Almost any sweeper would suck if it's paralyzed. I think Aegislash will be predictable, but maybe someone will be able to get a good hit in when the opponent thinks it's about to use king's shield. Honestly if I get this game, that's one of the pokemon I really look forward to using. Whether the metagamers put him in OU or UU. I think No Guard may be a great ability to give to a ghost/steel type. Lots of resistances, and immunity to three types. Ignoring the removal of two resistances...

I may have already said I pretty much forgot Mawile existed until recently. I'm glad it's getting some attention, I guess.

Yeah, it's really not much of an offensive type. It's main claim is the high number of resistances it has. It's super effective against another type now, but I don't think it really makes up for the loss.

On another note, I am glad poison is super effective against the new type too. That one isn't a great offensive type either. It's super effective against a type that's weak to four other types.

I've been reading that steel types no longer resist ghost and dark moves. This is disappointing. I guess on one hand it's good that the type that reists over half the types on the game got a bit of a nerf, but that means the new cool ghost/steel sword pokemon is weak to ghost and dark attacks as well as ground and fire (and fighting is foresight is used). They made a powerful ghost type that wouldn't be weak to dark moves, and decided steel types shouldn't resist ghost and dark attacks in the same generation.

I've been wondering if anyone has considered giving Empoleon more physical attack at the cost of some of its defensive stats. I've always thought he had potential, but I haven't been too impressed by the smogon sets they recommend. If he doesn't get roost, he could just go more offensive, and rely on his high number of resistances instead of superior defensive stats. Not that I'd say drop his defenses way down, but enough to make up for maybe raising his physical attack to 100+.

Why did they decide to do that? What are you going to use it on if it's ineffective against two types you would need a fighting type attack for?

I wonder if I could get someone to redo my little elemental elites banner. I would like the Elemental Elites part in the bottom to be brighter, and easier to read. Just make it a lighter blue. Also give me Gyarados, Starmie, and Greninja.

Aegislash shield form may give Bronzong a run for its money for best steel wall.

I can kind of see Gyarados being part dark since it's a scary, violent pokemon. Still I just don't know why they'd pick part dark over dragon. Unless they made it dragon/dark. Gamefreak does not always make clear sense.

Thanks.  At first I was wondering how Skrelp would compare to Tentacruel, but I noticed it evolves into a dragon type. I'm afraid I don't get why they decided to make the seahorses dragon types. They also made mega Gyarados a dark type instead of dragon. WHY?

Anyway, I'm glad Clawizter is a good one.

Heracross with skill link sounds beastly.

Has anyone tried out the water types yet? I've been having some trouble getting the simulator to work, and I\m curious about the pistol shrimp one, as well as the new water/rock type. It's weird looking, but if it's a good pokemon I will overlook its appearance.

Thanks for testing out the new type, man. I have still been thinking about switching to flying, but i haven't really been able to convince myself to give up water due to my already fairly extensive knowledge of the type. Of course with enough effort, I could do the same with flying.

I see they didn't choose dark to be super effective against fairy types, though poison and steel are. I figure steel because fairy tails often happen in forests, or in a time before technology. Poison is often considered an evil force in stories, so that makes sense. Fairy type is actually resistant and super effective against dark, as well as dragons. Also fighting, because magical utopias are often peaceful.

ANOTHER bug type with speed boost? Whatever.

Gen 6 has given us quite the weird looking new rock/water type. Also the evolution of that pistol shrimp get an enormous claw.

There seem to be several new type combinations we haven't seen before (not counting fairy), which is cool. I don't yet know what fairy's resistances and weaknesses are.

Well the games have been out for a few days. I saw some on Serebii.net, and I really like how Froakie turns out. I also like how they're all part fighting/psychic/dark as well as grass/fire/water. I think I'm going to get it, but I'd need to buy a new handheld system to play it on. Unless the WiiU can play handheld games or something.

I might try to make sure the PU simulator is working and build up a non mono team to try out.

I've been spending the last couple of months building a 40 yeard wall in my parent's front yard to level it out, and putting new grass down. It would have been faster, if not for frequent rains. We just finished.

Maybe not two whole months, but over a month. In any case, it shouldn't have taken as long as it did.
