2 cents. This thread just ask where i would come from, it doesn't say Solx the douche try and put down people.
Yeah your exactly right Deion, Solx is a real jerk all the time...
JKJKJKJKJKJKjk messin with you Solx.
-
Anywhere near the Pkmn champ living area, that or mt. silver. and if red want's some, I'll have a leafeon, Togekiss and starmie ready to make him feel and look like ash :D 8)
-
hmmm thats a tough one.. I think pewter city is pretty cool. its near a cave, in the town with brock and he's pretty cool. also, there is a forrest and the diglett cave nearby
-

Yeah your exactly right Deion, Solx is a real jerk all the time...
JKJKJKJKJKJKjk messin with you Solx.
Hehe, it's OK Shadow...
And Deion, I didn't mean to be a douche. All I mean is that people could at least be realistic about what they choose. Mt. Silver is a place where nobody lives. It's wilderness. Red is there because... I don't know actually. I haven't finished that part of the manga yet.
The only buildings I know have been at Mt. Silver is the Pokemon Center and that place where you get Steel Wing in the Gen2 games...
And I'm not sure if I've already posted my place... It would be Violet City :)
For those who don't know where that is, it's in Jotho. The Gym Leader is Falkner, Bellsprout Tower, Johto's Trainer School..
-
Fuchia city because of the safari zone and the cycling road ;D
-
Nimbasa or castelia, the small town thing just isn't me.
-
Hmm, this is actually pretty difficult. I'm most familiar with the Kanto and Hoenn regions but I've been playing SoulSilver recently and I really like the Johto region. So if I had to choose it'd be either New Bark, Celadon, or Excruteak City.
-

You're not a douche :O I think you're awesomesauce =w=I'd live at one of the whirl Islands, and if I lived in Sinnoh Region I'd live in Pastoria or in Eterna city.
-
I'm an old school fella. I'm small town, I'd live in Pallet Town; And swim to Cinnabar on occasions and kick it wit Blaine.
-
i want to be lance's little brother.
-
I would most definitely be from Blackthorn. I love Dragons, and mostly just use them. (I do have some pseudo-dragons though...)
